Man coverage should never be the meta. It’s literally all cpu. Especially if you don’t play mut you sometimes simply don’t have the receivers to get open no matter what. EA dropped the ball
For the Dollar - Cover 2 Man LB Blitz do I have to put Base Alignment in the coaching option? I saw someone else mentioned if auto flip should be set to on and you suggested to turn it off.
I’ve been running this defense for 2 years. It’s actually very effective towards any offense ran only problem I came across was playing against the dolphins with tyreek hill and jaylen waddle they still some will beat the cornerbacks and safeties so I like to run cover 4 out of the dollar formation
@@coreyharrell1112 I don’t like running spinner. I 98% of the time I’m playing with the niners which has a great d line and great linebackers. When I run spinner it usually not effective and when I run rb fire 2 I user the mlb and play the middle of the field and that gets pressure on the qb but my favorite pressure play is out of the 4-3 formation I do a cover 1 and user blitz the safety that’s supposed to cover middle of the field. It’s a sack 80% of the time then I show the same thing but instead of blitzing I fall back into coverage and have success
I live in dollar but I’m all zone def, I would assume shading under and inside would probably hurt me in zones, but would live your take on it. Great content, I’m subbed for the future
If you run zone drops shade inside and underneath won’t hurt you. Just re-zone your purple zones (curl flats etc). If you’re running a hybrid I don’t recommend shading down as if the receivers are not being pressed it’s weaker.

What I do to stop it I use bunch, then motion the outside receiver inside and it pretty much always makes the corner lose off the break to where the users gonna always have to follow him which means my running back is almost always open

This is really good coverage ,, but I have a huge QUESTION,, what would be the BEST way to switch it up and send pressure out of this also? This would be killer if I could send pressure on certain downs and still play decent coverage

I would recommend short route ko and deep route ko people will tend to look for shorter routes when they can’t beat you deep. Or you can do medium and short ko since your safeties will have everything covered deep
So in terms of mut when I go to the safety package it takes out 2 of my corners, puts my usual safeties there, and puts my safeties usually at linebacker into my deep safeties. How could I fix this?
The RB would be your responsibility if he goes on a flat or other route. If he were on a streak I would cover him for a short bit and lead him into the inside third.
@@Swolosimo I guess what I meant here is that I press covereage, shade underneath, shade inside, put the safeties in thirds, put the lb in the middle third, user the other lb make sure he is on blitz and move him so there is a blitz angle, cover the hb or middle of field after snap and I still keep getting beat over the top... frustrated

If you’re getting burnt with certain routes try individually shading in the opposite direction. For example, shade the one corner getting beat to the outside
you don’t have to shade underneath in Cover 2 man; the default shading is underneath because the corners have safety help.. and just for information purposes, Cover 1 default shading is over the top because there’s no safety help.

The order doesn't matter. However, I would not shade overtop, I would make sure to shade inside and underneath or underneath then inside.

A lot of the times you can shoot the runs, in the times you can’t a pinched d line will suffice.

Before you switch your package. Sub your slot cornerbacks out, then back in via the substitution menu.

Multiple d and 46 are the best playbooks with it.
Everything I shade underneath, I get beat over the top.
That’s why the thirds are there.

Just watched this vid and my fist game I won 48-7 I didn’t run the safeties package cuz it put my people in different positions
Try subbing them in and out beforehand, you’ll see much better results I promise.
Press and shade over top on Mike blitz. User blitz the center. If running back blocks play center with user LB. Also have a good team in MUT Helps too
This is definitely a viable defense but be weary of streaks.
