Cool to hear you seen Black Flag, Misfits & Samhain live in concert. What's your thoughts about Misfits reuniting recently? I hope they release a new album.
I saw some video of the Misfits live at Madison Square Gardens. They sounded really good but it looked like a KISS concert. Nothing like when I saw them but I think it would be a great show.
I have a ton of early Misfits but never got Walk Among Us. I should fix that sometime. I made the mistake of asking for Earth AD for Xmas from my very Christian parents... Haha. Still got it tho. Regretfully sold my Misfits box set 10 years ago. Cheers
I never got the Misfits box set. I wish I would have. Thanks for watching.
Static Age was my favorite of the Misfits albums, though Walk Among Us is right there. Maybe because Static Age was where I got into the band. I'm kicking myself over my Samhain albums. I bought them all when I first got into Samhain in the early 90s, the sold them number of years back because I just lost interest in the Samhain sound. No I would like them back and the prices have gone crazy!
I wonder why Danzig has not reissued them. Thanks for watching. I’ll be checking out some RSD videos today.
@@vinylrichie007 Who knows. He owns the rights to the Samhain, and all the Danzigs from after the first 4 and hasn't represses anything. I'm really surprised that American hasn't released the first 4. There must be some issue between Ruben and Danzig, which would be no surprise considering Danzig is one of those parties.
The Samhain show was at the Stardust Ballroom
Yes that is the name. Thanks for watching.
Hi Richie, did you ever see the episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force where Danzig is swimming in Carl's pool and it's full of blood? Hilarious. I agree, when those albums were originally coming out, that band was nowhere near as huge as they are now. I find it quite astonishing.
I’ve never watched Aqua Teen Hunger Force. When I saw The Misfits the first time I don’t think there were a hundred people there.
Have you seen the Glen and Henry books. They are hilarious.
@@vinylrichie007 I haven't seen them, but I think I might need to now!
@@jpesack They are cartoons and different illustrations of Henry Rollins and Glen Danzig. Glen and Henry are a gay couple. Hall and Oates are their next door neighbors.
I had an orig copy of beware and earth ad wolfs blood sold them for peanuts.Beware now sells for hundreds
They do fetch a lot of money now.
Awesome
Thanks for watching.
Static Age was the 1st record....
from '78. They couldn't get it released so they shelved it & moved on.
Static Age was the first recordings but not the first record.
@@vinylrichie007 yeah, but like i said, it was suppose to be, but they couldn't get it released so they shelved it & moved on. just put out singles & "EPs" until "walk among us". i also have both MISFITS & SAMHAIN box sets.
Die die my darling is a scary movie trying to be like Bette Davis and Joan Crawford’s whatever happened to baby jane
I’ve never seen it.
Haven't finished but yeah Misfits and Ramones are popular than ever kinda silly in a way but good for them or at least Marky and the misfits .
Wish you would make videos again Helmet
I talked to Keith Morris back in the 90's. He said they were making more from the merchandising at the time then they ever did when they were making records.
Good stuff pat.
Thanks for watching.
I like the misfits but I don’t listen to them much anymore. When I was growing up every band covered them. So I got sick of hearing there songs. I sorta seen them live in the early 2000’s with Jerry Only, Dez Cadena and Marky Ramone.
I've never listened to the later Misfits albums. They sure did have a lot of big names playing on them though.
Boston sucks lol. Pretty sure Joey Ramone mentioned that 😝🏴☠️
Yo Pat....
Hey Bobby
I've never heard a "punk" band change sounds so pronounce-edly change styles and have it all still sound organic....also never heard such a garbage ass recording or playing be so terrible yet so damn good as Evillive....lol....the dates on most of Misfits releases are misleading because the catalog is so convoluted and discombobulated...
Convoluted and discombobulated sums it up quite well.
@@vinylrichie007 I'm w you on that first Danzig being a jumping off point...never been so disappointed by a release..thin weakly recorded band (even though they were solid and competent players) and Glen's vocals had waaaayyyyy too much ego stroking from Rubin...
Thought you went all soft there till 19:31 HA
The softer gentler Richie. I just couldn't hold it in all the way to the end.
ever get the feeling that everything this guy says is inaccurate?
Are you talking about yourself. We wouldn’t know because you have no content.
What guy?
☠
Thanks for watching.
Danzig got knocked the fooked out!!!
Ever see that video?
That is great.
Vinyl rich. I am tired of looking at your Misfits records. They should be ONLY 1st PRESSINGS and nothing less.
Sorry man
Not familiar with any of those bands.
Thanks for watching. The Misfits are huge now.
