I found my first gold ring in the 70s with an old Whites Coinmaster. That Gordon blows it away. The ring was an England Air Force Base 18k with missing stone. That old detector used a sack full of batteries. I hope you find a huge ring or bracelet. They`re out there but you have to dig everything. I do like to just hunt quarters though. Back in the 70s/80s/90s you could find more quarters than you could carry in some places like boat landings, fairgrounds, gravel parking lots of bars and baseball fields.
lucky dog! i am so looking forward to pillaging the local swim holes. gold baby! the thing that gets me is how all detectors are slightly different as far as the numbers meaning different things. seems ;like it should all be standard. like, thick gold ring being a certain number across all machines... it seems to be randomly different across all machines. but i have no goldring with which to test my machine. i know its low numbers that i dial out on porpise.
@@rickylakemusic I found three 14k gold rings in just over 30 minutes in a swimming area on Toledo Bend Lake when they`d lowered it to repair the dam. I was using an old Bounty Hunter from Radio Shack in 1996...the first detector I had ever seen with target ID. Rings came up as Nickel/Pull Tab on the ID and that was like a miracle to me back then. That detector was stolen. Someone had dumped garbage in this spot so I only found a few rings before I got into the trash. But at least I found the three...my very best day ever!
@@rickylakemusicthey can't really make the numbers the same across all machines, even machines with multiple selectable single frequencies changing the frequency can change the numbers, I don't quite understand how the numbers work except vaguely that they correspond to the conductivity of the metal, the new Garrett Vortex is having trouble with the numbers, a big silver dollar was reading like 65 when it really should ring up in the 90s, todays machines are very complicated they are basically computers inside
@@baneverything5580 . . . . They swim in Toledo bend ? I heard they have alligators down there ! Yikes ! LOL. Texoma has gators too ! So I don't fish out my tube on that lake either ! I'm a little gator shy maybe , But I like keeping both legs ! LOL. Congrats on finding your three rings , nice !
I have an old Bounty Hunter 202 and was able to get a damaged box deal on a Vanquish 340. Then the area where I wanted to use it changed owners. I have no car and there`s no places to hunt here in Louisiana anymore in my area anyway because of hunting clubs. I made a gallon of blackberry wine and a quart of white lightning recently. Can`t buy it so I make it.

Every metal detector video should start with a 40 of High Life. You keep it up and you will have enough to buy another 40. 👍

I know, right? I only said the name Everytime I pulled it out. Haha!😅 Sarcasm is a lost art.
How do you discriminate with only the three numbers
By using the various buttons that do those functions. Really easy and works well.
Plus, after a while you begin to notice the numbers more and they tell you what it most likely is.
