    Wow... A new shaman to follow 😃
    Got a TE10 here. My baby. Cracker of concrete and as reliable as ever...
    And it passed away yesterday.. 😭😭😭 After nearly 35 years.
    Drilled a hole for the garden tap... No problem.
    Wanted to drill another one at a neighbor, and not a likkle sound anymore.
    Didn't give up. Took the back of, cleaned the start thing. Got the 3 front screws of, and didn't dare to go further.
    Saved your video, gonna give it a step by step try just as in the video, and wish me luck 😕
    I only hope it's not an electrical issue, cause I have no clue how to work that out...
    Thanks for this video. Took me literally 20 seconds to find.
    Happy as a kid.... So far... 😃👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻🎉

    TE 10... Gosh, one of the best of the best drills i've ever worked with. Light, strong, very user-friendly, great tool. For me, only one was better - TE 30...

    This is the 5th tile project we've done where we've removed the old tile before installing new tile, and the first one with this tool ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxqqoaX03nrziKwF7Bjjcc71YzLEleMvOS . I want to cry for all the unnecessary work we've done in the past. With this tool, we removed tile surrounding a fireplace, as well as the hearth tile, set in loads of cement, in less than an hour. I highly recommend this tool. It was easy to use, and very satisfying watching the tile literally fall off the wall.

    Like how you didn't doll up the drill this time. Always respected a well-used piece of equipment. And that stator rewind you did... that's boss level skills, man.

      I don't know anything about engineering but I always thought those had to be done by machines because they looked like they need to be extremely precise. When I saw him doing it by hand in the video, I was like, "HOLY CRAP!"

    best little hammer drill. Mine is a bit worn after 20+ years but still does it's job. Just found a clean looking battery version for 30 posted minus batts and charger. Cheaper than buying all the bits I will need to rebuild the front end. Hopefully it's just a straight swap. I saw this vid just as I was starting to strip them which was good cause i got no grease and I'm not doing it twice and I can't be without my hilti, it makes me money. Thx for the vid

    That’s a well engineered and built hand tool right there. The hammer mechanism and gearing are excellent. Well done on that restoration. Well worth the effort in my mind. Do you often rewind stators? I imagine rewinding armatures would be extremely difficult given the balancing issues.

    Just from personal experience, a screw gun or drill works better for reassembly. You can turn the clutch down to prevent stripping the screw holes, and you don’t have to worry about it hammering.

  • @johndawe2916

    Thanks for the Video. Just refurbed my TE 10- Wunderbar! I'm old school - If you can 'Fix it'= Do IT! iF you live in Australia, & Hilti says 'IT'S' Superceded, go online, order your Brushes Etc in from Germany or wherever (2 sets including Freight & Dodgy Global exchange rate = AU$21. Bearings Locally. = Active Kit! I don't have a 'Bench Press' for Circlip reinstall - Used 5/8 W Socket & good old 'G' Clamp (Bush engineering - LOL). If you don't have a grease Syringe, 'Small' Paint brush or 'Spray grease' (Even used 'good quality' Chain lube for 'Tight places & penetration' - if your stuck-[They're Not high revving anyway]). Tried the CaCarb cleaner on plastics- Mixed success - A good over the counter Auto Degreaser works a treat, (Including Diecast Metal internals - Used a Metal rice strainer to keep all bearings & bits from being lost whilst 'Cleaning') & spray all with CRC or equiv on completion seems to work OK. Don't forget the ball bearing in External end cap on reassembly! Hand Carpentry clamp, to keep drill vertical on reassembly, if you haven't got a 3rd hand, or Vice - LOL!
    Really good presentation, & good to be able to Rewind on details - Some of my TE was slightly different - But close enough to experiment!
    Be well.

    • @heeltoe6845
      @heeltoe6845 4 роки тому

      Of course it possible. You’ll likely just need to 3D print housings to properly hold the stator. So not in the scope of normal people.

    • @miikapekk5155
      @miikapekk5155 4 роки тому

      @@heeltoe6845 you don't even need a 3d printer, make one the old fashioned way using sand cast moulding. Cut a pattern from styrofoam encase it in a fine sand clay mix, heat it up to remove bubbles and pour in your melted aluminium or Zinc alloy. Then file the final product to fit. You could use wax if you don't like styrofoam.
