The joy you both find in your mud larking adventures is so contagious. I can’t tell you how many times I have sat watching your videos and find myself saying “wow” or “that’s beautiful”. Then to watch you turn what others consider trash into beautiful treasures is amazing. I also love your background music.🥰☺️ Thank you for sharing with us.🙏☺️
My granny lived through the Great Depression. They turned broken things into something new, and called it a "make-do.". A stuffed ball of velvet on top of your candlestick would be a beautiful hat pin holder or pin cushion! ❤️ from Kentucky
I love when youtube pushes something delightfully niche to me like this. I don't know why, but I love watching people be super passionate and excited about things I know nothing about!
I had the same thought but like this: A piece of scrapwood for a base, glue a row of these spouts on it with E-6000 glue or the like, then small shards of porcelaine and pottery all around the base, and lastly a bit of grout for a beautiful mosaic Mudlark teatowel hanger! They’s also be lovely for a little garden mosaic fountain with water coming out the spouts.
Since you guys are so interested in glasswork I thought you might like to know that the Corning Museum of Glass here in the United States has a UA-cam channel where they post demonstrations every week. I thought you guys might like it. They go into great detail explaining how they do the different techniques being demonstrated in the videos; and they have master glass blowers from all over the world that come and do guests demonstrations.
Your videos are so well done,I'm amazed at your skills in repurposing items, I Love what is created and what is rescued, the music is beautiful too, thank you, loved watching every bit of it.
I dearly love that you take trash, even small broken glass pieces and make treasures with them. Astounding bead work. I worked as an Education coordinator for a major fabric and craft retailer in the USA for over 10 years. We had a teacher doing bead making, glass blowing in a store in California until the insurance folks found out. No fire safe place in the classroom. I am sure you have precautions in your home you can tell viewers about.
The swirl is universal and a perfect representation of everything being connected. From the snail to the galaxies, the swirl gives us a link to our ancestry all the way back to when the first cells of life on this planet came into existence.
It's always so fun watching you two find the neatest bits and bobs of treasure and then turning some of them into new works of art. I love and respect that you see the beauty in perceived "junk" and that you are able to bring it to a new generation.
I've been a long time subscriber now and I'm so glad, because I really would of missed out on two wonderful and kind people like yourselves, many blessings and love........until next time
You have such a wonderful relationship between the two of you, It is a joy to watch. It is clear that Gail has been an amazing mother and Alex is a super wonderful daughter. It is such a pleasure to watch how you interact with each other...just beautiful! And you do such fun things and make a big variety of different types of art that is just lovely!
Your beads came out so lovely, and I particularly love the little lavender bottle. I am quite envious of your fabulous art tools that let you do lamp work in your home!
The teapot spout upside down looks like a pudgy leg! I love your bottles! In my minds eye I see them hanging from different heights and also on a step shadow shelf. Perhaps filled with different essential oils. You both are a breath of fresh air! I look forward to seeing your videos each and every Sunday and you never disappoint me! Thank you so very much!
The beads, bottles and hat pins are beautiful. I don’t understand why the metal tools and fire doesn’t burn your hands, it’s amazing. Thank you for all of the videos they are so special. 💕
As an artist, if I was told I could only make one design choice for the rest of my life, it would be the swirl. It represents the winding clock we race to or settle in for. The swirl can be mathematically perfect such as the inside of a Nautilus shell.
The beads are so good!! You two have really got this down. Barbie the Mudlarker now has her own teacup and collection of bottle! What will she want next? There is a type of teapot that has many spouts and it’s a risk pouring your tea as to which one works! 😁
I miss read the bead making and thought it said bread making, although I thought it unusual I was waiting to see delicious bread but instead was rewarded with delicious beads 😀
Since you do not know the coeficient of expansion of the glass that you use a little experimenting is in order. Make a small test piece mixing 2 colors in several layers. Anneal the piece and set it aside. Later see if it has broken or if it will break easily at the junctions of the colors. Once you have found pieces that appear to be compatible Place the chunks aside together. If you test has been successful, those pieces can be used to make more colorful beads and other things. One other thing, to not have to use the chunks with the tweezers, attach the chunk to one of your rods and use that to add glass to what you are making. You may already know all this, I thought I just thought I would add it anyway. Again I really enjoy watching your lampworking glass.
Watching you in the bead-making segment was so much FUN! I've never seen it done before so I was totally entranced! Can you use almost any shards of glass? Or does it have to have certain properties? I loved this video! All good wishes to the two of you. You're both such special people! 💕
I have an idea for you. Save the smaller wide mouth jars, fill them with sea glass and sell them in your store! I know I love little bottles and love the sea glass you find so I bet lots of others would too! Stay safe! ❤
I hit the like button immediately when the video starts because I know I am going to ❤️ love it! You ladies never disappoint! The beads, hat pins and tiny bottles are precious! Thank you for sharing!
So many beautiful things to see. A tea cup 🍵 for your Mudlarking Barbie so sweet! You could take that and make it into a matching plate. I loved the teeth on her head aaarg! I know it was a previous video every time I see I laugh. I wonder if that beautiful rose 🌹 would fit a ponds container.Beautiful crafts
I soo soo love watching your channel, especially when you share your crafting skills and creative ideas... Thankyou for your sharing. You are both very gifted ladies ❤
I’m so glad you’ll be putting bottles in your shop. I’m in the US and will never be able to go mudlarking like you do but I would love to buy some of your finds or creations!
Wow. You two are getting really great at the glass bead/little bottle making skills. Thanks for sharing your talents with us. And as usual, great finds. ❤️
You have become such accomplished bead makers. Such artisan hat pins. Absolutely beautiful work. Could not take my eyes off you whilst you worked your magic.
Herring wiffees working with the silver darlings ( that's what they called the herring in the oldee days ) were held in great respect by the men folk who got on the same buses going to and from work .( also rumours of the ladies being greatly feared as well owing to the hard work and robustness of the women .).
What a beautiful outing thank you for taking me along I loved it! Thank you for the information on your finds ❣️I really really enjoyed the glass making projects you are both so very creative ❣️cheers enjoy your week keep creating♥️♥️🌸🌸🇨🇦
I love the fragments of pottery and glass thank you for showing us how to make the beads at home using your technique. You made out like bandits. I really love the Green Man.
Gail, if you never did anything with that teapot spout at 8:10, maybe clean around the outsides of the base, and attach it to something for a hat hook maybe. You both such great imaginations anyway, I'm jealous with envy at all you do.
Oh to spend an afternoon with you both, mudlarking and crafting would be wonderful and I’m sure many of your subscribers think the same way! Keeping us all entertained, even though we can be half way round the world. I have only been east as far as Gullane and Tantallon Castle. Next time we need to make it to Seaham. Thanks again
It never ceases to amaze me how few cars you see on your commutes. Living in California even near the lockdowns the roads are always jammed. In any event, great to see you guys larking regularly again.
What a wonderful collection of finds! I love the fish paste jar. The shape of it seems much more charming than some of the others I've seen collected, and it's/ your history. Watching the bead making is so impressive because I've had the opportunity to try it once and it's not as easy as you make it look.
Awesome treasures and beautiful bead making, even the bottles and hat pins look amazing, well done. God bless and stay safe and well and thank you for sharing 🙏🙏🙏🙏🥰🥰🥰🥰👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️🌸🌸🌸🌸

