Nice to have a peek inside your process.
Kesh your awesome
Kesh !!
I am your biggest fan.
I had a feeling you'd be here,😐
You here ?
Keshhhh
Even I am not a English speaker, but your voice is really clear to make me understand, thanks a lot.
That's why the audio is so important.
Thank you, Brad for making this video. Tons of small details adding up to a really streamlined and efficient process.
This was the best video I’ve seen so far in regards to tips and workflow for animated shorts.
I'm just getting into animation after two decades in professional graphic design. Thanks for sharing this, especially at an entry level!
I really would love if you made speed animating videos. It's just something I love watching.
Bananamaaghhhhhh
Astana : what?
Inspiring stuff. Am just starting out so am trying to figure out what I need and trying to get a feel of what I have to read up on... Thanks a million for the vid...u rock
this is the video that i found in the UA-cam that is actually helpful for a newbie. i know how to animate but i always be confused how to make a storytime video. you clear my confusion. thank you so much for this awesome video.
Dude, you are awesome! I like the simplicity of your artwork. It really resonates with me.
glad i stayed to the end, that tip on your bitrate of audio is a diamond! Easily an important setting I missed. Looking forward to more. Thanks.
Very efficient workflow. Thanks for sharing.
inspiring tutorial. I personally can't wait to try Adobe animate again after seeing how effiecently you use it. :)
Insightful, as usual. Thanx Brad!
Thank you so much for this Brad!
So helpful to see such a streamlined process
Boy this takes me back to the early 2000's when I was using actionscript 2 and 3 to create website and motion graphics.
Nice video! It's really interesting how Flash has evolved. I started working with Macromedia Flash when it was primarily an animation program. Then it creeped into a Web platform where you could build an entire site within the container. Then it died. Then it cam back as Animate as an animation program. But now you can export your interactive animations with JavaScript/HTML5 into an in a website again. Amazing tool.
I like your drawing style! And your explanation is very clear and easy to understand :)
This is a great behind-the-scenes look at other animators workflows! An easy alternative for storyboarding that I actually just found out about a few months ago is called Storyboarder. It's open source and is compatible with photoshop as well.
Just checked out this tool and it is completely mind blowing! i can't believe I never heard of it. Thank you so much
thank you so much! ive been wanting to start my own thing for a while and this tutorial really helped!!
wow, thanks for this information... I am starting an animation channel also, and I really don't know how to create things properly yet. Thank you for your content I was able to learn from you.
Brad, thank you for sharing your overview ,,, thumbs up!
This was great for someone who’s clueless and wants to get started wit Animate, thanks alot!
Awesome. Learned a lot looking at this!
Cool! I like your animation style. Very engaging. Thanks for sharing.
Really interesting and informative. Thank you.
Hey! This was really helpful, as an artist I've not used Animate (or Flash MX as it was when I used it) in such a long time, you reminded me about a few of the little things, as I was genuinely wanting to get into animation again for youtube but wasn't sure where to start, I couldn't remember the name of the tweens but that has taken me back, so hopefully I can get to work and make use of my graphic tablet :D
Dude, thank you SOO much! 🙌
Thankyou! I love your videos, very inspiring and helpful...and funny!
Funny thing, I have the same process, I just haven’t done anything. 😔 Procrastination is destructive my friend, do not succumb. ☺️ Anyways Great video. thank you for the motivation
Love your videos bro
Woohoo! I really needed this! Thanks Brad, your content is as helpful as always! Now I can actually make my own animated content on my channel (not this account)
Nice! good luck!
well made explanatory video, very helpful.
Makes me want to try!
This right here, this good!!! No but seriously, this is awesome! I wanted to do animation for a while, but I'm still trying to hone my artistic skills...
Excellent! Keep it up!
Great tipps and tricks in there. thank you for sharing. :)
Awsome video Brad, cool to see your workflow. Check out the Frame Picker panel in Animate for lip Syncing and choosing different body parts.
I’ll have to check 2that out. Thanks!
I really like your videos.
Making me want to get into making some animations!
Awesome!!!
Why does Adobe insist on advertising on videos on how to use Adobe???? I already have Adobe. That's why I'm watching this video!
oh man... I think i'm going to have to learn how to draw before I do animation.
You deserve tons of subs man
awesome!!
Great work! Thanks for the play by play of your work flow.
This is pretty amazing! Thanks so much! Do you draw all the animations in Animate as well or do you use procreate? Sorry if I did not catch that in the video!
fkn cool, thank you for sharing this !!
Nice
Awesome channel! Glad I found you! I'm just wondering... how long, on average, does it take you to create a new video top to bottom? Thanks! Keep up the great work!
Omg! So much work! I give up.
Hi Brad! Thanks for sharing this video, it was very helpful. I have a question though, as you always reviewing and working with pen displays...how come you are using in this particular video a pen tablet? Is it better for animation?
I love this video and what type of computer are you using
You should check out key frame cadey for lip sinking in flash
Steve Harpster Or even the built in framepicker in Animate CC.
