When I was a little kid, back in the 70's, I would sit downstairs in my grandmother's giant black, cushy rocker, and pretend it was my own captain's chair. From it I would command missions from the USS Explorer, while I watched the classic Star Trek on television, over and over. Watching these videos, focusing on this era of starships, makes me incredibly nostalgic. I absolutely love it. Thank you for making these! Absolutely Outstanding.
Smiling like the kid I was over 40 years ago when watching TOS or looking through the Franz Josef materials. LOVE your "slice of life" in the UFP vids, especially when they tie in with a specific episode bringing more background in that FITS (unlike so much corporate Trek the last several years). Great stuff!
@@johnmeade-n2s Thanks! I think I got much of the Franz Joseph (Star Fleet Technical Manual) Federation ships covered at this point. Now to figure out what to do next… 😀🖖
@@bobfischer Keep up with the TOS/Franz Joseph stuff please! You're doing great stuff! Maybe a few vids that show the inside of the personnel transport containers attached to the Ptolemy class ships? Interesting, but no, never heard of that book. But extrapolating from “The Journey to Bable’” looks like that author and myself intersected on a few points… 😃🖖
@@KManXPressTheU Not necessarily. In Season 1, “Tomorrow is Yesterday” Kirk tells the captured pilot regarding the Enterprise there are “Only twelve like it in the fleet." “Journey to Babble” happens later, with the “Acceptance Ceremony” I animated occurring shortly after. In the meantime, some Constitution class ships are destroyed, some are built. There is no real time frame given for much of these events. So it is possible at that moment during the Ceremony, there might have been exactly twelve Constitutions in service. So little specifics are given in TOS (and that is all the canon I am using) that it is impossible to really know how many Constitutions are in service at this particular vaguely timed moment in Federation history. This Coridan animation all made up anyway of course, just extrapolated from TOS. And much of TOS was haphazardly put together in terms of continuity and consistency. Nicely Done! Much Thanks and Appreciation for bringing alive the ships that I grew up knowing were Starfleet Ship! Awesome!

So cool! Also, I really loved how they included Coridan in Enterprise. I wish that series had handled everything as subtly.
