- In today's FS17 time lapse video, which is set in Goldcrest Valley-
The logging is finished for now, so we're going to get a little more land with our cash, and buy a new combine and chaser wagon. A Massey Ferguson combine and a Bergmann chaser wagon are joining the fleet, and they're put to good use straight away as we get stuck straight into our first harvest with them!

Put dual tires on the Case 9230. In America every combine has duals or tracks. That is if their corn head is more than 6 rows. And the combine just looks weird with singles.
since you are in the US you should call the chaser wagon a grain cart. that is what we call them. plus i think that case would look nice with duals on it and that is also very common here in the US if you wanna be realistic.

Just chop all of them down and pile them at the edge of the field to sell when needed allowing you to use that field for an extra grass Field
both those harvesters are rotary. the length therfore of the massey is an advantage but as they don't use straw walkers it is not much help. but I like the masseys length a lot
case hasn't used walkers since the 15 series back in the late 70s to 80s? when the 1400 series came out they had patented the rotor. John Deere made fun of the rotor for 16 years until the patent was up. The secret to the rotorary combine is it's simplicity. they are way more efficient than any walker machine. the only upside to the walker machine is that it is more gentle on the straw
I didn't realise Case hadn't used walkers for a long time! I've never used a Case combine, although I've baled up after one with a rotary system and the straw is smashed to bits on them. It's definitely better getting straw from straw walkers :)
Yeah. There is a custom harvest that I personally know, he has a 2388, a 2588 case. Then he has a 9500 John Deere that he only uses for straw because that's what the farmers want
I don't wanna add to the argument of rotary vs walker combines. But when you where talking about the Massey and case, neither of them have straw walkers as they are rotary combines. The smaller Massey have walkers along with the tc 5.90 new holland and john deeres t 670
I didn't actually realise they were both rotary combines, so thank you for correcting me, I always like to make sure I get my facts straight :)
Should have brought the case header for the massey, would be easier

Frith the case is a different sort of combine compared to the mf because if the case would be build as the mf it would be to big. So they use a better technique on it to make it smaller and in the process better but in a downside of a bigger cost

He doesn't have enough time. It takes (I think) 6 hours to record just one time lapse episode.

The Case IH Combine is shorter because it uses a newer and compacter technology then the MF ( i dont know the english word for it but in german we call it "Rotor" maybe it is the Same in english)
this technology ist much more efficent then what is normaly used in combines and it is better for the grain you can also drive faster, but it needs better weather conditions then normal combines to run flawless.
btw. I think the Cr 10.90 and Class Lexion Series use a compareable technology.

Chris Tomic yes, but case once build some walker Machines with the Fortschritt Plans in a old Fortschritt factory in the old GDR but those where pretty bad.
How long ago was that?
I dont know exact dates but i found a used one on ebay from 2001, just search for Case IH CF 70 ore 80

Yup, here in the UK the midday meal is called either dinner or lunch, usually if it's cooked it's dinner, if it's sandwiches it's lunch. Then the evening meal is called tea or dinner, depending again if it's cooked or not. Tea would be sandwiches and cake etc, dinner would be a cooked meal, although that's more interchangeable and a lot of people always call the evening meal tea, regardless of it being cooked or not :)
