      I can confirm his "devilishly clever" attribute - a master craftsman and devious mind.
      I have seen the production line for this puzzle but I don't have one of my own. Was truly an honour Brian and Sue.
      I've been a customer of theirs for over 20 years and reconnected with them just recently (3 weeks ago?).

    1. The distinct transition of color on top and bottom, like two VERY well fitted pieces of wood looking like one.

It really shows how much time, effort, care, and thought you put into your videos and for the entertainment of the puzzles. I love writing out backstories. My ex-husband was playing DC Universe Online and wanted me to create a backstory for his character. I did and he was so excited about it that he posted it on a few of the forums and received a lot of positive response from it. Giving a character, or an object, a backstory really brings it to life :) Love the videos, love your enthusiasm, and love the entertainment! Thank you for bringing awesome content!

    If he gave you the tools to disassemble the top part of the well, I would suggest utilizing them for either crafting or using the individual pieces as a tool. They are all shaped slightly different which leads me to believe you should reinsert them into where they came from. Obviously in a different orientation. • @stephenstarzyk3172

    Just watched this, so frustrating when you can’t figure it out! My thought is to take the two brass sides that were originally holding up the silver bar, flip them upside down and stick them back down into the square holes on the sides. Seems like the other end is smaller and could slide down in there. I’m guessing the top part that originally had the string in it will come into play too, that seems like such a unique shape for it not to be needed for anything. Also, the string was very short, which is weird. Does the string fit in the little holes on the sides? Can you use the string to dangle in a hole, or tie it around one of the other pieces somehow? (It’s hard to see how long it is).
    Hope these ideas help, can’t wait to see the solve!

  • @sosei9386

    I'm curious: did you try to use the magnet on the bottom of the brass well to see if it could interact with the magnet on the bottom side of the wooden block? could be the magnet built into the block was a dual-purpose one.

    • @AntonioThompsoniAmSam
      @AntonioThompsoniAmSam 2 роки тому +2

      I was thinking the same thing. Assuming the magnet is in fact as strong as he implied, I was thinking it may potentially have something to do with the force of the magnetic repulsion. For example: What if the repulsion causes the metal piece inside of the well to move just enough to slide the string through so that he might be able to pull the piece out?

    I wonder if the notch in the inside bottom reveals a hole for the long rod, and the magnet is used with the brass well as a dial to rotate the metal disc out of the way?

      put wrench with small round end in the hole in the brass piece. put it into the well so that the wrench goes into the slot at the bottom. Now turn.

  • @dumbstupid5065
    @dumbstupid5065 2 роки тому +3

    I feel like it must have something to do with the four spikes/pins on the top of the box. I don't see what else it could be. Maybe you have to build a tool to move/remove one or more of them. Is there even the tiniest of notch the string would catch on? Or maybe it's build a tool to do more inside? Idk... I just keep coming back to the four spikes/pins. Look forward to finding out how you solved it.
