Definitely use a 2 or 3 mm sheet of acrylic (LOVE that stuff!) if you want a flat surface next time.
Those rub -ons...I've never done paper crafting, but they are amazing! Gorgeous coasters! 😘❤😊

But, for me, the greatest idea came from your so called ‘mistake’… the rippling transfer tape!!! I do a great deal of ocean/beach inspired pieces, and I’ve been trying to work out an easy way to get ripples in transparent resin… and you just gave it to me.
You are very much appreciated and not just because of your talent, but also the time and effort you put into sharing that talent with us! Thank you.

I love the types in the trays, it adds to the abalone shells and make it look like a mystical pond. This would work awesome for my 3d painted fish. Beautiful colors too!

The different colored stones gave me a very “rainbow fish” vibes! I don’t know if y’all have that children’s book in the UK but it was a fave of mine as a kid.😊 also I love the ripples it goes with the rainbow fish vibes perfectly

That is such a cool idea to make a shape using transfer tape like that! I think they look amazing! The ripples really give a water effect. The coasters came out really cool too! Each piece has it's own special look, I love them. Wendy's colors will make anything glorious in appearance but your imagination really makes them pop 110% out of the box and satisfy our eyes taste buds.

Oh Louise, you are always too hard on yourself, I know that wasn’t the effect you were going for, but I think it adds texture by having the ripples. I think it will grow on you. The shells looks so pretty in your trays

I'm thinking of making a large silicone sheet out of molding material. When cured, it should be shiny on top and give a fairly good gripping surface for bezels or resin shapes to semi- stick to. Possible re-use able alternative to the transfer tape, yes?❤

Acetate would work best and try running hot glue around the edges of the outside to prevent any spillage. I love these pigments yes they are costly especially here in the states due to shipping costs but I have to have them! They look to be very high quality id love to see them mixed into the resin vs brushed on to a mold.. id love a side by side to see the different effects
Also this really came out beautifully I love the movement from those ripples but I can see if it's not what you were going for how that could be an issue acetate would definitely be what you would want to use..

Like others I like the ripples
You were/are correct, that the ripples do add a nice touch to the trays. What is terribly distracting, is the line left from your attempt to "SEAL" the form on the tape. I don't think that was necessary at all. I've seen MANY people pour into a shape that is stuck down on tape. It never leaks. You COULD, go around the OUTER rim, with a hot glue gun, if you're worried, because that will peal away from the resin . Good try though. Your idea has some promising possibilities.

The pigments are very nice,
however it’s a ridiculous amount for so little product!!!!! I was very upset when I opened the containers!
I understand paying a little bit more for quality, but to me when I seen how little product for the high amount I paid I felt scammed to be perfectly honest!!!!!
59.00 plus for 6 pots thet have less then a gram of powder in each!!!!! That’s not right!
I've watched many videos where people have used these pigments, and I keep thinking they are beautiful- but is that really all you get? I can't rationalize spending that much for so little. For now, I will stick with Let's Resin Intense Chameleon powders. They don't give you much either, but they are less expensive.
