All the towns and cities in Tuscany are beautiful, with so much history and character, Voltera seems full of life and at the same time is laid back and peaceful!

Personally speaking I think Tuscany (and Umbria as well) is one of the best place where to live.

I particularly love the start of music at the Baptistry and then the switch to solemn, almost medieval liturgical type music inside... the echoes & the music enhance the experience! Then I notice it more later on. It's a much different experience with my Airpod Pros than on the TV! Lots of sound that I couldn't hear without the headphones.
Is the music you or was it playing inside the churches? Or a bit of both perhaps?

The trouble with Volterra is you really need a car to visit.
No direct train.
You need to take two different bus runs to get there.
Otherwise it's amazing.

I've been to this town once. That was in 1974 and I was nine years old. I only remember dark and narrow alleys. This is interesting.

A Miss Marple film in the cinema in Italian without understanding anymore than the obvious and a restaurant visit that the group of people I was in with my mother left the restaurant without paying for letting us wait for too long, I imagine. Apart from that, streets that were so narrow that the cars almost scratched along the Walls.

@@ProWalks The old psychiatric hospital, but it’s tricky to get to outside of an organised tour (illegal too!)… so not a real miss. Also, not yet a real miss is the Roman amphitheatre (like the Coliseum) they’re excavating a little outside the walls near the town cemetery. You can see some of the work-in-progress, but would need to have connections to arrange a visit. I haven’t managed to visit either place yet… your tour was excellent!

In Volterry, in Tuscany, to boot! Last week we were in DECEMBER, in Sorrento, enjoying the Christmas lights and dark alleys. Oh well. When the vlogger has a time machine, he can travel back and forth. Even to the great Wall of China, to meet Kublai Khan 'Hiz-self'
Yeah, it's hard to get the videos posted up right afterwards unfortunately. It takes me a while to get to them all. I filmed a walk of Naples last weekend and I'll be posting up that next....then I'll be taking the time machine back to July. :)
