I last visited Holyhead in 1961 when I was 13. The fish looked so good, I've actually eaten my mobile phone by accident!!!😂😂😂
Must visit Holyhead soon, again.
If you do visit Holyhead, please keep an open mind. Like a lot of Northern industrial towns that has lost its way, it's gone down an awful lot.
But the scenery is still there. And of course that chippy.

My mum and dad took me to Prices years ago they make beautiful fish and chips and it looks like nothing has changed great review and content again Lee the channel is really producing some great reviews lately.

I've always thought that the chances of you coming to my shop were incredibly small, so imagine my surprise when you did a review on us a couple of days ago..... I couldn't believe it. Tina had mentioned that she'd had someone in doing a vlog but i never considered it would be you...Wow.
Tina is a star, isn't she? We've owned the shop for 18 years and she had just started a month or two before that. Couldn't ask for better!
Just out of interest...how did you pick us, find us, decide on us? Was it just complete luck, research or had you been pointed our way?

Hey Mike!! Wow. That's mad. I would have loved to have met you. I just had a wander around the town whilst my car was charging and walked past your shop and it was open and I liked the look of it so went back to my car and filmed a vlog. It was pure coincidence and fate. I have to say I'm so glad I filmed it. What amazing fish and chips. Deserved a ten. Only wish you had been there now. :)

My friend Vageesh was in Britain for a year doing an LLM in London. I had asked him to try the fish and chips there, since the country there has plenty of fish and it being a popular food in the UK. He was quite positive about the year he spent in the UK and the fish and chips there. When you opened up the package it looked like a proper fried fish though. Excellent video 👍🏻

Lovely friendly lady in the chippy. I agree with the guy shouting from the window, those fish & chips did look good. The batter looked a bit hard though I prefer a softer batter myself. Two choices of curry sauces you don’t often see that. Top vlog as ever Lee😉👌

The fish and chips looked really good. Chips were golden, the batter sounded very crispy too. When I visited Wales I had fish and chips and they was amazing. 🙂

Fantastic!!, wasn't expecting 10 tbh as its a chippy but fair enough they deserve it once i saw the quality of the food. Watched a few James may pub videos this morning in advance of you heading over that way, good reviews too. Let's see what a Mansfield man thinks to the southern pub grub!! Best chips, and second best fish I`ve ever had. The best fish batter being in Elgin, Scotland. What a coincidence - I was there August 2022, so almost the same time as you. Although I now live overseas, I have known Prices since I was a kid. I used to get my "school lunch" there in the early 80´s - (Tina /the owner you met, was probably 1-2 years below me then). The chips still taste the same as 40 years ago. I had taken my mum - who now lives down south (West Sussex) but grew up there - to visit relatives, and she confirmed, they are still as good as they were when she was a kid. Decades of tradition, memories and consistent great taste... heritage has a home!! (btw.. my mate in Elgin also used to eat at prices, we were in school together. and even today, prices is a benchmark.)
So pleased you enjoyed your fish and chips in Holyhead, shame you didn’t let me know I’d have met you there we live in Bangor, you charged your car in sports direct yesterday!

Hi Lee… 9/10 for me food and price brilliant, the dropped point was for the plastic bag. Nothing to do with saving the earth simply the hot food causes condensation and by the time you get home the paper wrapping is falling apart. Indian takeaway’s always are in a paper carrier bag, Chinese is in carton’s so no problem. My local kebab shop changed to paper with great logo when I mentioned it to them. People underestimate Wales her indoors and I have always had great memories and it’s a lot closer than Scotland. Come on Lee a “rough guide” please the AV8 gave me an excuse for a weekend away.
Hi Lee! Great looking fish and chips, especially the latter with some colour to them. And that crispy battered whale I think. Much better wrapped in paper anyway. Something about the difference in taste. See the sun is out, I think Wales is great for weather. When I go it’s always sunshine but go back to where I live and the clouds appear. Take care 😘👍🏻

I grew up in Holyhead but moved to London for work some 35 years ago. Still go back to visit family from time to time, each time we have fish and chips as part of our visit. Holyhead still does the best fish and chips in the UK from my experience. The Price Family (the original owner's) lived on the street I grew up on. I can almost taste the chips watching the video 👍

Lovely lady in the chippy, all looks great, and tremendous value for money, I thought the batter was going to be too thick but obviously not.
Fish and chips looked lovely and a bit cheaper than they are where I live. Nice to see they didn't use those awful polystyrene trays most use nowadays, and just used paper, though a wooden chip fork would be better than the plastic one. All in all, a perfectly lovely meal from lovely little chippy, I don't know of any other chippys that have been around this long and in the same shop, but maybe there are, I don't know. Enjoyed the video.

10/10 - those looked fantastic. Welsh fish and chips always taste better in my opinion. Just in case you pass through, Peters Plaice in St Davids is excellent - I think I might have recommended it before. St Davids is also notable for being the smallest city in the UK.
I'll second that.Peters place in St.Davids is excellent ( I'm an old South Pembrokeshire lad) But Feccis in Tenby is my number one..

Lovely fish and chips there mate. And they came wrapped in paper too rather than boxes or polystyrene trays. Great portion too. I love the Welsh people. They’re so friendly. Been there quite a few times. Another 10/10 for me mate👌👍

A nice big feed of fresh cooked fish and chips at a decent price. I thought the batter looked a tad dry. Nice service, nice sauce and peas. But overall very good. 9 from me. Enjoy Wales, driven around there several times on visits from OZ. 'There will be a welcome in the hillside.'

Omg they look amazing... I live in rhyl in north wales and must admit i might just have to drive up to holyhead to try those.
It’s me again, when ever I fancy a fish and chips I always go there as everything is cooked to order. They use to have three curry sauce’s the one that they don’t seems to stop selling was a Irish curry sauce. And if the weather is good I’ll go to eat it on the sea front. The quality of the food is always outstanding 😋😋😋😋😋😘. I live a few miles out of Holyhead so it would get a bit cold by the time I got it home. There’s another chippy just round the corner from we’re you ate it, and it’s called chippy chippy and that’s suppose to be good as well

I had fish & chips from that shop about 15 yrs ago, they were bang on then,looks the same now!,i would give it 9/10 on looks, i prefer a thinner irregular batter myself but the standard of the fish itself,chips and peas all 10.
Lee it'll be pronounced Keltic designs! I'm frae Scotland and i'd pronounce it like the football club Celtic but when i got my car tuned by Celtic tuning and pronounced it like the football club my mate said Keltic tuning! if that leaves you confused so am i 🙂 car went like sh&t off a shovel tho🙂

If I'm on a day out coastal , fish and chips is my go to meal and Tribells in Llandudno is every bit as good if not better than these ( but I'd need a taste test to confirm this 😁)

Before you said anything, I could tell those chips (fries) were fantastic. Pretty much every other place you get fish and chips from, the chips are cut too big and they're never cooked properly, always a little under cooked for the way I would like them. These looked perfect. My favorite fries here in the states are from Five Guys. I know you don't care for the burger but you know, their fries are as good as they get. I always order them a well done, it's the only way to eat them. Great review, I am looking for to the next one with the Tesla charger.

Great chips and the fish (Cod?) lovely and white. Not sure about smooth batter though, like it a bit darker and crumbly, bubbly, I think they add beer/lager to the mixture to get that.
