I’m so glad I saw that you posted this. I just watched your last chicken video. I love working with worsted yarn so I will try one of these. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!! Yes, I have many friend followers asking me if they could use medium weight yarn instead of chunky yarn, so I decided to work on a pattern for chickens using medium yarn!
I received a pattern for a crochet chicken from my twin, and, while it was a great pattern, my chickens kept ending up strangely squat! Your instructions were impeccable, and you have such a pleasant voice when instructing! Thank you so much for such a great video and your effort! 😊
Thank you so much for making such an easy video to follow! I’m new to crochet and have a hard time following written instructions or videos that don’t go far into detail. I appreciate you and this video!! ❤
Thank you so very much for the easy to follow tutorial. I followed step by step and my chicken came out perfectly. I am now working on the larger version with the increases you mentioned for the bigger chicken!
Can I just say this is hands down the best tutorial ever!! As a beginner who has only ever done a chunky blanket this was so wonderful! I've always been really bad at reading patterns so this was so nice. And THANK YOU for showing each step and explaining it slowly. So many tutorial videos talk way too fast and skip steps. Thank you so much!! Keep it up. ❤
I had some of you asking me if you could make them with medium weight yarn instead of chunky yarn, and then I decided to make a tutorial 🥰🥰🥰 I'm so glad you like it, thank you
Thank you! I'm currently working on the written pattern! You basically have to increase the rounds on your base by adding 1 extra SC before the increase (2SC, Inc and then in the next round 3Sc, Inc and so on) and then you also have to increase the number of "vertical rounds" to make the chicken taller. Then start decreasing the opening ( 3SC, Dec, 2Sc,Dec on the next round and so on) until you close the opening and the sides are not wider than the base. I hope that helps.
Hello! I still don't have the written pattern for chickens made with medium #4 yarn, I only have the written pattern for chickens made with chunky yarn
@StelarCrafts i was making more than one of your chickens, and since I'm a beginner, i kept going back and forth, so i thought doing time stamps would make it easier on me! 🤣 Thank you for the free pattern and tutorials! They are super, super helpful, and i love my new chickens! 🐔 ty! 💗

what brand yarn is your purple heart pillow?
It's by Yarnspirations Bernat Velvet in the colour Gray Orchid

Is the beginning just a magic circle?
It can be a magic ring with 8 sc inside or chain 2 with 8 sc in the second chain from the hook

Thank you 🥰
Mine looks a bit silly, but I like it. I don't have any safety eyes, so I embroidered them. It gives it character.
It looks nice with embroidered eyes too! In my chunky chicken tutorial I do that instead of safety eyes
Do you have a written pattern? ❤
Just for the chicken made with bulky #6 yarn! I'm still working on the written pattern for medium #4 yarn
Oh ok thank you though! ❤