You should totally make miniatures for dollhouses and dioramas with your amazing talents, like that mini cup!
My granny lived through the Great Depression. They turned broken things into something new, and called it a "make-do.". A stuffed ball of velvet on top of your candlestick would be a beautiful hat pin holder or pin cushion! ❤️ from Kentucky
I love the idea of turning broken forgotten bits into something beautiful.very well done.
Thank you very much! X
Totally agree
@Marilyn Dreamwalker Mejorado Sooo do I!
I love when youtube pushes something delightfully niche to me like this. I don't know why, but I love watching people be super passionate and excited about things I know nothing about!
Sunday is mudlarking day on UA-cam!!!!
I had a very "Mudlarking rich day" too!
Glue the spouts to a board if you have strong glue, you can hang things like scarves from them. Longer tea spouts will hold kitchen towels.
That is a terrific idea!
i was just going to comment this! ive seen it done with railroad spikes and thought of it immediately. great suggestion!!
Great idea! I was thinking the spout looked like a table leg. Collect several and make a tiny table.
Ohh YEAhhhhhhh 🤓
I had the same thought but like this: A piece of scrapwood for a base, glue a row of these spouts on it with E-6000 glue or the like, then small shards of porcelaine and pottery all around the base, and lastly a bit of grout for a beautiful mosaic Mudlark teatowel hanger!

