Good evening folks! Welcome back to this week's meals of the week....lovely to see you 🤗
I just found a good recipe for a spice combo that works well with boneless thighs. Put them in a bag with a bit of oil and the spices. Massage it all in (or do it by hand and use gloves). Bake a few minutes. Leftovers are great for sandwiches
@@LindaC616 Sounds amazing Linda! 😯
@@WhatsForTea it's got a bit of cayenne in it, IIRC.🤣 Want it?
@@LindaC616 😂😂😂
I want to confess that I am addicted to your 'Meals of the Week' videos.
Although I am a 70 year old retiree, who lives alone on a fixed income in Canada, and almost never prepares meals for myself from 'scratch', I truly enjoy your menus, presentations, and recipes, and do occasionally take inspiration from them .
I discovered you shortly after you began your channel, and remain very glad that I did.
Your videos are like spending a few minutes every Sunday with a friendly and beloved, long time neighbour, and I certainly hope that you will never tire of showcasing your family dinners (teas) for us.
Oh I think I'm first! 59yrs old a a wee bit excited about that!! lol
LOL...you are! Welcome 😄👍
At our age, it's the little things in life😅
Love Sunday with you🖐🖐🇺🇸🇺🇸
Aw thank you so much...lovely to see you 🤗
I don’t know what I would do without your inspiration- I am totally clueless what to have most days without watching this xxxxx
Glad to be of help 😁👍
Happy Sunday ❤
Thank you Kathy! You too...hope you've had a good day my friend 🤗
Looking forward to the soup recipe. My parents LOVE soup but hate cooking so I step in and make things for them, especially when it reminds them of home. We only live in Wales but it’s surprising how far away Scotland feels when you can’t get staples you grew up with like plain bread , square sausage or decent morning rolls. So many of your recipes really make memories come alive. Considering they’re in their late 70s and less able to pop back for visits I really do appreciate the trouble you go to sharing things like this ❤
the chicken and rice soup meal looked absolutley fantastic
Cheryl your meals are so inspiring and look so nourishing.😋
Thanks for another fun video. I live in NYC where we are practically tripping over both Chinese and Indian restaurants. I don't think I have ever had a curry from either country that DIDN'T have onions and and usually peas. What we would never find are your meals with double or triple carbs. Or the baked potatoes with tuna salad. That's why it's so much fun to see what people eat in other countries. Thanks again😊
I've got to say that your steak and rice is my idea of a short cut quick meal. So often people settle for something frozen straight from a container, microwaved for a few minutes, but this is a proper meal done in not much more time than it would take to do that. And so much tastier and healthier!
Mashed potatoes and garden peas - what more could you ask of life!! (OK, perhaps a serve of baked beans now and again too!)
". DO DO " made me laugh , great meals , looking forward to that Chicken and Rice Soup Recipe , looks delish ❤😊❤
My favorite time of the week. Thank you Cheryl ❤
Aw thank you so much for stopping by Patricia! Lovely to see you ☺
And I always add peas to my curry too. I think their sweetness balances the curry’s heat. Your week’s menu looks delicious.
Fantastic looking meals as always YUMMY!
Yay❣ It's Sunday evening. My favorite 'chill' channel ❣🤗
Food looks superlicious as always. Greetings from South Africa.

It all looks delicious once again. I Especially like the spin of the plates very professional
I want some of everything. It all looks so good. We love your recipes. TY. Love ya.
Where I live in Hertfordshire a Chinese curry has onion and peas in it :)
Looks great, as usual!
I put peas, onions, diced carrots and mushrooms in my curries 😅

I love chicken thighs, I make chicken noodle soup with the leg quarters, it turns out so good. Everything looked pretty good this week.
Good evening Cheryl & all watching 👋. Another lovely selection of family meals on offer in the WFT household. Your Chinese curry looks delicious, (might make one tomorrow & always add peas to mine as well), your poached fish & parsley sauce looks so tasty & I just love chicken & rice soup!😋 I tend to put more veg in mine coupled with loads of fresh parsley 🥣, a meal in itself with some lovely crusty bread. As always, thanks for sharing 🙏 & hope you’re enjoying a nice relaxing bank holiday weekend. Take care & have a great week. xx 👩🏻🍳🍲🥘🥧😋👌💕💞🩷
Thank you so much David! Can't beat crusty bread with traditional soup....a big hug in a bowl ☺ Have a fab rest of your week my friend...and I'll hopefully speak to you soon 🙂

