This video is great. I remember having doubts about Paul being a Pharisee. This video helps put the doubt aside. Thank you Dr. Brown 👍
Can I ask what lead to your doubt? Did you read an article or see a video or did you just have that surprisingly specific doubt?
thank you Dr Brown for affirming and the defending the Biblical scriptures'
Dr. Brown, these responses are soo important for us, for ppl seeking the truth!!! It is easy to be swayed if you arnt as studied. Thank you so much.
YES AGREED, sooo IMPORTANT for us in our day and the coming generation! THANK YOU!
Hi from Brazil! Thank you Dr. Brown! May G-d bless your ministry!
@José Riquelme and stop using the name of God in vain.
@José Riquelme so it’s ok to use the word “God” that refers to the Almighty as a curse word? Are you saying that you can freely use “God” in vain or in derogatory use just because that’s not God’s covenant name? Truly, let me know your thoughts..

Thank you for this excellent response, Dr. Brown!
Thanks Dr Brown. Both sceptics, Jews and Muslims all want to get rid of Paul because He made such powerful arguments for Christianity.
Actually show proof with the biblical axiom by the mouth of two or three witnesses Paul saw the risen messiah?
@@yochanan5506 He went to the other close followers of Yeshua to present to them His experience and the doctrine that he had received from the Lord and they confirmed both his description of Messiah and that the message he received was the same one that was entrusted to them.
Now please answer me concerning the seventy weeks of Daniel 9 whereby the prophet Daniel gave a very specific prophecy regarding the time that the Messiah would be revealed. Using this prophecy and the testimony of Nehemiah who received from Artaxerxes the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem, it is clear that this prophecy was fulfilled during the ministry of Yeshua precisely. Why do Orthodox Jews ignore this?

@@yochanan5506 I don't see why that discredits anything that was written. Besides we could ask using the same criteria who are the witnesses that can verify if God appeared to Moses in a burning bush.
Yes before 70 he would have mentioned the destruction of the temple in jerusalem

Thank you Dr Brown for another brilliant video. It was interesting to find out how Rabbi Emden viewed Paul, and that he affirmed that Paul studied under Gamaliel.
You misunderstood dr brown's point. Emden lived in the end of the 1600s and beginning of 1700s., 1600-1700 years after Jesus so he doesn't "affirm". But it does make the point, that there are orthodox jewish views as such.
I know that he came 1600-1700 years after Paul. He stated publicly in his writings that Paul was a student of Gamaliel. That is what it means to affirm.
@@AaronOfJerusalemAndAthens okay I guess I was reading it as confirm!
Just watched Rabbi Singer's video today and I needed this response.
🌻ASKDr.Brown "Rabbi Singer"🌻 always appreciate your commentary🌟 Listening from Mass USA🌟 Hello everyone on UTube "
You should adress the prince in Ezekiel who makes sacrifices in the "kingdom". Tovia loves that.
The book of Ezekiel mentions sacrifices that are different than the Torah. Ancient Jews were even thinking about not adding it to the Tanakh because of its contradictions. Also in Ezekiel 45 it changes the Passover sacrifices and God requires a Bull on Passover for a Sin offering, the sin offering is for The Prince himself and also for the whole nation of Israel. Also Ezekiel says that the Prince is David, and God calls Him My Servant. Some believe it’s speaking about the Messiah.
When the Bright Light: iiiIiii Yahshua haMashiach iiiIiii hit and spoke to Shaul on the route to Damascus, Syria, he was never the same! Acts chapter 9
A light 💡 he saw. But the risen LORD he didn’t! From his own testimony Paul disqualified himself from being an apostle!
Acts 1:21-22 “Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have been with us the whole time the Lord Jesus was living among us, beginning from John's baptism to the time when Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection."
@José Riquelmeone man testimony it’s invalid!
@José Riquelme anything you bring to the discussion is irrelevant.
Paul saw a light! Not the risen messiah. There was no other witnesses with him who can confirm that he even saw a light! Only 2 men which have no name that paul himself mentioned in his first testimony in acts!
@José Riquelme my response gets deleted every time I post it.

Tovia Singer needs to stop Ducking Dr Brown and debate him
He will lose again. So, he hides. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Dr. Brown destroyed Mr. Tovia.