So happy that you took the green man home with you. Beautiful treasures.

I've watched some of their videos. They are amazing!
I've been there it is very cool. Isn't there a Steuben museum there as well? Cornell is a great university too.
Micah, I didn't know this. Is it in Corning California? I live in Nor Cal. : )
I was there yesterday! It's amazing!
@@rockreader4298 Corning New York.
I have to say I love your choice of background music. You have come a long way in bead making since the video of first attempts, well done.
Thank you Gail and Alex for taking us along . Always a joy to see the treasures.
Your videos are so well done,I'm amazed at your skills in repurposing items, I Love what is created and what is rescued, the music is beautiful too, thank you, loved watching every bit of it.
Thank you so much! We put a lot of time and work into our videos 🥰💕
Thank you for the little burst of Moonlight Sonata, I used to be able to play this (40 years ago)

This is your second time making beads & bottles? Your technique has already improved so much.
The swirl is universal and a perfect representation of everything being connected. From the snail to the galaxies, the swirl gives us a link to our ancestry all the way back to when the first cells of life on this planet came into existence.
You two are taking Recycling to a whole new level. You really have something unique with that spatter glass.
Scotland is very pro recycling, even McDonalds has trash bins for each type of trash; plastic, paper etc.
U guys really found some great stuff today. Love the green man,& that doll house cup, oh my gosh. Very nice.
Your beads are getting more beautiful each time you make them!
Always LOVE the little bottles and "stopple boppers"!!
Me too. love the colours.!!
It's always so fun watching you two find the neatest bits and bobs of treasure and then turning some of them into new works of art. I love and respect that you see the beauty in perceived "junk" and that you are able to bring it to a new generation.
Maybe you could make the teapot spouts into decorative hooks for the wall to throw a bathrobe or something on.
I've been a long time subscriber now and I'm so glad, because I really would of missed out on two wonderful and kind people like yourselves, many blessings and love........until next time
The tea spout could be elephant snout, great video, love all your finds!

making beads from mudlark glass pieces was brilliant! I love them
Just so lovely! Thank you for the respite from the world. Bless you ladies.
You two are amazing! Your glassmaking skills have improved so much. You should be proud.
Aww thank you very much! We have been practicing recently ☺️

The bead drop at the end!!!! It should be the new “mike drop”!! So lovely!

WOW you are getting really good at making beads & the glass blowing. Just love watching your videos.
I miss read the bead making and thought it said bread making, although I thought it unusual I was waiting to see delicious bread but instead was rewarded with delicious beads 😀
P.s. maybe you could sell bags of beads for people to make their own jewellery? XX

