Nice reaction again. This was two years after the one you saw last time - that was at Sonisphere Festival in 2014, this time they were at Download Festival in 2016. They were better known this time. At Download in 2016 it rained hard all weekend and BABYMETAL's set was delayed for 40 minutes while water was swept off the stage (there is a photo of their producer sweeping the stage to try to make it safe for them to do all their choreo) and while the equipment had plastic covers put over it all. 'Karate' is about fighting on when life gets hard, when you are knocked down and crying and can't stand up. It is about helping each other up to battle on against and overcome the hardships. They used karate to illustrate this as it is a Japanese martial art, so it reflects their culture, but also because karate is all about constantly moving forward - and that also reflects BABYMETAL's own philosophies.
I have always considered them as angels in the metal world. Every BabyMetal song is positive. Your previous reaction song was about anti-bullying. This song is about encouraging people to help each other to overcome the hardships in life, or to overcome inner enemies such as fear, cowardice, depression, etc. Thanks for your great reaction.
Great reaction. Thank you for your service. BabyMetal is amazing. Im so proud of these young ladies for continuing to inspire people all over the world.
👍An awesome performance🔥🔥🔥. Slight correction, this was at Download, 2 years after the other live performance. Some of the future BABYMETAL requests link a Websight that was taken down. There are other sites that have the same performances😊. This was the East Kami band, currently they are supported by the West Kami band which are Americans. Their drummer is known as The Beast and is also an awesome drummer. Great reaction. 🦊 🖖❤
Great reaction! "Karate" at Download Festival was another milestone for them, although not as huge as Sonisphere. One coordinator of the festival dismissed them before, saying they´re just a Japanese fad and have no place at Download Festival. Well, they have a place at Download Festival, and a quite regular one since 2016 😉 Last time they visited Download Festival was last year. Life was hard to them, but they fought on and overcame hardships. That´s what "Karate" is about. Once again the Kami Band of the East supported them, in an almost identical lineup. This time, on the right side Takayoshi Ohmura was the "God of Guitar". He often used this pink glitter guitar. Did you notice BOH (Daisuke Bohte), "God of Bass", jump on Su-Metal´s command while he played? 😄
You may want to change the title of your video. This is Live at Download UK 2016. This is considered by some, myself included, to be the definitive version of Karate. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and a 👍 from me
Nice reaction to the incredible musical experience known as BabyMetal, one queen and two princesses backed by an incredible shred metal band. Since I’m a retired U.S. Navy LDO, I appreciate this reaction from a fellow Navy vet. I was on an aircraft carrier (USS AMERICA) in the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm, so my service was a bit later than yours. I only discovered BabyMetal on my first visit to Japan in 2023. At first, like many people experiencing them for the first time, I was confused, but I quickly got hooked by their magical mix of J-Pop and metal. Since then, I have seen them in concert four times, including at Fox Fest 2024 in Japan, and they were awesome each time. I even have a VIP ticket to see them in Amsterdam in May. I hope you will enjoy your journey down the BabyMetal foxhole as much as I have, and I look forward to your future BabyMetal reactions.
👍 👍 It has been a joy for me personally to watch your journey with these young ladies of high character. And congratulations to Suzuka Nakamoto (lead singer) on being voted MA Metal Awards Best Female Metal Singer for 2024. It has already been pointed out this performance was from 2016 at the Download Festival in the UK. Hope to see you again.

Last week I was relieved to finish my college entrance exams. We'll find out in March if I passed.
