ATIKA Phoenix Outdoor Hiking Closed Toe Lightweight Sandal.
I ordered 10 different brands from Amazon and compared the strength and traction from the bottom of them. These won and performed beautifully on the trail. Keep in mind you can detatch the angle strap and wear them like a slipper.

@@HumanontheLoose Thanks Naomi!
Cheers to your crazy personality! A happy Naomi is a good thing. 0:38 Neck Tech? I want!!
5:12 super cool 😎 love that!
Dreamy singletrack and music, with an Aussie aboriginal beat thrown in there going through the forest was the cat's ass!
I'm going to try talking laying on my back. hahaha
16:20 very nice cutthroat 🐳 and you got it on cam!
Oh, the bee was singing 'I'm a King Bee' rendition by Frank Marino and Mohagany Rush.🤘
Scenery was breathtaking as always, that little lake was made for skinny dipping.
A great episode dudette!
Your comment is reading extra funny now considering what I titled the next video.
Wonderful feedback especially using the term “was the cat’s ass!” 🤣🤣
Laughed at the granite comment, so true!
I love that you don’t stick to a plan 100 percent. Going with the flow and just going places that sound interesting make the journey so much more fun.
Cheers to THAT!! 👊
There cairns Naomi. At least over here they are. There's hundreds of them here. Usually at top of mountains. And yes there dismantling here too. Another great vid.
Yes..I’ve seen them at the top of mountains at which point they turn into pieces of art vs directional comforts. I love seeing everyone’s choices!
That was a good day. 😊
Loved it! Thank you!❤
He loved it!! 👏
WOW!!
Thank you for taking us there!
❤ Wow, your music selections we’re spot on. Wow, the mountain lake was picture perfect. Wow, time travel interval and internal dialog covering a wide range of human emotions, priceless. 😊 what a joy you are. Thank you ever so much for taking us along. Hike the trails and spin your your wheels Miss Stock! ❤
It’s comments like yours which motivate me to keep my channel going! Thank you for taking the time to post!
Is it wrong that i laughed when the bee chased you hehe 🙂
Another great vid Naomi - amazing place 🙂
LOVE to bring laughter to your day!!
@@HumanontheLoose 🥰
I feel so much better about missing that trail last year in a snow storm. I agree, should be a sign.
Thank you for validating that part of my video! 🤣👊
Love how Observant you are Love your Videos :)
Why thank you...umm...is that your dog's name or do you love climbing? Wishing you a 2023 year filled with wheeee's!!!
@@HumanontheLoose my dogs Names are Sage and Maya.. Mountain Goat user Name is because I simply love the mountains and and Mountain Biking. haven't been doing it as much as I used to though.. Thank you I wish you the Same :)
Great episode. Took a bikepacking trip to VT a few weeks ago and it deviated GREATLY from the plan, rolled with it and had a fun weekend!
Thank you!! Niiice! You must’ve cut the gorgeous fall colors!
@@HumanontheLoose Fantastic! Day 2 featured so much riding along a few rivers. Got to use my water filter a few times (which was so satisfying).
You should have some signs made with direction arrows and signed from Human on the Loose. Stay Safe lady !! xx
Hmmm…great idea! Not surprised coming from you! 🦋
Loving the videos! So much fun! Lol
YAY! 👏 Thrilled to hear!
I did that hike about 5 years ago, it was beautiful except the creek crossing was a raging torrent and I thought I was gonna get swept away to my death. 😂 Great to see it again.
Wow… it’s hard to imagine it that way considering how shallow and gentle it was.
Early vs late summer I’m sure. All that rock and debris was underwater. One slip and off to the lower falls you go to get dashed upon the rocks. 😬😀
TY
Thank you for another great video 👍
Thank you for taking the time to share kindness!!
Wow @15:10, what an award! So much enjoying this!
Indeed!! After watching the animated trail video I wish I would’ve seen the other lake as I would’ve gone that extra bit to view it as it appears quite spectacular up on that ledge.
Idaho looks like a wonderful place to be!
That was a Bald Faced Hornet that took interest in you around 7:30 :)
Ahhh. Thanks for the info I Googled it and read about them - quite fascinating!
OK loose-human.... This is how I'm working your vids now.... Rather than going from all old-to-new vids.... Im going to alternate between old and new working from each end (old/new) inwards (I feel like I'm missing out otherwise) ...its a new viewing strategy I'm trying. I've no idea where that will leave me... But I'm going for it..... Expect more half-arsed random comments shortly.... Warmest rgrds... Blighty🇬🇧
Hahaha! You are too funny!! So how’s that working out for you? I welcome all half assed comments!
Miss naomi how the video inspires us to be the best of humans 🌞🕊️
You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
When the road looks rough ahead
And you're miles and miles
From your nice warm bed
You just remember what your old pal said
Boy, you've got a friend in me
Yeah, you've got a friend in me

You are my favorite.

