I went apartment hunting and viewed a lot of places (about 20) this month. It was so exhausting but a fun experience as well. It's expensive though hahaha I couldn't find places cheaper than what's in the video. I hope you enjoy this and let me know if you guys want to see the other places as well. I have so many videos !!!

You are STUNNING, Jasmine! Absolutely beautiful. Also, never buy/rent at 'asking' price. I live in Los Angeles and my mom is a realtor...the way it works: rent changes during 'moving' season. In spring and summer, the prices rise because most leases are coming to an end and everyone wants a new place. They don't mind moving, new events in the neighborhoods make everyone REALLY want the place and even tourists will rent for month to month lease. In fall and winter when it's colder, people want to stay inside and aren't trying to move through bad weather or are in their leases for a couple more months so the prices go down a couple hundred. Hope that helped anyone else looking.
So you are saying it’s best to look for a new place during winter time? And what do you do if you are not going for asking price? Like what do you say during that discussion?
@@sheilatennyson1213 I’ve moved twice on my own with my mother’s help and I usually move around fall but winter is good too. It’s almost always a compromise. They’ll go down if you agree to sign a longer lease which isn’t much because they’re getting it those extra months you’re staying in rent, but it takes off the monthly amount due each month. You could also ask them about move in specials. Most apartments will take off first month rent if you move in by a certain date or give you free parking. You just have to know what you want and ask the person. Rent specials and lower price for long term are the most common ones they’re willing to compromise on as far as my experience goes :-) hope that helps

Older condo buildings are usually bigger, and you definitely get your money's worth. The only thing is that sometimes it lacks the amenities that a newer building has (pool, library, newer gym etc.). But at the end of the day I'm going to be living in the apartment and not in the amenity areas lol. That's my personal preference. I am not surprised you fell in love with the last condo.
Thoughts exactly. I quickly realised that during my search. Definitely going with an older building next time.

In Nigeria 🇳🇬 you pay an agent for each house they show you, then after you get the house you still have to pay 10-15 percent of your rent. In some cases you even pay legal fee separately.it’s crazy. I’m really happy for you and I can’t wait to see what you do with the place.
