Being a little old, one does have to know when to quit. The most amazing thing is no cussing!!! You go dude, never ever give up, just rest more often.

Guy lives in a million dollar house on the water, and because he’s too cheap to hire someone, takes a chance on killing himself over a frigen piling. I see this shit all the time in Florida. Fall off their roofs. Ladders. And 9/10 it’s all wrong

yea well I guess...NOT! bought my home on a saltwater marsh creek in 1989 for $112K, Made payments on mortgage rates way higher than those today and spent many thousands keeping it up and today it's worth almost $600K. Does that mean I'm sitting on a pile of cash to pay others? Hardly, I need all that cash to pay for ever increasing millage rates so ignorant people can make ignorant pronouncements about someone else's wealth and wisdom.

Can tell by the jacked up electrical work and raw wires it’s one of those old school water homes that’s been around forever and is in bad shape. All lakes seem to have some. Crap shacks next to million dollar homes. My guess is house is a mess of code violations and safety issues by the look of the electrical work on the lift.
There were a lot in the 70-80’s on lakes around me. In the 90’s people had the good since to buy, take them down and rebuild new meeting code.
Some still hold out trying to keep them together with spit and bubble gum.
      Can call it lake gentrification.

Get a hand to jet the pile while you drive. You don’t even need to drive a lot of the time. It’s obvious that is a soft berm. Marine construction is not to be taken lightly. Majority of the time it’s done wrong mainly from the lack of knowledge and trained guys. Respect to the effort but Jesus man!

Glad he is ok...he is strong but got tired and slipped...his pile driver must weigh 60 #. He is lucky the rope that is tied to the driver did not get wrapped around him and drowned him in the 6 feet of water!

Too bad there aren’t young, muscular boys, who you could hire for a tiny fraction of the cost of a hernia repair.
