- Why Mow when you can let a ROBOT mow for you! Are Robot Mowers good? Today we unbox and review the segway navimow H1500N-VF . Unlike other robot mowers the segway navimow does NOT require a perimeter wire installed in the yard.

Thanks for tuning in! I specialize in solving lawn problems and implementing strategies to fix lawn problems. Weather you have crabgrass that's not dying, too much thatch, lawn fungus, over watering problems or an ugly lawn there's not a lawn problem I can't solve. Please let this run for a while and do a couple of follow-up videos. I would really like to see how something like this holds up over the long term.
That’s the plan!
Really impressed with how in-depth this review is! Super useful, appreciate it!
Glad it was helpful!
I like watching your videos just so I can see those Orem area mountains.
Good call
Such a great review, feels so genuine and informative! 😊 Keep it up!
Thank you! Will do!
In 2002 I purchased a RoboMow and I still have it to this day. I haven't used it in a couple of seasons but it worked as advertised when I last did use it. Lots of draw backs to tech that's 20+ years old but still amazing anyway.
The major plus was that it was 500 bucks new.
Love it! they're super convenient.
Appreciate the review! I’m on the hunt for a more budget-friendly robot mower.
Thanks! Good luck!
This is certainly the future, and will evolve to accommodating thicker grasses and height requirements.
A local pest control company I buy restricted use chemicals through, just started doing fertilizer applications with a drone.
Wow 🤩 that’s pretty awesome
I agree completely with your comment on software. Doing it systematically is much more difficult than randomly running around until hitting a perimeter wire.
Yeah. The tech is pretty cool when you dig into it
The best robot mower I’ve seen yet great review price is up there but for what it does probably worth it .
they're fun machines. more to come.
Great review! 👏
Glad you liked it!
I just purchased mine from the Kickstarter. Hoping to get this month!
Rad! you'll love having the robot mow for you!
Great video! And great montains in the background.
Thank you very much!
Appreciate the review! 🙏 The price is a bit steep for me right now... I’ll probably wait and see.
Check out the I series. Great product by segway.
I’m still going to wait until my Honda rotary dies. So I may never get one, but watching your video makes me want one 👊👍
LOL death to the rotary! hahaha.
Great review Ginja! I've been interested in the Segway and it is is great to see it performs well. I think once they nail down the AI of mowing these are going to be solid. I'm testing one now that is pretty spotty.
Right on! Thanks for watching. I’m finding antenna placement is everything. I’m waiting on an extension cable now but ultimately I’ll be doing a roof top placement
Great job on this review! Do you have any suggestions for smart mowers that are a bit more wallet-friendly? Would love to know!

I always have time to mow.
This would be a perfect gift for someone who cannot mow such as the elderly or disabled.
agree!
Interesting world you live in, populated by you, the elderly, and the disabled. You might have missed a few out there, though, who are busy and don't always have time to mow.
@@ronaldbell7429 I live in a world with the overwhelming majority of able bodied people. If you don’t have time to maintain your house being able bodied you are lazy and have no right to be a home owner.
Taking off that plastic film is a good start to the video!
👊
Great video Ginja. Have you checked out the LUBA mower yet. If so, what advantages (or disadvantages) do you find obvious with it and the Navimow? I'm trying to figure out which one would be the best option for our lawn.
Video soon to come
I’m tired of my old push mower, and these smart mowers are getting so popular! 👀 I found one called ANTHBOT for $599 with auto mapping. Could you maybe review it? Would really help!
I did an initial unboxing. Video is up
Solid review! Though I gotta say, it’s a bit above my budget right now. 😅
Thanks! Hope you find what you're looking for
What Segway failed to share is that they have place a hard limit to the map range boundaries. If you buy a 1/4 model, you can’t map past that. My lot is 1/4 plus 200feet. I can’t map my full property because of the extra 200 feet. So I have to remap and cut corners so I won’t go over the 1/4 acres. I thought maybe map two separate zones, but nope! You can’t go over at all the 1/4 total. Just another way to force you to buy a more expensive robot.