Happy Cinco de Mayo Cheryl!
Steak...😋
I don't have a butcher, never had only supermarket s meat
Sunday videos are great. They give me ideas for future meals. But, I need to ask one question. Where did you get those fantastic glazed plates. I love them.
Love your meals of the week vlogs, I must say have never heard of chips with curry 🤔
Hi Mrs. P it looks yummy as usual x
Aw thank you my lovely...nice modding with you today 🤩
Anything special in Carlisle? Is it just easier than heading up to Glasgow, even though it’s farther?
That all looked wonderful. Thank you so much. Your mashed potatoes looked a bit different at the end of the week, were they a different type of potato?
Those scones on mince remind me of something that my dad used to make called “fatty cakes” - he called fruit scones “currant cakes” - never did cheese scones, though - he was excellent at baking - but his bread let him down - it was too crusty and hard!
Those were not scones but just rounds of puff pastry.
Your meals are good and affordable. You do alit if fish n chips, lots of pasta and chicken..... Do U like lamb, gammon or something a bit different,???
We don't have lamb very often 🙂 not a favourite of ours...we have gammon from time to time x
I'm a silly person! I thought at first the chip in the Chicken Curry recipe was a sausage!
I bet those curry dishes would be delicious with pasta.
Absolutely! 🙂👍
@@WhatsForTea we have a local Indian restaurant that does chicken tiki masala over pasta as a lunchtime special. So many places do fusion these days. Nice to shake things up.🏴🇺🇸
Not sure about that used to rice, potato or chips but I’d try it :)
I cook curry I don’t know the difference between an Indian and a Chinese. I just know I enjoyed my curry.
Greetings from carlisle 🫶🏼
Thanku so much 4 ur lovely recipes,,tha rice with d steaks looks delicious,,that's an idea 4 d week x
😍😎
@What's for Tea are you collaborating with little blue?
The only thing that is very slightly horrifying to me is my husband likes peanut butter sandwiches with chili. Whatever floats your boat.
🌹☕️🙋🏻♀️
if you maybe were thinkin aboot adoptin somebody, can I please be at the front of the que?
Aw 'course 🤭🤗
🖐🏻👍
Please give me a shout when you are next in Carlisle xxx
💖💖💖💖💖🤤😄😘
❤beautiful 🇨🇦🥰🇨🇦🥰👍👍👍💯🌹🏴
What kind of monster objects to putting frozen peas in a curry?
😆😂😂😂
I love peas and onions in curry too
@@pinkcandyfloss-nz5hb It's great isn't it! 😄💙
@@WhatsForTeait sure is
Pearl 🐱said to tell you that she thinks you're a much better cook than you give yourself credit for Cheryl.💞🇨🇦
Aw, tell Pearl she's very sweet 😻😹💙
Honestly, I'm way more horrified by the chips in the curry than the peas.
What do you mean by Indian curry compared to Chinese curry? What are the differences that make one chinese?
One’s… from… China… and the other is from… India… 🤦♀️
@@NunyaBusiness_1993 theyre obviously both from Scotland
I don't like peas so I don't buy or add any.
Intrigued to watch until i heard you were Scottish. No thanks.
Your loss entirely. There’s nothing wrong with someone being Scottish. 🤦🏻♀️
What the actual hell is wrong with you
Bye then, don't let the door hit you on the way out, love from Scotland 🏴
As nearly always, no seasonality, no variation, no imagination, all pretty unhealthy and just so repetitive.
I feel for the family, Cheryl’s lovely, obviously a nice person but the family must be tearing their hair out with the monotony of the dishes. Every week is the same.
Cheryl needs to let someone else in the family cook, she’s reached her limit as a home cook, she’s unwilling to try new things / techniques and the family’s worth more than this. Far more. The YT channel is ruining their lives.
Mate, just start your own channel and show us all how’s it’s done if you’re such an expert 🙄
@@AFndjdj7373 You tell that little obnoxious little twit 😉. Every week the same criticisms BIG YAWN. Most people tend to eat the same meals day in and day out. I love to cook but I don’t have the time to create new meals every darn day. Maybe once in a while I’ll try a new recipe and put it into rotation.
Most families eat the same things, they clearly like it, and that's all that matters