We are addicted to your videos. What kind of bike do you have my husband and I both want to know.
I have inspired an addiction!! Cool! Season One I rode a Salsa Cutthroat Apex 1 gravel bike. Season Two (current) is a 2020 Jamis Portal full suspension mountain bike.
@@HumanontheLoose We have sturdy, not overly expensive mountain bikes we have had for probably 20 years. We do not ride IN the mountains on single track, but we do like the Cascades to Palouse trail over Snoqualmie Pass. Perhaps a gravel bike would be good. But just with that much of an uphill grade I get major thigh burn and can never get above about 5 miles per hour. BUT the coast down is awesome and well worth the effort of the climb up, even though people are of course passing me like I'm standing still. Is the Salsa Cutthroat bike obviously more oomph or obviously more effortless riding OR (the most obvious) YOU are in much better bike riding shape than I, although for 72 and husband 75, we are in pretty darn good shape.
@@EJS1970 do you know how much your bike weighs? Both of my bikes were carbon (super light) and they were also tubeless which means I didn’t have the weight of a rubber tube inside the tires. If you’re not going on mountain bike trails I would keep my eye open for a used gravel bike but you’ll most likely want to swap out the drop bars which is the normal style for gravel bikes and put on straight bars. If I was doing your style riding I would not want a mountain bike. I want to bike as long as possible so the lighter the bike set up the easier it will be because one day the easy will start to get harder and there’s nothing I can do about it besides getting an electric. May I recommend popping in a few different bike shops and telling them you’re looking for…a gravel bike style set up but not necessarily an authentic gravel bike. They may have a frame that works for your height and can swap out tires handlebars…etc. my mom is 81 and she takes her road bike on mountain bike trails. Haha! But she goes super slow but she still does it! It’s all subjective!
We have kairns here in the U.K., alot of them in the lake district near the tops of mountains... Especially good in the snow when you can't even see the path. Needle neighbourhood indeed 😂
I never thought about it being useful in the snow and makes perfect sense. Also, knowing someone took the time to carefully stack rocks to withstand wind and help a stranger is a beautiful meaning in itself.
So Saturday is now the new Naomi-day! No worries, as I can guess you're busy with a new job (or jobs!). Super stuff, as usual, tho I hyperventilated when you left your bike to take on that "trail". I kept thinking "she's gonna lose the pathway back and never find her bike again!" Like a Stephen King horror story playing out in my mind. You're brave as f**k! XOXO
You are simply wonderful!! Interesting thought you had. While watching back the footage I was a bit surprised I didn’t hide my bike more.
How is the knee holding up after all that up and down to the waterfall?
Great - oddly.
Ps. Get yourself a Rolhoff internal gear hub..........3000 or 4000 mile oil changes..... No scrubbing oil off gears...... $1000 like, but what else you gonna do....
Very kwel

Cairns for route marking as old as human travel. Random placement of rocks as as art of high traffic, well marked trail, is another thing. Hopefully others will be build on your mark. I have to laugh about last days feasting on overpacked food. Nope, never done that ;)😅
That would be cool if somebody took a picture showing my rocks have now become the base of a beautiful sculpture of rocks but most likely it was destroyed.
Haha! Yes a very unique situation of having extra food!
@@HumanontheLoose My local National Forest is talking about bringing back cairns on historic system trails than are lightly used and see little maintenance. some of the ones from 1920-1940 are small monuments that endure a 80-100 years later. The elk and cows make short work of the fiberglass Carsonite posts in one or two seasons.
with reference to Cairns, mounds of stone, to mark the path to market, the bigger the lanscape, the bigger the cairns
i think a lot of large mounds are route markers, and they get mistaken for robbed out burial mounds
there's a hidden mound near me, clearly it marks the route west, from east
our so called "hadrian's wall" which is a few miles from me, wasn't built by the romans, it was built by local builders, skilled local labour, the british had everything long long time before the catholics showed up, we had languages, old english, gailic, Welsh, old-Welsh, irish and scottish languages, and more besides, we had education, roads, transport, industry, shipping, trade, laws, and at least 80 queens/kings = a full blown Monarchy

Wonderful comment! I love random information like that!
👊💪👌♥️😘
I love your vidios but there is no chance in hell I would climb that mountain to see that waterfall
🤣🤣👊
It is beginning to look like trail cycling is a better way to go than road cycling. Far less traffic and pollution and noise on the trails.
Ok.
14 minutes after you posted this today I was the third human to make a comment and the first human to comment the second time about ants.
But it disappeared.
I dont see it.......
I don’t see it either in the backend software and it’s not being held by UA-cam in my unpublished tab. I have noticed this with other comments that come through on my end but don’t appear publicly although yours aren’t even appearing on my end. It’s quite frustrating!
@@HumanontheLoose bummer.....it was a good one.....oh well maybe next time.

haha
or maybe that bee mistook you for food, thought you were a fragrant bush, do you smell of perfume? shampoo? soap? organic deoderant?
Only wearing my natural sweetness. 🤣😜
Sweetie, you are not on the people trail. You are on the mountain goat trail. And better still you are going to have to go back down that trail. Yikes !
Ohhhh!! Riiiiight!! Mountain goats!
Very beautiful places you go.thanks for your Videos happy new years