I'll make my decision after your 1 year review ;)
good call.
Is a nice dog😎
Thanks!!!
First Aussie 😁. Ginja , the AI mower will be posting videos soon and Ginjas lawn Therapy will be no more . 😳
hahaha, love it.
eh add a coffee maker to the top of it and i might meh i dunno , its convenience is awesome , i look at it this way " MY EGO MOWER BATTERY " took a crap on me this year and I had to weigh in price vs reliability and yearly cost for a battery and made a final decision just to go gasoline and I purchased a Honda HRN mower . I just can not see mysel purchasing a 400 dollar battery every three years . So when I see the battery operated stuff from now ON i ALLWAYS take into consideration the price and cost of a battery going down after a 2 year run . So if I do anything battery again it has to show me a really really good warranty . Awesome Review Ginja love all your videos Thanks much
Thanks brother! always good to see your comments.
Its a bummer it does not go all the way to the edge. Hopefully they come up with improvements that lets it do so.
I'm sure down the road it'll be better.
I love your videos man, always so informative.
I have a question.
I have a small problem with black medic. I have treated it several weeks ago with 24d and tenacity. Nothing happened. I had some clover as well that resisted the treatment as well. I used the green nozzle on my flowzone. If that helps
Any tips would be appreciated.
I have a video on calibration. commonly comes down to making sure you're putting enough spray down evenly. for black medic I prefer to use t-zone
Welcome to the robotic future.
It feels so good. Not gonna lie
😁👍👍
Considering the Milwaukee M18 electric push mower is $1100 with batteries and charger, it’s not a crazy price comparison.
good call!
Hi, I have basically square lawn bordered on three sides with raised decking with skirting and a level granite patio. I think the Segway is great but don’t like the idea of the 15cm from the edges ! From your mention about the boundary you think I could reduce this.
Check out the new Segway model. Be worth the wait
Hi. Thanks for your reply ! Which model are you referring to, I can’t find anything online.
the dog is best
💯
What happens after the warranty expires? Can I replace the batteries myself when they wear out? I have ten year old Toro TimeCutter zero turn that's still working. Will this robot mower last more than 3 years? Thanks and great content as always!
great question on the battery. I didn't think about that. as for longevity. we will see. i'm fairly optimistic given the fact that these machines are 20 to 30 lbs and don't see a ton of resistence daily. but time will tell.
Pretty cool 😎. How long did it take to cover your lawn? Any Battery stops. R/R was most impressed
Battery has been great. It runs for about 60 minutes no stops. I’ve ran it 90 min no stops as well
@@pestandlawnginja thanks I'll maybe I'll stick with 'ol stake with a rope tied to a running power mower
😆 🤣
what are your thoughts vs the luba? A friend is getting the Luba so I'm excited to see that in person. I have a 5500 sqft lawn separated by a gate so deciding if one would work for us.
I posted a video on the luba this week.
$1425 is cheaper than many of the high end cylinder mowers
Very true
What was the price please, it got left out. Kiwi
Prices are subject to change. Link is in the description of the video
Seriously lawn ginja, now you have a robot slaying the lawn for ya , good god all mighty 🤖😱🤔
🤣👍👍
Robotic mowers need to be made to mow at taller heights for me to switch. 2.5 inches minimum.
The Luba mows at 2.8”. Dropped a video last week about it
I've always been worried that these would make my lawn look like it had been mowed by Ray Charles. 😎 Would love to see a follow-up video in a month or two.
LOL totally agreen. now that they do mow patterns its great. I will be doing a followup.
Seems that technology will only work best for perfect level areas with borders.
actually has a pretty great threshold for hills. i believe this on does greater than 27 degrees which is pretty steep.