If Acts was written in 85-90 AD, then it would include the deaths of the Apostles and the destruction of Jerusalem.
Indeed, so it was earlier, it records only the death of James.
Forget the debate already, I just want Dr. Brown and Singer to have a WWE wrestling match. Winner takes all.
I would hate to debate you. Always on point historically and logically consistent.
Interesting.
Obviously, Paul wasn't a pharisee abd his silence isn't the only argument against that. But, I'm glad to know that the arguments against the truth are mainly appeals to authority without any real information or reasoning given.
The only person lying is Rabbi Tovia Singer
I saw that guy post on James White channel a few days ago attacking you. I have been waiting for your response. Thanks
I have a tremendous problem with the xtian belief specifically Presbyterian and Calvinism which holds by pre destination, it implies it’s not the merit of a person that saves them, rather one is selected at random
Based on John 6, Ephesians 1, and Romans 9, it certainly isn’t random. It was a an inter-Trinitarian choice in eternity past.

No woder Tovia Zinger will not debate Dr. Brown. I beg those who heard TZ, especially my pecious fellow Jews, to listen to Brown's responses which usually demolishes his arguments with logic and knowledge.
Jesus "Yeshua" Christ is Melech v'melechem, Adonai v' adonaim, and He is a Jew of Jews.
This video is mistitled. Dr Brown doesn't make the argument that Paul was a devout Pharisee. Dr Brown makes the argument that Paul was taught under Gamliel, and that Tovia Singer is wrong in his claim that he doesn't, and that Tovia Singer's argument is ridiculous and inconsistent.
R' Singer's scholarship is not good at all.
Paul was not a liar but he was Independent and perhaps a rebel. Within that side of Paul was a tend toward mysticism. Paul had visions that he took very seriously. He even tells us that he's no longer interested in Jesus of Nazareth, the flesh and blood man from Nazareth but only in the Christ of his visions and his interpretation of the Old Testament.
While the Gospels give us much of what Jesus said, Paul doesn't. For Paul, the real Jesus is the one of his visions.
So, what other rabbis may have called Paul's lies may have been Paul's willingness to go his own way rather than rigidly adhering to tradition.
It's ironic that Evangelicals are so very uncomfortable with Paul's mysticism even though they require a mystical experience.....the getting saved experience, they call it.
But what about Paul's relationship wit Peter and James the brother of Jesus. Being sent by the Jerusalem Church to go preach to the Gentile world. He would have never sent if he was not inline or a heritic. His relationship was on a good foot with the Jerusalem Church when he was imprisoned.
@@renier4415 The relationship between Paul and the Jerusalem church was less one of agreement than it was, "You do your thing with the Gentiles and we'll do ours with the Jews."
Peter even admits that Paul's writings were hard to understand and you can't agree with what you don't understand.
Furthermore Paul had few good things to say about those he terms "so-called apostles" and he certainly had no intention of letting anyone change his Gospel.
Peter's Gospel....what's left of it....can be found in James and in stories like the Separation of the Sheep From the Goats.
Paul was a philosopher-theologian. Peter was neither. Christianity has almost erased Peter's Gospel in favor of Paul's.
Of course there was some agreement between Paul and the Jerusalem church but total agreement was lacking
@@grantsmythe8625 every significant figure in the old and new testament had spiritual experiences that few can relate to.
@@drewwilson6639 That's true but I think you're saying more than your words communicate directly.
Is this your way of saying something about Paul's mysticism and visions?
If so just come on out with it. There's no need for people to fuss and fight Just ordinary discussions can be quite rewarding so....
So what are you really trying to say?
“For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
2 Corinthians 5:14-17 ESV
“And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures.”
2 Peter 3:15-16 ESV
I would be careful with how you interpret either of these apostles. What you’re saying is not true. You either don’t understand the context, or you’re twisting the scriptures as Peter talks about in the quoted passage above. Read the context of 2 Corinthians and you’ll see Paul is not saying what you’re saying. Read Peter and see he’s not saying what you’re saying. And take heed from Peter and don’t twist the scriptures to your own destruction.
How about we deal with the elephant in the room. Singer can't even speak actual English. He barely parts his lips when he talks and sounds like he has a mouth full of non kosher cookie dough. How can we even be sure what the man is saying? I mean before we go any further, shouldn't we get an interpreter first?
I don't like the man either, I think he is manipulative and a liar sometumes, but we shouldn't make fun off him because of anything physical.
We are the light of the world, lets prove it.
