I loved me the Oregon Duck Womens track team back then… Big fan of Lilli Burden, I loved watching her race at Oregon.. We went there at the same time…I wanted to meet her but was way too shy
@@robertrozel7045 They also didn't seem to know who Elise Cranny was, the Stanford runner, who is now a world record and american record holder in various events, so shouldn't have flown under the radar. I'm just trying to be understanding because Cranny and Jones were like 7-9th place until the last couple of laps. Until the last laps the commentary was alright, trying to mention some of the runners and their accomplishments, etc. Not really sure why they didn't have notes on all the runners in the race, though.
Elise made a great move at 11:52 on the turn and down the backstretch to come in from the back of that group and position herself for the kick, but she needed to take the lead on the home stretch going into the bell lap I think. Too much work to pass on a turn during the last lap.

Overall the commentators did a nice job, but they completely missed that insane kick by Dani Jones over the last two laps.
Thanks for mentioning who the great runner from Colorado was - didn't hear it from the commentators - can't agree that they did a nice job.
