- Del Valle Regional Park is located about 10 miles south of Livermore, Ca. Situated right at the bottom of the valley floor is a beautiful 5 mile long lake. There is over 30+ single track trail options, with fire roads linking everything together. I parked on Del Valle road, Which sits on top of the valley facing south. Parking is free and there is plenty of space you just have to park up on the shoulder. Like I mentioned in the video, there is camping options but it closes for the winter months, I recommend a biking/camping trip, it's a hoot. Lastly, please bring adequate water with you there is not a lot of shade and you will be climbing some steep fire roads! Most of these trails are on the intermediate side of things, you'll find some really steep sections with a decent amount of trail exposure in spots. Nothing overly technical but a great place for all skill levels to enjoy. Now get outside and ride your damn bike! Seriously, go!

ooh, Fellow marin rider, I ride quite a bit too, But it is a shame i am only 12, and do not know of enough trails other than the tipical ones everyone knows about, So it makes me very happy when i see your videos that tell me exactly where I can find cool trails near me, thanks for supporting mtb, and making great content!
Thanks! That’s why i make these videos. Keep riding & having fun 🤙
@@JakeSpeakman Thanks for the reply! no other mtb youtubers have ever responded to my Comments, Just a question, do you know where I can find trails like hunt camp, or splitrock?, Because For about 3 years i have been trying to go find them out on Pine mountain, But it's so big out there.
Del valle really is a gem. I took your advice and camped with my wife and dog, rode a ton and had a blast. Great rec! keep the vids coming!
Thanks! That’s what i like to hear! Glad you had fun 😎
I think the black diamond rating is mostly because of how steep they are in some sections. Great video! Glad you hit mystery trail, it's one of the best at Del Valle!
Yep, i agree with that. Mystery Trail was excellent! Thanks for tuning in 🤙
What a timing! I have a plan to go riding there tomorrow. Great ride and it's good to see the trail conditions. Thank you!
Have fun!! What trails are you planning on riding? You gotta hit Mystery trail ! 😎
@@JakeSpeakmanThank you! It's my 1st visit as well. Exciting. I have checked if my route includes the Mystery and yes! 😉
@@sulsjMystery Trail was my favorite!
@@JakeSpeakman Yeh looks joyful! Many riders love Chutes&Splatters. Try the trail next time if you didn't.
Awesome, thanks for the detailed ride, this place is very high on my bucket list for this year.
Right on! Thanks for tuning in 😎
Excellent video!
Thank you!
Putting this on the list to hit before the end of the year. Great video
Thanks Joaquin! You’ll love it 😎
Nothing wrong with two cameras. You could mount your old one for a rider perspective. Those trails look like lots of fun and exercise. Thank you for the footage.
Thanks! Yeah, that’s something I’ve wanted to try!
Looks like a bigger and better Calero tbh
Never heard of Calero but i’ll take your word for it
@@JakeSpeakman hahah, it's a decent trail in the South Bay. Very chill, nothing crazy. If you do go, go up to peaks. Fun ride down
@@mnmz6934Will do! 😎
Ahh another Petaluma rider. Good video(s).
Thanks! 😎
Good stuff man. Just subscribed!!!
Thanks man!! 👊
Wow, personally i like the footage. Been eye'ing an action camera as well, but always get caught on Dji vs Go Pro videos, good that you have not had any issues. And the GP12 + max2 footage looks awesome too
Yeah, I really liked how the footage turned out. Glad you liked it too! Yeah, the GP12 + M2 might be a Christmas present to myself 😁
badass
Thanks! 😎
@@JakeSpeakman i use to ride those trails
You should check out Augustine Bernal park trail in Pleasanton ridge it’s really good this time of year
Will do, thanks!
Its a great place to ride. Glad you enjoyed it. Just wish the names of trails weren't out there.
Thanks Todd!
bro that's looking like a beautiful ride I'm going to have to do. from San Francisco it will take 2 hours or so I think. ya, it's hella hot down there
It’s a blast, you should do it! This is the time of year to go my man.
Funny how trail fork’s names are totally different than what us locals call them. Good vid.
Thanks! Yeah, I’ve noticed that ha.
You should ride Boggs Mountain in Lake County…..outside of Middletown.
It’s on the list!
Thanks for sharing!
Im new to riding and was wondering what type of bike do you recommend for a trail like this?
If you’re new I’d recommend starting out on a hardtail (front suspension) most trails at Del Valle can be ridden with a hardtail. Have fun!
Jake, can you recommend what are the best beginner trails at Del Valle? All the videos make Del Valle look like a blast, but, for instance, I was watching a video earlier on Chutes & Splatters and the guy was saying, while it looked easy, the descents were a lot steeper than the video made them look. So, for someone starting who might be white-knuckling a bit, what trails would you recommend to have fun, learn but also not take on too much risk to life & limb (hey, I know that the risk is part of what makes it fun, but trying to keep it within reason for the skill level). TIA.
Hey Tony, thanks for reaching out. I understand trail ratings are subjective but i found Del Valle to be a bit more on the mellow side. I took my wife to Del Valle once and she was able to ride a lot of the green trails & a few of the blues even. The fire roads will be a test even for a fit rider after a full day. Do you use Trailforks?
@@JakeSpeakman Yes, I do.
A word on pronunciation. It's Del Vah Yay. That's how it's pronounced in Spanish, the native language. Del Vah Yay. Double L's = Y.
👍
are ebikes allowed there?
I think so? I saw 1 or 2 Ebikers when i last rode there back in November.
Coyote's??? What about Crackheads??😂😂😂
