I’m so interested in starting the surgical tech program . Watching your video is an inspiration for me as a black woman. I currently work as a doula and newborn specialist
I can’t wait to see your first assisting journey! I just started a central sterile processing program so I can get my foot in the door for a hospital while I get ready for surgical tech school 😊.
I am Esthetician starting school for surgical tech in January I think it’s great decision for me I am 44 already my daughter just finish surgical tech and I’m going to same school I am so excited😂❤
Thank you so much for posting these videos! I have been considering going to school to become a surgical tech and your videos are incredibly helpful, I have been binging them lately 💕
I want to do this so bad! I'm just so nervous about being new. I've heard horror stories about nurses and surgeons being so mean :( But there's a community college program near me that offers a surgical tech program that I'm looking into.
I graduated in 2023, and have been working toward my certification for the past year because of some life hiccups….. do you have any tips or tricks for studying/preparing for the nbstsa exam? Thank you for making this channel!!
I’ve been a tech for 36 years. General, ortho, OBGYN, urology, eyes, and endo. Best decision I ever made. AST needs to promote our careers more. They have been completely useless to us. $80 a year for a useless magazine. Schools can’t even get students anymore so now hospital systems are training their own. You can’t get CEU’s without belonging to AST so it’s a monopoly. If I could lawyer I would.
I'm 19 years old and I have focal epilepsy and I've always wanted to work in the medical field but I was always worried about the stress/hours and how it would affect my seizures. I just recently found out about surgical techs and I think this may be the path for me. I've always wanted to work in the OR for some reason lol it always interested me but I'm curious is it stressful? I just applied to college and may be starting soon but I'm so worried about my epilepsy. I loved ur vid💕

Hey Sheree, I’m 17 hoping to graduate my high school on 2025! My aim is to be a plastic surgeon but somehow it takes a plenty of time and years to get into it! But I’m interested to see your channel and your job as a Surgical tech is Amazing and fascinating to me, Can you give me some tips like Which course, Universities and other info?? Btw your vids are so cool and aesthetic. ❤
I am in my first semester of Surg Tech school and I watched you before I even applied for the program. Thank you for sharing your day in the life content. I do have one question? how do you film without contaminating? I'm so curious lol
I love your videos, very inspiring❤. I start surgical tech school in November and have so many questions. Do you like working in plastic surgery ? have you ever worked in a hospital ? If so what do you prefer for beginners? I was also wondering , are we allowed to wear long sleeves in the OR ?

Hi there, your first step would be to look for schools in your area. go to fortheloveofsurgery.com it has tons of information on how to get started.
I am in my first semester of Surg Tech school and I watched you before I even applied for the program. Thank you for sharing your day in the life content. I do have one question? how do you film without contaminating? I'm so curious lol
Thanks for watching. Filming doesn’t affect sterility, my phone isn’t near the field
@@LifeWithSheree thanks for explaining
I’m a endoscopy technician and I find being a surgical technician really interesting what are the credentials? You need to become one ?
So which field do you like better specialized or general surgery? And which pays better?
@@yakeannarose9137 I prefer private vs hospital

Thank you! Yes I love plastics and I worked at a hospital for 2 years. I recommend starting at a hospital first. You can’t wear long sleeves.
Please how did you start this journey.

How many hours of your shift would you say that your standing for?
Depends on the case let’s say I have a facelift it’s about 4-5 hours for that one case
