In 1980s,I heard his records in China. I was very impressed by his French graceful style. To my surprise, he played this concertos with Mehta. Thanks for uploading,which gives me a chance to understand more about a great musician.
Fantastic pianism! I am so glad I got to hear a recording of him playing the whole piece. I had a DVD of him playing only the 1st movt before. BRAVO!!!
I am from Napoli, I took a few piano lessons from Aldo Ciccolini, he used to give lessons at the music room "Ciccolini" in Napoli. I respect him very much. I also met him in Amsterdam where he was giving a concert recital in the concert hall.

Il s'est seulement rendu compte que s'il continuait à jouer les concertos de Prokofief 1, 2 et 3 et de Rachmaninoff 1, 2 et 3 pendant vingt ans il risquait des problèmes articulaires... Malgré des moyens hallucinants il n'était pas à l'abri... Il a donc privilégié la longévité. Je lui en suis infiniment reconnaissant. Témoignage de première main...