I just made an animation but I used illustrator, photoshop, imovie and pencil2d (took forever) but this looks way easier using adobe animate. I'm considering a surface tablet after trolling your videos lol thanks
I'm late to the party commenting here, but this is a great video. Thanks for sharing your process, very helpful.
2:06 Only I saw on the bottom left side of the screen there is a file called black like my soul.png
Very Educative Video. I so much enjoy your Videos. Keep it up.
Please Can You make a Video on How to Create Cartoon Digital Story Telling with few characters using Adobe Animate or Adobe After Effects
?
Hi Brad, i really like your comics its really awesome. Can you please tell me how do you get the Boil Effect (titles and characters) ? Its from Adobe animate or in the last step with After effect ?
You should watch a video on the frame picker in Animate, it is easier than having a lot of symbols
How you create that wiggle effect similar to red bull ad?
Have you draw two or more frames and apply loop playback?
You can use Audacity to record and remove the background noise and alot of other features
You sound so proud
Hey Brad, are you ever going to do a sketchbook tour? Would be really cool to see
You would probably be disappointed :)
My sketchbook is a mess and often more words and scribbles than real sketches. I might do a brief one in a Q&A sometime.
Well a lot of what you do is design, so writing notes is important! I say the messier the sketchbook, the better!
(but the q&a thing is a good idea)
You can have all your mouths in one symbol and use frame picker which lets you choose your mouth you want in the frame instead of having to drag it in
download keyframe caddy for your lipsynch and instant switching of symbol, Also Swivel for your rendering. very dope content you post for us here I appreciate
Great video of all the process, but how do I make the pop in and out animation in the 7:16 minute? already know its a classic tween but how I do it lol
Reaper is a great digital audio workstation which is basically "free" (you can evaluate for ever) and it comes with a lot of plugins like eq, compressor, reverb, noise reduction
all you did was great but can you go deep to audio? i dont know how to put audio also i want another program for voice editing
You can use Adobe audition for audio editing
Brad please give a Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop drawing lesson ☺️
Hi Brad - really great to see your workflow and hear what is going in in your head. I am trying to get away for the CC subscription and was wondering if you could recommend an alternative to Animate?
BTW, really love your Affinity Designer Crash Course!
The only one I know of is called Toon Boom. It looks cool but also has a monthly subscription. I think it’s around 20 or $25 a month.
Check out Anime Studio/Moho.
Thanks Jamal
❤️
@Brad Colbow For your workflow, do you prefer using a Wacom tablet as opposed to something like a Cintiq? If it ran smoothly, would you prefer to do all of this on something like a Surface Book, so you could use the stylus on the screen? I admit that the Wacom tablets have a nuance that even the iPad Pro/Pencil can't get with. But there's that disconnect of looking at a screen while using a tablet below. Kinda like touch-typing for drawing. haha.
Yeah, I do prefer to use a screen based tablet. It takes time getting used to the other ones but a lot of artists prefer the no-screen tablets. It comes down to personal preference.
13:03 Exportando vídeo com qualidade
09:20 Fazendo o texto se mexer igual todos os canais fazem.
Can you please give us tips on exporting videos. The videos I export are soooo huge; like 350mb for just 5secs
Man where were you when I was at animation school. Instead I got Mrs rabbit from pepper pig. (no really Sarah was my tutor... Yes it's been odd hearing her voice when my godson watches the cartoon)
welcome to the storytime community
You should try Twomon USB is an app that should let you use a android tablet as a second monitor or mirror your display and you should be able to draw with it
Roughly how long does a video take to finish? What is the estimated amount of personal time would you say goes into one video?
Whats the list of main poses that you have premade
Dude how can u import mp3 or other audio files into actionscript 3 for me it only lets me import ogg vorbis files it doesnt even let me import images i dont know how to fix it can u please help

Finally!🤓🤓🤓
Haha, yeah, got a lot of requests for this one.
what font do you use?
“Black like my soul.png” OH MA GOD ME!
I can animate in animate cc, i just dont know how to mix audio with it
Can you make an Adobe Animate animation tutorial on Udemy? I would definitely buy.
So.... Flash ain't dead it seems ;)
"Specially if I try to be funny..."
how to switch from one scene to another anytime and with ease?
How long does it take to make one of these videos? On average?
You've talked about the hp zbook x2 8 months ago, but still no reviews about it. Have you tried it or not yet?
I would like to try it but It a little to expensive for me to outright buy right now and I haven't been successful in getting anyone at HP to take me seriously yet :)
I hope @HP get this message 😁
The audio sounds kind of weird at 2:30.
Oh wow, that is weird... but also kinda cool
Yeah, I thought it was on purpose, like playing both channels separately.
Best software for crating animation
Plz tell me
Adobe animate
3:47
I can’t find adobe animate on my Microsoft surface pro 2017
You have to buy that
My son is learning Animate CC in school. I have worked with most of Adobe products, ie; Aftereffects, AI, PR. but not this one but when my son first show me the interface the first thing I noticed was the timeline was on the top. I said to my son you may want to move the time line to the bottom because AE and PR and most Apps have the timeline on the bottom. glad to see someone else did it. thebullyexposed.com
1:50 Black like my soul 😂
