The old towing mirrors I was using were Milenco, I had no real problems with them, they did blow in a few times with large roadtrains. The Nextgens are better in respect that they give you a curved glass at the bottom for blind spots and they do not vibrate like the Milencos, so the view is clearer. They are a fit and forget solution and I think they look smart on the Ranger... When unhitched you can simply retract them so that's much easier and quicker. I do find the repeater indicator in the mirror to be poorly located on the nextgen to the point it actually affects vision through the side window at night by dazzling which is not great, but that would be my only issue with them. I think the cost is probably worthwhile if you do a lot of towing, our last trip was 8400km in 3 weeks...
Retracted they are slightly wider than standard , they sit 351mm from the base plate and extend to 531mm.... they are 7.5cm closer in than the old Clearviews
Excellent video. I fitted mine with absolutely no problems. Everything was as demonstrated. I’m finally legal.
So what is the result. - are they significantly better than the towing mirrors you previously used? Worth the extra $$$

How much extra width does that add to the car.
