Gentlemen, you are wonderful! You helped me with so many physical issues and I can't thank you enough. You're presentations are informative and understandable.
So glad for this topic, I’ve been having neck issues for several days now. I’ve tried so many different pillows and nothing has worked. Thanks Bob & Brad for video! 🙏🏾🙌🏾
These guys helped me get through a bad whiplash injury with their videos.Another guy had good exercises as well. They sure know what they are talking about!😃💖👍
The problem we have with having so many towels and pillows under the head are that once you move, all arrangements are falling apart and you have to be wakened to re-arrange it. It is like fighting a war every night. Wearing a CPAP mask, it is a war every night. Can you do a video on good CPAP mask pillow?
I think so but I try to avoid eating any food that causes acid reflux (or skip dinner entirely) before lying flat. Anyway, IMO their suggestion about using a rolled up towel is a great tip!
Perfect explanation. Definitely my bad habit of sleep. But I noticed that the mattress you guys are using make a significant difference in the body position from the bottom neck. How I know I get the right mattress?. Having neck pain for almost two years. And I’m exhausted with this pain…
On your side, is it okay on your shoulder if you aren’t sleeping completely horizontal? Sometimes I wake up rolled halfway onto my stomach or back while sleeping on my side. To add to the conversation, an old video made me realize that my bed was simply too hard, and that was causing my shoulder pain. I’m very petite/thin, so my semi-firm mattress was really uncomfortable. I switched to a softer mattress that responded well to my weight and let me sink into it a little while being supportive, and that made all the difference. Thanks for all your help Bob and Brad!
A good bed does indeed help a lot, but if you travel, you get what they have...so I have found using a Thermarest mattress on the bed helps a lot, as does bringing your own pillow.
My favorite bit of the video: Brad: "This one might be a little too thick for Bob, let's put it in there." Bob: "Little bit too thick." Brad: "You're gonna know if it's the right thickness cause it's gonna feel really good." Bob: "You should acclimate to it." "
I have very broad shoulders and because of my recent neck pain, I just can’t sleep on my stomach anymore but I’m having a hard time with finding a comfortable position now…starting to think I’m needing a new mattress in general
Since diagnosis with cervical spondylitis I got a soft collar of Amazon and I sleep with it any thing to worry about there? I also put it on throughout the day if I notice fatigue. I need to get a reg excise routine but life is crazy with sick kiddo
What do you recommend when you can't sleep flat on your back because of severe reflux? I do sleep with a wedge under my head and upper back, with 2 additional pillows.
I have to sleep on my side propped up and I have cervical neck issues is there anything I can do please help and I’m doing the stretches and haven’t found any improvement yet also when I sit should I have a rest on the back of my head so I’m not holding it up? Sorry for all the questions thank you I have problems with c6 and 7 including hand numb and weakness 🙏🙏🙏
I cannot sleep with bulky pillows. I sometimes roll around in my sleep and I need something that I can just squish around under my neck for support. I took the pillowcase and put two sheets in the pillowcase. and it is just enough support for my neck.
I have observed that I see some dreams just like catching fish or climbing a tree to pluck some fruits and suddenly give a jerk to my body in sleep and injure my neck. I suddenly wake up and realise that I have injured my neck and start feeling the pain and get sure that the coming week is going to be very painful for me. Is there any solution for that.... please advise
Wish I could sleep on my back. I can’t breath it’s like if I’m holding my breath and I wake up gasping for air. I got tested for sleep apnea they said I didn’t have it. 😣
Try a tempurpedic pillow. Pretty firm so your head doesn’t sink during the night like a down or foam filled pillow. Also the Temperpedic pillow is fairly thick which might get your head at a better level. FYI: must have tried 2-4 dozen pillows in my life!
@@thinkingimpaired5663 your welcome. Hope the temperdic pillow turns out to be the “one”! It may not, but it is different than just about any other pillow I’ve tried. FYI: I also was diagnosed with two herniated disks I’m my neck this year
@Razor 72 truly amazing how 2 discs control one's life. My 3rd herniation is at L5S1. Some days, I have to roll sideways out of bed just to stand up. I hope you're able to successfully manage your herniated discs. I do wear a neck pillow every night, I wish I could just design a pillow durable enough to last many years.
@@thinkingimpaired5663 So far I have been very lucky with my herniated disks. After an MRI and physical therapy I had an epidural in my neck which so far (about 6-7 months) have completely relieved all my symptoms. However, have been suffering from a very stiff neck on the other side for a couple weeks now that isn’t related to my herniated disks. Man, getting old is not fun! Good luck to you. Hope the pillow suggestion works out.
I’m trying this tonight. Now how do I remedy hip pressure pain? It’s fine when I first lie down, before the morning my hips feel like I’m sleeping on concrete.
@@kimberlysmith258 we have a new West Baden for that reason ( and back issues) and it is wonderful most of the time. There’s just times my hips hurt no matter what. It goes away after I’m up a few minutes.
Your videos are very good but you'll talk too much.. Make it short, get to the point, sometimes it is understandable but many times it gets very irritating to watch your videos. No offense, just a feedback. Also one suggestion, people are watching your videos are in pain, so avoid those unnecessary jokes which waste plenty of time, directly come on the point.

