I'm very excited about this game. So much potential and I love the Kurrgan ships, I'm printing a Heavy Cruiser right now at 150% as my first and capital ship
I've printed 3 ships per side now (Heavy Cruiser, Destroyer and Frigate) for starter fleets. Now printing up some asteroids and tokens etc, ready for a first learning game. Everything that's not a ship I've been printing at 0.2mm layers just to get them done faster - those large asteroids are no joke!!!
Hey! I just bought the game today, then I found this video 😀 Two more factions/fleets will be released in 2025. I hope this sells well and they can support it further. It just needs some more lore, tbh.
They've already released the first 2 expansions, which I did buy immediately - I'm accumulating files quicker than I can print and paint them! Got a pair of small fleets now so I'll do a better video of my thoughts on the rules sometime - looking forward to having some new factions though!
They definitely print well - I needed a BRIM for the small pieces like the ship bottom connectors and the base poles, but the ships themselves are doing fine with no kind of support at all
@@CategorySoloI started printing the minis yesterday, they come out very well with the suggested parameters. In the assembly guide it says you should print all things with a brim. Really excited to play my first game.
I have been a longtime follower of Fat Dragon Games since their early paper terrain days. I'm really excited to try this new game, and I can't wait for the expansions that have been teased!
I have a 200mm x 200mm build plate, and I had no problem printing multiple ships at once. The single largest model is a piece of asteroid terrain - but that's not required, you could easily make terrain the old-fashioned way. Even if you had a small 100mm x 100mm build plate you could still print full size ships easily
@andyalton1649 you'll be fine printing off all the ships and counters, just the larger terrain and ruler might be an issue. Like I said, DIY asteroid terrain from foam/paper mache etc would be fine, and the ruler just measures inches so you could use anything else
This is like "the next step" past TRUE (full riles/scenarios/etc) 100% free Ravenfeast (Dark Ages, historical with optional magic/fantasy, works from pre-bronze age to late pre-gunpowder) / Ruthless (Western Cowboy, works early gunpowder to pre-tank/plane WW1). I wish there was a true (no paid advanced rules/etc) 100% free future land & sea/space
F.A.D is a nice looking free ruleset for scifi ground battles, but I've never found anything that really combines the land and space in a satisfying way
As a former Armada player with an FDM printer, this is right up my alley :)
If you've already got a printer, the cost of entry is definitely worth it!
Can also use them with Void Admiral, another simple ruleset
I'd not heard of Void Admiral, another one to check out!

@@CategorySoloLook forward to seeing more on this.
@swaminic now the holidays are out of the way, I almost have the table back to give it a real play!
The robots (borg analog) ... are coming (oh no... or oh yeah!?), and then Pointed Ear Sneaks (if rumors are true)
@@jeffreywitty3088 I'm okay with the robots but the Pointed Ear Sneaks certainly get an "oh yeah" from me! 👍
Its a very good game and the miniatures print flawless.

@arnhelmkrausson8445 my table is a bit on the smaller side, so I'm tempted to print at 75%

It's definitely good that they've already teased a few expansions - hopefully, they'll support the game beyond those too!
What size build plate do you need to print these off.?

That's good to know as the build plate size I have is only 100 x 100 x 100mm..

What's the diameter of the bases?
They're just a little bit over 5 cm/2 inches
