Wow... A new shaman to follow 😃
Got a TE10 here. My baby. Cracker of concrete and as reliable as ever...
And it passed away yesterday.. 😭😭😭 After nearly 35 years.
Drilled a hole for the garden tap... No problem.
Wanted to drill another one at a neighbor, and not a likkle sound anymore.
Didn't give up. Took the back of, cleaned the start thing. Got the 3 front screws of, and didn't dare to go further.
Saved your video, gonna give it a step by step try just as in the video, and wish me luck 😕
I only hope it's not an electrical issue, cause I have no clue how to work that out...
Thanks for this video. Took me literally 20 seconds to find.
Happy as a kid.... So far... 😃👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻🎉
TE 10... Gosh, one of the best of the best drills i've ever worked with. Light, strong, very user-friendly, great tool. For me, only one was better - TE 30...
Thank you so much for sharing!
How much W
And how much J
Does T10 have?
*Good price , Heavy duty Works great **MyBest.Tools** on cement and brick work.*
This is the 5th tile project we've done where we've removed the old tile before installing new tile, and the first one with this tool ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxqqoaX03nrziKwF7Bjjcc71YzLEleMvOS . I want to cry for all the unnecessary work we've done in the past. With this tool, we removed tile surrounding a fireplace, as well as the hearth tile, set in loads of cement, in less than an hour. I highly recommend this tool. It was easy to use, and very satisfying watching the tile literally fall off the wall.
Like how you didn't doll up the drill this time. Always respected a well-used piece of equipment. And that stator rewind you did... that's boss level skills, man.
I don't know anything about engineering but I always thought those had to be done by machines because they looked like they need to be extremely precise. When I saw him doing it by hand in the video, I was like, "HOLY CRAP!"
@Another_Stupid_Name Thank you so much!
@ECHEVER1A It is possible to rewind it by hand. Thanks for visiting this video.
@@gear_show ua-cam.com/video/mQvlwrfJRTI/v-deo.html Hey! amazing work on the rewind! Heres a very quick video of a machine winding up one of these I think you would enjoy it! Very cool.
Nice that you redid the windings👍
Yes, thank you!
I read that as “Wingdings” and kept waiting for that