Try applying some magnesium gel to your neck
Wow literally 5 days ago I got a neck pain where I literally couldn’t move. I feel better now but this video is perfect timing!
I like the message at the start of the video. It's a keeper.
It certainly is, but it’s sooo hard for me to do that 😕😣😔
Not easy!
Omg!!! I tried this and the instant discomfort in my neck is gone !!!!! Love you guys

My neck hurts so bad sometimes because of poor sleep posture I have considered getting a padded neck brace to sleep in... no joke.
I love these guys! The explanations are clear and concise. Thank you.
Got to appreciate guys willing to help even if it might cut out some business. Much respect... ✌️& Favour ALL

You guys rock you have helped my with tight shoulder , my oshgood slaughter, and stiff neck streches with the towel.
What about sleeping (facing up) and without a pillow?? Is it good??
I found that tennis ball in a long socket works for my neck, shoulder pain. Bob and Brad have a nice video on how yo do. Thank you both.
I’m most comfortable completely flat. Is it ok to sleep on your back with no pillow at all?
2x
Of course it is! As far as I know it‘s actually quite good - when not sleeping on your side.
I think so but I try to avoid eating any food that causes acid reflux (or skip dinner entirely) before lying flat. Anyway, IMO their suggestion about using a rolled up towel is a great tip!
I usually wake up in the middle of my sleeping with my neck sore then it ends up triggering a headache changed pillow but no help
Thank you gentlemen!. You have helped to alleviate so many people's suffering with your video's.... ❤️
I cannot say enough good things about the McKenzie pillow! I even take it when traveling.
I’m going to order one!

What about someone who has shortness of breath while lying down and has to sleep 45° inclined? thank you
@Andrea Wylie I'd rather go to the Physiotherapist as she is the specialist....
Need names more pillows. Sleep Ovation great for side. Too thick for back sleeping
What is the best mattress? Soft or firm?

My reflux resolved when I went to a keto diet. Check out Dr Eric Berg on UA-cam
Eating just before lying down would give me reflux. I sit in a recliner for 2 hrs minimum before bedtime also a smaller dinner.
Raise the top of your bed by adding a board or brick under the feet or above box spring….tilts your bed a bit to help.

Do you have any tips or videos about sleeping on an adjustable bed ? It seems to me that it’s not helping my lower back issues
Make sure your legs are above your heart! That should help! We have an adjustable base as well

When young I'd lie on the couch with my head forward at end range. It caused extreme pain at times after.
Pl suggest best recliner for watching TV
Tight hip flexors would cause low back pain or discomfort if lying flat.

Been sleeping on my stomach with my neck turned all my life.
Ok
2 herniated cervicals create a lot of nerve issues. I have yet to find a firm enough neck pillow of the right diameter.
