I wish I have 30 books on my TBR, I have 108 and I can't wat to at least cut it in half. I'm already buying less and reading what I have so hopefully numbers will go down.
My physical tbr I think only has one or two books on it... that are halfway across the world....(I'm studying abroad currently and the books are at home!) But my kindle tbr.... different story there! I completely get what you mean about buying new releases that get bumped to the top of my tbr- I will literally spend 5 minutes in the grocery aisle debating whether it's worth paying 1£ extra to get a slightly nicer product that I want, and yet as soon as I see that there's a new book from one of my favourite authors coming out my money just seems to.. jump out of my wallet... whoops ;) Loved the video as always and looking forward to the next one!
All my TBR are library books, and I have the bad habit to reserve all the ones I want to read all at once and then they all come in and I’m rushing to read them before they’re due back 😅 Right now I have 19 library books to power through!
My physical TBR (at the start of April) is 161 books but I I’ve bought some more since I last counted though I think I’ve read more than I’ve bought so it’s slowly going down. I started 2024 with 190 so I’m getting there. One of my resolutions was to shrink my TBR so I’m doing well

You are not alone in reading the newest book first, the excitement pulls you in. My TBR (physical) is insane.. and I’ve been trying to read more from the back burners …great books I got around to reading recently. Throne In the Dark by A. K. Caggiano (three book series .. devoured it) . Six of crows + crooked kingdom by L. Bardugo. And a middle grade book called the False Prince .. can’t remember,bee author off the top of my head.. so good. Have you ever read the Illuminae files .. Illuminae is book 1? And I stand by my Defy the Stars by Claudia Gray recommendation. If you are ever in a sci fi mood.. those two books were easy to sink into.
I have tons and tons of books on my want to read list on Libby. I always want to read the new hyped up books first but I'm working on reading older ones
I'm still in a nomadic phase of life, so my physical TBR is in storage. I've been buying books one at a time and reading them immediately, which feels SO good!! I feel lucky lol
I think I have over 100+ books in my tbr shelves and I know there are some that dates back over 10+ years since I purchased them... I know, it's horrible! 🫣