Suuuuper Mechaniker!Respect!
Thank you!
Hilton,the king of hammer drills👍
Thank you!
Hilti, not Hilton ;) but Hilton's may used Hilti's to build their hotels :D
Nice repair!!💪
💪💪💪💪
Thanks 👍
I’ve still got this drill it’s the daddy. It runs on 240V in the uk. Great job 👏
best little hammer drill. Mine is a bit worn after 20+ years but still does it's job. Just found a clean looking battery version for 30 posted minus batts and charger. Cheaper than buying all the bits I will need to rebuild the front end. Hopefully it's just a straight swap. I saw this vid just as I was starting to strip them which was good cause i got no grease and I'm not doing it twice and I can't be without my hilti, it makes me money. Thx for the vid
Impressive how mint it looks inside. Even the seal wasn't baked on or brittle!
So super nice work and cool content
Thanks so much
Awesome. lets start seeing you fix some chain saws now! Always loved those restoration vids..
Very soon! thank you for suggestion!
Hilti very reliable industrial tools. :-)
Thank you for sharing :-)
.Excellent work👍👍👍. Thanks for sharing
Thank you 👍
Great work 👍. Difficult part is rewinding and remembering turns.
Yes, you're right 👍
Sekimotosan put some serious hard miles on that drill
Nice Rebuild!
You do Restorations like air compressor and things like that. I like that things
Yes, I'm glad you like it.
Great full ideas
Thank you! 😊
That’s a well engineered and built hand tool right there. The hammer mechanism and gearing are excellent. Well done on that restoration. Well worth the effort in my mind. Do you often rewind stators? I imagine rewinding armatures would be extremely difficult given the balancing issues.
I think rewinding armature is ot worth it as you mentioned the cause.
Thank you so much! This is my first time to rewind the stator, I used to watch a lot video on how to rewind a stator. Yes rewinding armature is more extremely difficult to give the balancing, I am not yet try it.
Woah! I never seen you rewind a coil before wow! Nicely done 👍
Thanks! 😁I just a learn about it.
Why no varnish for winding?
Hi! Thank you so much for your film. It helped me a lot to release the drill from the drill head!
Excellent video, learned a lot to tackle my TM8
I'm glad you like it, thank you!
Excellent restoration video. Well done!
Man you're really rewind
the stator.....WOW.......JUST WOW.
Thank you so much!
Suggestion: diesel is way better than gasoline to clean mechanical parts.
Oh great! thanks for the tips.
Yep, it doesn´t evaporate, so much less of a fire hazard and there´s no need for WD40 afterwards.
Yes but it damage all rubber seals....
kerosene as well
Parts Wash liquid is absolutely best
Nice repair video, do you lubricated aluminium cylinder abd piston o-ring? It's important to do that because it will get hot, o-ring will worn out fast and you will lose hammering power...
You can always remove permanent marker with rubbing alcohol.nice job on the retiring too.
Back in service. Very good.👍
Great video, I have the modern 22v edition of this tool.
Please do more Hilti power tools. Would like to see a comparison of old vs. new, though I have a suspicion the old ones would come out on top.
I love seeing your video good luck
Nice video Brother 😁
Thanks Meily Kim 💋
Yay yo, really nice repair my bro.
Again, good job. I learn a lot.
Glad to hear that :)
I buy one this in my local pawnshop for 30 bucks, works great!! Hilti is very robust
Hello👋 Love youre channel nice work 👍👍❤️
Thank you so much!
Hilti made for never die!
Yes, it is.
Rewound a burnt stator, wow.
Superb job on the motor rewind!
Thank you!
you have great patience
I've got one, 35 years old at least. Still perfect just needs new brushes
Cool vid and it looked like you even used one of your previously restored drills to help
Yeah I did
Just from personal experience, a screw gun or drill works better for reassembly. You can turn the clutch down to prevent stripping the screw holes, and you don’t have to worry about it hammering.
Thanks for the Video. Just refurbed my TE 10- Wunderbar! I'm old school - If you can 'Fix it'= Do IT! iF you live in Australia, & Hilti says 'IT'S' Superceded, go online, order your Brushes Etc in from Germany or wherever (2 sets including Freight & Dodgy Global exchange rate = AU$21. Bearings Locally. = Active Kit! I don't have a 'Bench Press' for Circlip reinstall - Used 5/8 W Socket & good old 'G' Clamp (Bush engineering - LOL). If you don't have a grease Syringe, 'Small' Paint brush or 'Spray grease' (Even used 'good quality' Chain lube for 'Tight places & penetration' - if your stuck-[They're Not high revving anyway]). Tried the CaCarb cleaner on plastics- Mixed success - A good over the counter Auto Degreaser works a treat, (Including Diecast Metal internals - Used a Metal rice strainer to keep all bearings & bits from being lost whilst 'Cleaning') & spray all with CRC or equiv on completion seems to work OK. Don't forget the ball bearing in External end cap on reassembly! Hand Carpentry clamp, to keep drill vertical on reassembly, if you haven't got a 3rd hand, or Vice - LOL!
Really good presentation, & good to be able to Rewind on details - Some of my TE was slightly different - But close enough to experiment!
Be well.
Great job
Awesome👍👍
Thanks 🤗
Good job.👏🏻👏🏻
great work like usually. Next project clean the washing plastic tub :D
I think it is a damage on the surface not dirtiness but he can do it.
Nice job.I really enjoy watching your work
Great restoration, I wonder what Mr. Electricity would say about the motor winding. :)
I'm curious if it's possible to upgrade a cordless brushed motor tool into a brushless motor tool.
Of course it possible. You’ll likely just need to 3D print housings to properly hold the stator. So not in the scope of normal people.
@@heeltoe6845 you don't even need a 3d printer, make one the old fashioned way using sand cast moulding. Cut a pattern from styrofoam encase it in a fine sand clay mix, heat it up to remove bubbles and pour in your melted aluminium or Zinc alloy. Then file the final product to fit. You could use wax if you don't like styrofoam.
great job
Otra muy, muy, muy buena restauración!!
For one Hilti it worth the work..👍
Yes it is!
Hello, I have the same electric hammer. But I have no more percussion. Do you have any idea of the failure? Thank you

I still use one T-10 in Every Day work. I also have one T-10A, but Ni-Cd Battery is not work, and i am thinking how to change Battery pack in Li-Ion cells. I have a brand new Hilti Drill machine but this is not in use, T-10 is working well. Timeless designe.

Not shown how to remove the bearing overlapping the rotor side, The tool recording (with shaft sealing dissasembly), and other parts from there are not removed. This is a specific tool, but a top one. Thanks
I have one unit TE10 , sad to say the needle bearing broken , can not get this part from hilti Malaysia.. Anybody can help ?

Thank you so much, I'm so glad this video popup in Bazil!
Excellent
Nice rewind, nut I do not think you should use the side of a grinding wheel, only front face.
Thank you! Thank you for the feedback!
It seems to be quite new inside
Luftkolben!
mfg
I wonder what he does with all the tools he restores... I mean I know he uses some of them but he restored like 15 drills on this channel and nobody needs that many drills
Toop 👍👍🇵🇹
Thank you!
👍👍👍❤️
👍👍👍👍👍👍
This video gave me Breaking Bad vibes.
I like it though.
Rule #1: For disassembling collector drive, carbon brushes remove first.
I agree! But he done this very well, I like it...
