I feel like searching the part number written on the defective part is one of the first things to do. Looking forward to the comments from the usual people who normally say "bloody customers butting in and making it hard to work" despite them this time doing something that may have helped hugely. Wouldn't be suprised if they end up managing to order it that they'll give fitting it themselves a go now.
Poor dude on tech support trying to decipher Del's description of the layout of that switch...bulked up the old hourly rate tho 🙂
Thats one of the bug bears of equipment that is only a few years old eventually no spares will be available and its a complete install of a new system, even from the same manufacturer.
Didn’t they say this unit hasn’t been made since 2009?
Just bring up the wiring diagram if you are unsure del. Bring up the service manual for that product and it will help you no ends. It’s basic electrical component diagnostics - don’t over complicate things, believe in your own ability 👍
just cut out more plaster board and put up new plater board
Why not just check if you had a supply at the fan
because that's how he does fault finding, just immediately calls someone
Sweetie on the phone ❤
Phoning a electrician for them to phone someone and ask how to do to job 😅
Just fit a new fan. That thing is years old. Its not rocket science. A new fan costs nothing compared to the time you wasted
“Oh god you’re asking me” if you can help pls refer someone else that can.
Del, why waste time on this job just replace the fan and be done with it. Don’t over think it with the boost switch in the kitchen…
Do you know how to fault find? Surely you don’t need to ring technical support all the time😂
Very unwelcome comment.
@@alanlambert9123 He's right though.
Keep ur comments to yourself not needed
Sometimes you need technical support.
@@williambrown1073 if you have voltage to the fan then the fans broke if you don’t find out why it’s not hard cmon
Sorry I find this very embarrassing from an experience electrician.
