- I take the Subaru Outback Car Camping/for a Shake Down Overnight to try out the electric cook pot powered by the Alpha-Ess 1000w power supply while providing power for the Tutus Refrigerator. Cooking In the Car both Dinner and then Breakfast. The scenario of this trip if to find out if these will work as I prepare for a future travel vlog series.

That was an awesome video. You should be more careful about opening your door to strangers like that. That fellow had a wild look in his eyes. Luckily it turned out that you knew him. I laughed so hard at that, my wife looked at me like I was crazy. lol
Maybe think about wearing a disguise. Check out Sean Emery’s channel for some costume ideas. He plays several different character’s.
Does this mean that you may have a stalker? I for one think you'd be wise to continue trying to capture the dude on future videos...one never knows what kind of shady characters may be following you in the future...🤣

Yeah I know he's a quite a character but actually hard to book and nail down to get on camera he really doesn't like it that much sometimes I can't even get them in the studio to get on and say something he's like no I don't want to do that oh well maybe someday

What a cool scene with Studio Tony! LOL. Loved it. I'm going to be very tuned into your road trip. The southwest is my favorite part of the country and I considered relocating to AZ in my twenties. Still in OH with grandkids now so anything permanent is off the table at this point. Looking forward to the series!
Yeah the grandkids make it tough especially for our wives but yes getting everything prepared for the road trip thinking maybe in a couple weeks just got to get some more things situated and the car a little bit more travel Worthy for doing different stops really need a rooftop storage area

What a fun video! A little suggestion - a pair of kitchen shears would work for cutting up the chicken and the bacon and eliminate the need for a cutting board. Plus they are easy to clean.

Hey Tony, I don't know if this will work but I'm going to try it. I'm a Dialysis Paitent. I noticed a Davita Dialysis clinic in your video. My treatments start at 5:00 Am. I'm going to park in front of a dialysis clinic overnight. They all have an early shift. If I get the knock, I'm going to tell them I'm travelling and I'm here for a 5:00 Am treatment. Just be sure to tape some gauze over your left forearm.

Thank you brother yeah that was a good Shakedown I felt very confident with what and how it is shaping up and like I said in the video I probably will not use that TV table when I actually travel it was just too cumbersome around my feet yeah Studio guy is a character whatever he shows up he's always good for a laugh if I don't know he was coming I would have tried to at least save him a couple dumplings oh well maybe next time but the car camping went exceptionally well thanks for watching buddy

Great video, Tony! I bought pre cut window kits from Weathertech. Perfect fit, and they are black on one side and reflective on the other.
Look that's awesome I will have to look into that because seems like that would be way easier where they cut specifically for your car type and model

I absolutely did NOT think it was a good idea that you opened the door to confront the stranger. You really had me going there because inside my head I was yelling "DON'T OPEN THE DOOR! JUST CRACK THE WINDOW". Glad it was only Studio Tony because I don't think he's scary. A couple of nights ago my car wouldn't start and I had to call Triple A to come and give my battery a charge. The guy told me that I needed to leave the engine running for two hours before I turned it off so I went and got a sandwich and parked in a shopping center parking lot to eat and let the motor keep running so my battery would recharge. This was from 6:45 to 8:45 at night and I was a bit skittish about sitting in a parking lot after dark but I made sure my doors were locked and I just sat there eating my sandwich and listening to an Audible book on my Kindle. It may not have helped my nerves any that it was a Stephen King book! I was more than a little concerned when someone came up and knocked on my window (it was NOT Studio Tony) and it was a young lady pushing an older man in a wheelchair. Sorry, but I will not even crack a window for someone I don't know and I just motioned them to move along and I went back to my sandwich. When you opened your door in this video I nearly crawled out of my skin. DON'T DO THAT TO US. Some of us might have weak hearts! 🤪🤪🤪

