As a Canadian living in a small community just outside of Vancouver my son is one of a handful of black kids in his community. He has experienced racism too and to hear the verdict together he was so happy and I cried. He also said to me " mummy we still have a lot more work to do to make change for us and our Indigenous community." I am so proud of our youth thinking and having these tough discussions that have been silenced for so long. Thank you again Brendan for sharing your videos.

God, I loved this vlog! Ms. Sherrie reminds me of my late grandma, I would often redesign my bedroom and show her my vision board and she would smile and try to understand, then would pick up pieces she found at various flea markets. I still re-listen to the voicemail of her discovering pallets from this random guy near Chicago and saying how awesome it would be to utilize that in my workshop. She was so pumped! This was beautiful and I can tell how much you cherish her, but it is magical that whenever she passes on, there are these pure moments to look back on. I just love you guys, and sorry if this was a sad thing to say, but I am crying happy tears looking at this display.

UK: my daughter is almost 16 and is of mixed race. Due to the pandemic + lockdown, we of course heard of George Floyd. We have had many discussions regarding race and what actually happened to G. Floyd in America. I am of Caribbean descent, so my teen is half English & half black. Sherrie is as graceful + warm as she is stylish. A wonderful family!
