“Liquid Days” lyrics
Oh Round Desire
Oh Red Delight
The River is Blood
The Time is Spent
Love likes me
Love takes it shoes off and sits on the couch
Love has an answer for everything
Love smiles gently...and crosses its legs
well here we are well here we are
Sleep
Sleep
Sleep...Being in Air
Sleep...Turning to speak
Sleep...Losing our Way
Sleep...Pour it all Out
We are old Friends
I offer Love a Beer
Love watches Television
Love needs a bath
Love could use a shave
Love rolls out of the chair and wiggles
on the floor
Jumps Up
I’m Laughing at Love
Drink Me
Drink Me
Drink Me
Drink Me
Drive...Why do You Ask?
Breaths...Still is the Night
Drive...It is much Further
Sleep...Than We Thought
In Liquid Days
Land Travel(s) Hard
Fly Home Daughter
Cover Your Ears

I could watch this every day of my life and never ever get bored. Mesmerising combination of sound and sight.
Me too!
I still don't understand how this has not got more views. It's insanely good.
Delicate and gritty at the same time. Absolutely beautiful. This is a daily dose of joy
Beautiful, I had the pleasure of seeing Anthony in Houston. It was my son's first Opera experience, we loved it. I think this choreography is amazing ! "love has the answer for everything"
why does this not have more views............
because it's not pop music
@@karenelizabeth1590 you mean trash music
This is bloody brilliant
This is transfixing. I don’t think I looked away once.
An amalgamation of many worlds - incredible what humans can do.
A piece of art, indeed
AMAZING!! Philip Glass always surprises. Additionally dance and other artistic voices find a new way to express!!. Thank you!!.
Bellísimo! Émouvant!
I am crying with such joy!
❤
Very impressive moves on this masterpiece of Philip Glass
NPR sent me here. Great job!

At the beginning of the day, this song and dance brought me unlimited joy.
Such glory! Truly a gift!
Очень красивая композиция!Гармония во всём..музыка,пение,танец!Браво!👏👏👏🔥💐💐💐
This is just beautiful. Just beautiful. Thanks for creating this. I call it food for the soul and spirit.
My joy got away from me, but this helps me recognize it again. Your voice is like cleansing water. Rushing waves. Opulent.
❤❤❤
Breathtaking performance to a beloved Glass work of music.
I don't know what is this, but WOW I'm speechless
Wonderful version!
Beautiful. All of it.
Breathtaking...
Wonderful. Exquisite. Both the counter-tenor and dancer are almost soul-shattering, as is the Philip Glass music. Thank you for sharing this.
Wow 😳
DANKE!!!)
Wow. Just wow.
Such a beautiful voice.
Great connection!
This may very well be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Thank you.
Sublime!
Beautiful music and dance!
Beautiful and creative!
Amazing!
Beautiful. I watched Larissa Ponomarenko dance to a train this morning in a video. I assume you know Boston Ballet performed Glass Handel right before your release, I would have been happy to see some overlap other than my undying applause to each. Still can't wait to see Poppea in April. I love your voice.
This Is ART
Anthonys akhnaten performance was art. Especially the window of appearances scene. This is bullshit.
incredible awesome mavellous!!!
This is brilliant
This is amazing.
this is SO GOOD THANK YOU
This rules!
Brilliant
Bravo!
Это удивительно.
Very fluid, he dances really well, rhythms, emotions, creativity, expression
It's also original, musical choice and dance style
The only one chosen which would miss more displacements in space - front back in particular. Sideways movement is very good and interesting, it just lacks a bit of the use of depth that would come from forward/backward movement in this urban environment.
Beautiful singing and dancing. I’m surprised Ron Myles (dancer) is not credited here. Great work, though.
So the dancer is named Ron Myles? Beautiful video, all around!
He's credited... in the credits.
The 93rd best song of 2018 according to NPR
piękne. chapeu bas!
who wrote the lyrics?
David Byrne wrote the lyrics. This is from a collaborative album called “Songs from liquid days”

Aw! its a group of song writers! my ignorance
Great performance of a great song. Pointless dance routine.
Cultural appropriation at his best ?
My real question is : Are they POC working on the video crew except the choregrapher and the dancer ?
Of course I hear already comments saying that Mark Romanek gave to Ron Myles "Miles Yatch " the opportunity to express himself as the amazing dancer he is and the chance to perform in a beautiful David Byrne lyric's song... but does that make it REAL if this video of Philip Glass performed by Anthony Roth Costanzo is just exploiting culture and blackness without any other purpose ?
I have to be honest this song and dance brought me unlimited joy too but can we go further because I was really surprised not to see at the end of the video a message saying: Part of the Proceed of this video will be donate to Compton Dance Theatre Foundation or any other foundation which will makes sense for the director, the artists and the record company UMG Recordings ....probably they did so but are really humble and do not want the public to know.
Maybe they just wanted to make something beautiful, and forget about color to focus on emotion.
I can understand what you're getting at, but this song and video touched me in a way I think you've likely misinterpreted as something else. No idea where appropriation has come from, when without context, the piece and performance is clearly done as an artistic display. The only things I ever consider are the emotion, the passion, and the beauty of art, as is what often drives the artist to compose, perform, and create in the first place.
To label this as any sort of appropriation, defamation, or jab politically or socially is to miss the point entirely, and is imo an insult to the freedom art gives people.
that said have a wonderful day bruv
Reply to Xavier, Yeap I think you miss the point. I enjoyed it immensely, art at it’s highest (in my opinion), and that is the point, to show case talent, creativity, craft and pursue to create beauty. The music, specially, nailed it. That’s what I got from it, no conspiracy theory here (I may wrong?).