Whew I was actually nervous! Lol something like that would actually happen here, it's scary. But with actually mean people.
I thought the same when you were shopping and were getting the good long-shots of yourself, you have to put your tripod up and walk away from it, I can't do that, someone here would just run and grab my phone or camera so fast. I even had a 12 year old little boy jump out of a car that slowed down in the middle of the road, and he ran up and grabbed my tablet from my hands, jumped back into the car, and whoever was driving sped off. It's why I'm always pointing my camera at the ground and whispering in all my videos, I'm so afraid someone will see me recording and see an opportunity to grab a free device and pawn it in some shady shop for $20.
In one of my videos I was urban hiking and recording and my friend said "that guy has a gun" and I put my camera away because a man was walking past us in the other direction, just cleaning his gun right out in public, while walking. And then he went off the path into the trees somewhere after passing us, and then we kept seeing him walking not too far from us when we were all the way on the other side of the park like he was following us.
And even once I was camping on BLM land for free and making steaks at 1 am in the desert and some weird couple in a jeep or something similar (couldn't see what it was) came roaring right up to our table and kept saying we had to "party" with them, and I kept telling them to leave and they were gettting really mad that we were "buzzkills" and "being aggressive" and that this is a "party foul". So finally I called 911 and asked if they can send a car out and then the couple got mad and sat in their car shining their roof mounted floodlights in our faces for a minute, and then peeled out super fast, I almost thought they were gonna run over our tent or my friend's car just out of malice, but they didn't. They just sprayed us with sand and went down the mountain lke 70 mph on a dirt road. And also I burned the steaks because they were wasting my time so we had to eat s'mores for supper :( kind of a bummer.

LOL yeah that dumpling recipe from Frank pokorny that's his family recipe he was so excited to have me share it but one sleeve of saltine crackers to six eggs . Turn the eggs into a I'm sorry not eggs but the saltine crackers into a powder by crushing them and then adding the six eggs spoon the mixture into boiling water or your broth and that makes the dumplings yum oh you'll have to let me know if you try it they are delicious. A book deal LOL you never know right here we go good night

I always make my dumplings too big because it's my favorite part! And then I get half a pot of dumplings that soaked up the broth, and some chicken and veggies to eat with my mostly-dimpling lol I love it. Also when I made that camp-cobbler at my McDonalds camp, it turned more like dumplings since it was in a pot. I'm looking into maybe finding some mini cast iron dutch ovens so I can make proper cobbler and cake and stuff.
Btw, that zip plastic bag you used to crush and mix the crackers, is that something you kept from a product, or reusable bags you bought, or just regular storebought disposable? I look for reusable kinds that I can wash out and keep over and over, but I also clean durable "disposable" ziploc bags and reuse them too. But I like the yellow strip at the top, I see a lot that come in multi colors or color coded and I do prefer that. You have some really awesome cooking gear. I need to get that plug-in pot for my friend, his apartment has a useless oven and range that he can't use, so he heats everything in a toaster oven in a ramekin, or on a hot plate like a college dorm room. The other day we made burgers by frying our own patties individually on these tiny panini grills he had on his counter, it was like camping in the kitchen!

Yeah I ate all the dumplings I had no idea he was going to show up but he scared to live in tore out of me when he knocked on the window then he had to have his face covered like that I didn't know who it was and then all of a sudden oh Studio Tony what a character I'll tell you it was really nice of him to stop by and see how it was doing he just wanted to say good night you know I still don't know if you made it home I haven't seen him for a couple days after I wave to him in the parking lot oh well he'll turn up

Hi!! I missed at what step you add the veggies & chicken into the water…before the dumpling mixture or afterwards? How long do you let them boil? Thanks!
I put the onions chicken and little bit of carrots into the water as soon as I got them cut up by scraped them in off The Cutting Board now as far as the chicken and dumplings once the Water started to boil and I started dropping them in it wasn't but maybe three minutes I turned it off the water was plenty hot enough and I just let it sit there and cool down in that finished cooking the dumplings

Yeah opening the door it's a good thing it was only Studio Tony LOL yeah as far as clothing I was thinking of that today you know when you're on a through hike you only have like one pair of pants one shorts maybe two pairs underwear t-shirt heavier shirt coat jacket but very limited on clothes I will be able to have a few more on this trip and depends on how I set storage up so haven't quite got that one nailed down yet but I was thinking about it today
Have you thought about a car crockpot, so you have a hot meal when parking for the night?
