those shields separating Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Maul was actually a really smart way to convey the characters personalities visually, Maul is pacing back and forth across the shield like a lion or big cat stalks someone when separated by a fence-it shows him as a predatory creature, Qui-Gon sits down and waits calmly for the shields to shut down-displaying his patience, Obi-Wan stands in front of the shield, tense and ready to get back into action-showing his impatience
So, what, it was just added in the movie for no reason? There's always been very subtle things that convey a bigger meaning in film, not just Star Wars.

I hate that trailers got replaced by Teasers for the trailers. Now we have teasers for teasers for trailers. Why cant we go back to Trailers being the big drop.
28:46, Burnie: Did you ever see that ... it's one of the weirdest movies that came out in the last two years, it was kinda... I don't think Burnie ever came back around to this.
I still remember when Nathan, Ben, and Monty were part of the OG company crew (Kara and Arryn as well for the later crew). Sad to see Tyler leave, but wherever he goes I'm sure he'll do great.
The new lion king is “live action” because the scenery is real, it’s just the characters who are CG. I guess technically you could call it “live action hybrid” or something. What’s interesting is that Disney tried this method in the 2000s with the movie “Dinosaur,” but the CG was nowhere close to being convincing enough. Now that CG is so good, it’s a much more convincing mix! It looks great.
Saying the remake is "Live Action" is the easiest way to explain to someone how it's animation style is different from the original. It's all CGI, yes, but it's so much more realistically done that it might as well be live action.

I started listening to the podcast from the start in February of 2018. I had hoped I would catch up by the 500th. I didn’t make so thought I could maybe just maybe make it in time for the 10th anniversary. Not more than a few minutes after I did last weeks podcast to catch up the 10th anniversary gets put up.
i watched the first around 350 podcasts then went off RT for like 2?? years and immediately after returning the first thing i see is burnie yelling about a pistachio conspiracy so nothing's changed i guess
I remember back in... 2005-2006(?) I made an account (account is now lost in the void) I met someone who turned out to be 2 years older than me and he went to a different High School in my city. It was really cool yet weird that we came across eachother only to find out we live in the same city.
Speaking of memberships, how much of a cut if anything do you guys get from sites like VRV that host your content? I’ve Ben trying to decide between a first membership and going with VRV
I am the same age as Barb, and I found RT at 15 as well. I don’t think I had an account on the site until like 2008 though. So I missed the glorious bubble of a community that Barb and Gav talk about all the time. Biggest regret. Lol.

What time?
40:10
i hope youre still a fan, keeping with it.
Barbara: If you could go to the moon would you?
Burnie: WHAT'S CORNED BEEF?!?!
Moons haunted.
I laugh every time the podcast starts with burnie yelling.
Thomas Mendenhall yes! Very much like the one about early voting with the water issue!
And Gus continues to calmly read the ad.
Same!

Burnie Burns 2018
Wake up people! you are being deceived. Don't let the world forget that pistachios were once red!
This is burnie being from an alternate universe but he died so now he is in our universe with plain pistachios

rewatching in 2021, this ages very well

Remember my mom and grandma and aunt canning pickles and they put dill in the it. The cucumbers, vinegar and dill are boiled then sealed in the jars.
One of the best podcasts
I honestly forgot the holiday ad at the end, and thought Gus was actually laughing like a maniac!
The classic rt podcast

“Photo-realistic” I feel would be a better description than “live action”
Galym3d3 - the backgrounds are still real though. “Photo-realistic” implies that EVERYTHING is CG!

I love boiled peanuts, but we dont have them in convenience stores, usually people sell them on the street, at the barge. Its a good waiting snack.
