    1. Everyone clapping ... everyone!
    2. His secretary crying
    3. The pride is every faithful's face
    4. His humble acceptance of the applause with joined hands
    5. The deafening silence the moment he called all to prayer
    6. The constant composure in his face, & especially in his voice in the benediction
    Grazie Santita.
Praised be Jesus Christ! Forever, Amen.

A minutes-long applause will never be enough to thank him for his 8 wonderful and fruitful years in papacy. He had many trials but his faith and character rose above those trials and kept him standing firmly for the church and for us 1.1 Billion Catholics around the world.

Pope Benedict is a great gift to the Church, to all of us from God when we most need a great saint, a giant of a teacher, a Vicar of Christ, like the Lord, meek and humble of heart. Seeing him, we see Christ.

I really miss you Pope Benedict. After all scandals revealed lately and the reasons behind why you left the pontificate, it just makes me even more sad to imagine the struggles you were facing alone and fighthing the church mafias. He is without peer as a theologian in this generation. He tried to retire twice as a Cardinal, then he reluctantly accepted the election as Bishop of Rome. We will miss you, Pope Benedict XVI. You have been a great shepherd these past eight years! Thank you for believing in the young people, and for welcoming back more orthodox elements of our faith - amen!

Those who judge would do well to judge themselves first before resorting to false and unfair accusations against the Vicar of Christ, servant of the servants of God! After the death of our magnificent JP2 I was worried about the election of a new POPE. I was nervous cause I've been reading prophecy books for yrs. and am familiar about St. Malachy's prophecy concerning the last Pope. When Cardinal Ratzinger walked out to greet "his new flock" my heart just smiled and smiled and I knew we were all in good HANDS. GOD bless you greatly POPE BENEDICT.

This is the real Vatican, made up of cardinals who love the pope as their spiritual father and brother, and who will defer to the Holy Spirit to choose his successor. It shows the Church as she truly is, not as a political institution based on the will of men, but as the children of God dedicated to carrying out his work in the world. Benedict has done God's will, both in accepting the papacy and in resigning from it. He has put the good of others before his own and so deserves applause.

THE POPE KNEW THAT BUT WHAT CAN HE DO? TELL THEM THAT IT WAS WRONG TO DO SO? WHEN A POPE SAYS MASS, HE HAS A VERY CAREFUL MIND AND THOUGHT LEST HE MIGHT OFFEND THE FEELINGS OF SOME PERSONS WHO WERE CLAPPING IN THE MASS. SO HE DID THE BEST BY JUST THANKING THEM. HE KNOWS THAT HE DIDN'T DESERVE ANY OF THAT BECAUSE HE IS A HUMBLE MAN. HE KEPT IN A PRAYING POSITION ALL THE WHILE AND HE HAD ONLY A SMILE. TRUST ME, HE KNOWS THAT THOSE APPLAUSE ARE DEDICATED TO GOD BECAUSE OF THE POPE HE GAVE TO US.

You should be proud of him. He, more than anyone else understood and got to grips with the scandal of sex abuse in the church. He cleaned it out and got blamed for the very thing which he was so vehemently against. His final act - his resignation - is a completion of this work. When Benedict resigns, the Curia has to resign with him and be re-appointed and it will remove those at the top who have been responsible for so much wrong-doing and disgrace. God bless Benedict and his successor.

Our Lady’s words are structured on the promise of Proverbs 16:7: the “conversion” of Russia does not mean the conversion of the nation to the Catholic Faith, but rather the conversion of a persecuting enemy (Russia) to a certain period of peace. We will see exactly what this means as we go along, and that the evidence from the message of Fatima bears this out.

Pope Pius XII, Sacro Vergente Anno (Apostolic Letter), July 7, 1952: “…just as a few years ago We consecrated the entire human race to the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary, Mother of God, so today We consecrate and in a most special manner We entrust all the peoples of Russia to this Immaculate Heart…”
Thus, it is an undeniable fact that Pope Pius XII specifically consecrated Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Proverbs 16:7, Almighty God Himself uses the word “conversion” not to mean a conversion to the true Faith, but the conversion of a persecuting enemy to peace (i.e. to a cessation of his persecuting ways). Proverbs 16:7- “When the ways of man shall please the Lord, He will convert even his enemies to peace.” In fact, what is striking is that Our Lady’s words of July 13 appear to be structured on Proverbs 16:7: in the context of both, conversion is immediately linked with peace,