I definitely would!
Or painted with bath salts or sea salt and a cork for lids for either glass or salts and such
I hit the like button immediately when the video starts because I know I am going to ❤️ love it! You ladies never disappoint!
The beads, hat pins and tiny bottles are precious! Thank you for sharing!
Lovely beads. And headless figures. Keep up the good work.
You could also make beautiful hair sticks for your beautiful long hair Alex.
I adore the green man, he will make an amazing pendant that I will be utterly jealous of
I love hearing the stories about the bottles - especially the family connection to the fish paste bottle. What a wonderful find. 💜
Since I watch so many Mudlark video's I've gotten to see so many styles of paste pots and love them.
It’s amazing just how many designs are out there! ☺️
You can make glass teacup or whatever doll house. Those people would love buy your creatives of teacup or any glass for doll house. 😊
The bead making part was amazing! You two are just awesome 👌💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜👌👌👌👌
I soo soo love watching your channel, especially when you share your crafting skills and creative ideas... Thankyou for your sharing. You are both very gifted ladies ❤
So that is how you make beads out of glass! I had no idea! The beads turned out just beautiful!
Those purple glasses make Alex look like someone you might find hanging out with Andy Warhol.
You could make teapot spouts into single rose vases, that would be cute.
Watching you doing the glass work was fascinating.
When you go out mud larking you both find beautiful things and I love the history of your finds.
You have become such accomplished bead makers. Such artisan hat pins. Absolutely beautiful work. Could not take my eyes off you whilst you worked your magic.
The tiny teaspoon bottle is my favorite. Thanks for another fun video.
My favorite thing this week? That gorgeous little teacup Alex found,,,,,I absolutely love it!
I can see you have really mastered the art of making those lovely beads. Thankyou for showing us.
That purple bottle is perfect!
My first thought with the spout was to use it as a wall-hook or a little pull/knob on a cabinet. I’m always so envious of your finds!
I love beads and make jewelry. If I had the time to learn this I would be in bead heaven. Wonderful treasures ladies.
If you have a lot of tiny bottles you could use them as pawns for your chessboard. Also the fireman head could be for the King.
You should turn that teapot spout into a deconstructed fountain along with a broken teapot or teacup. That would be very cool!😁
Love these bottles. Please consider selling groups of them in your Etsy store. 🍾🍶🧂
Herring wiffees working with the silver darlings ( that's what they called the herring in the oldee days ) were held in great respect by the men folk who got on the same buses going to and from work .( also rumours of the ladies being greatly feared as well owing to the hard work and robustness of the women .).
You two are an absolute delight. I so enjoy larking with you and observing your finds and artistry!
What a treasure trove! How lovely.
I like Alex's Smurf hat pin!
What a beautiful outing thank you for taking me along I loved it! Thank you for the information on your finds ❣️I really really enjoyed the glass making projects you are both so very creative ❣️cheers enjoy your week keep creating♥️♥️🌸🌸🇨🇦
really enjoyed watching you guys making the beads
Absolutely love all the beads, little small bottles, and hat pins they are just fantastic
Love the 'aquamarine' color of the small glass bottles...lovely !
Teapot spouts would look cute as legs if glued to a ceramic pot or box.
You could put a few tea pot spouts onto a piece of wood to use as coat hooks.
I thought the same thing but was thinking for aprons. 🙂
Oh yes, beautiful and cool idea to make that broken glass turn into beads glass. Awesome! 😊
Making the beads absolutely fascinated me- 😎🇺🇸
You should give that little glass marbled mug to your Barbie for her coffee😁
You look like your great grandfather, Gail!😀 Love all the pretty blue bottles. Another great video! Thank you.
Must be the beard
I loved watching you both create your beautiful new treasures from old bits.
Love how you two made the glass shards into beads and tiny bottles! Love the hat pins
Yes yes!!! More beads! I need more beads 😂, they are beautiful ! 💕
I love all your glassworks; beads, hat pins and your mini bottles
Love your glasswork! I've always wanted to try it, especially lampwork beads! And that was a great shot of the moon!
From treasure hunting to making treasures. Love the beads, bottles, and hat pins. They are all lovely.

Cracker Jack is still sold in states. The toy is sticker now. Love pink bead.
those beads are fantastic! i love the green swirly ones!
I love the spatter glass beads! You should try making small bottle stoppers next!