Does this do an edging run? How close to the edge does it get?
it does. as for how close to the edge does it get. that all depends on how you train it. as of right now you're at the mercy of the base station satellite placement and line of site of the mower to the base station and satellite line of site. better the placement and connection the better it runs. Hope that helps.
What’s up with your neighbor putting up a privacy fence next to your picket fence?
See that Segway I just did? 😅
🤣🤣🤣🤣 well…. I’m sure you know
It's wheels will leave a permanent mark on your lawn if it's not going around randomly. Been there, done that. Get yourself a random rolling robot.
sooo true
Can it take it self from front to back yard on its own?
As long as I program it and the fence is open it will. The major issue is the antenna placement. Buying an extension cable would help a ton considering the house is super close to the fence and also the amount of trees
Preordered mine! As long as it doesn't end up at the bottom of my pool😂
LOL
How does it do with slopes?
fairly well. I think its rated up to 20 degrees. which is suprisingly steep. I'm still testing slopes to see what it'll actually do vs whats on the box but so far its been pretty true to the marketing.
Yet another robot mower not designed for people that need to cut their grass high, like me, who grows turf type tall fescue. TTTF likes being at 4", or roughly 100mm. I have no idea why almost none of these mowers account for grasses that need to be cut higher. Oh well.
It’s true. Not sure why
How much square footage can it cover on one charge?
depends on the model you purchase. They go from 8500 sq ft. to 32,000 sq ft.
Does this offer an Alternate Direction with every-other mow?
As far as I can tell yes. But I don’t have a definite answer.
This definitely seems like a paid promotion
sure was, disclosed and all. it was a full unboxing.
$50 per mow? That’s expensive even here in NY. Just like other wireless tech sweeping the market. It’s not yet ready for prime time.
No built in weed edge trimmer. From a technology standpoint that’s an easy fix.
2 year battery warranty? That means your expecting to replace the batteries at least every two years.
And watch the battery be $1500 since the device is $2000
I like that you mentioned the battery. I didn't give that much thought.
my feeling is if you're using these daily and the battery is getting decent use 2 years no issues. my batteries from toro and others have lasted 4 years plus no issues since I use them regularly. I know that's not the case with everyone. Thanks for the comment. Have a great day.
What was the price?
links in the description of the video. the prices are 20%-30% off right now.
Your lawn is not the best for testing, don't get me wrong but put in some slopes and you will see that it have a problem with the way it is turning to get in to the new line. This revers motion makes it not good for slopes. Have the biggest model and a complex lawn and it get stuck almost every time because of this. But otherwise it was easy to set up and it cuts nice 👍
You’ll like the video I did yesterday
Where can you buy this?
link is in the description of the video.
Price???
link to the price is in the description of the video. I didn't mention price since its on super sale right now for pre sales.
First non robot 🤣🤣👍💚🦸
🤣🤣🤣
@@pestandlawnginja I believe it comes with a extension handle if you feel like standing on it and miss mowing once in a while. I mean it is a Segway right 🤣and the price is reasonable compared to others out there.
luba mammotion is way better. 4x4 and 2 blades
It’s a good product
First
💯😁👍👍
mowing for 7 months!? LOL how about 3 months in Seattle LOL
3 months? that's not much at all.
Technology isn't there. This is assuming your lawn is of carpet quality and needs a lot of advanced engineering still. Overpriced junk.
I’ll be testing that out as well
The white 1995 Toyota Camry is more reliable than this mower 😮
LOL . good eye! it's a 97
$50 x 12 months = $600
🤔
$50 x 12 x 2 = $1,200
🤔
Nowhere near $1,750 not including tax. Seems like an attempt to sell a product.
you forgot there's 4 weeks in a month mr vince. Hope you have a great day. if you buy or don't buy i make zero dollars. Hope that helps.
$50 x 52 weeks = $2600
Awful with the bad background music.
Robot mowers are for the suckers born every minute.
thanks for the feedback. don't knock it until you try it. thousands and thousands of happy people that have freed up there time.
Furst
jes, jes you were
