I love how Nux has gotten himself into a deep dive of South Park, that he is slowly becoming a South Park channel. Soon there will be a day where Nux will become a full on South Park channel, and then BECOME one with South Park
It's like Dr Jordan Peterson and his flirtation with Christianity. He's too much of a big thinker and is afraid of the implications. Holds it to a high regard, but doesn't go any further.
honestly i don't know that parodied show, but i still got the "such-type-of-documentary" joke and the whole gap between the overly dramatic narrator and the kid's dreadfuly mundane group tour experience
There was quite a bit of fan division when they changed up their episodes from being stand alone to a season long arc in 2014-2015 range when the pc principle era began.
I genuinely didn't realize this episode was divisive at all. I always liked it because it was unique and broke the structure of normal episodes. I guess it helps that I knew about the show it was parodying, but even if I didn't, I love that the boys are so absurdly bored at the sheer mundane nature of something like guided tours, that it is literal hell for them. A lot of South Park episodes wind up bleeding together, so I like that this one stands out. It's a nice change of pace from their usual formula
Me: *Gets melee kill* The LT employee: *Shocked* Also Me: "What? You never said we couldn't do that, just no running, jumping, or covering the sensor. You said nothing of using of Finishers."
@@yourcommentisntfunnyv2709 its fire if your with the same age group as yourself, if your with like older people or people who don’t speak your language its pretty boring
Depends on where you are. Most are exactly like how South Park shows it. Some are cooler. I went to an adventure park in Mexico. The zips are 100 feet up and go over through different waterfalls, caves, if was actually pretty cool, but yeah, most experiences aren't the best.
I've never been ziplining nor have I seen the show this episode is a parody of, but I still love this episode of South Park, even though I can't relate to literally any part of it. And it's not the gross out humor that sold me on it, because that's actually my least favorite part of the episode, especially in the live action segment.
This show has so much hate because it's heavily misunderstood. I guess some people didn't understand that the "Based On A True Story" wasn't ENTIRELY a joke.
I remember when I was 12 or 13 they built a zipline in my town's football field for a day (it was a big place so the players were able to train) and they combined it with rock climbing, long story short if you wanted to zipline you had to rock climb first, it was actually more exciting than this episode
I went ziplining in the jungle in Costa Rica. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Largely because it had way less waiting and safety involved.
I did go on a tour guide where the guide told us the history of the trees around us. I said to my mom it was the most boring thing I'd ever heard "well some people like to know this stuff". I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had to suffer through something like that.
The Ziplining episode was my first episode, and I loved it. I was in Middle School and they were showing Health Videos that the episode was parodying in class, so it was perfect timing
I never watched "I Shouldn't Be Alive", but there are so many other shows that are similar either in premise or execution that I was able to understand the parody anyway.
Th thing is, I just love South Park as a complete series. I love how there's always a relatable element to all the parody episodes they do. Because it's always something that they either have done their homework on or have personal experience with
will say, never went on tours or ziplining, dont know that experience, that being said, love the episode, and find like it more, the more i seen it. Im an empath, and watching and listening to all that is going on, i could imagine how I would feel if I was going through all that, and man, wouldnt like it, and can see how they exaggerated the moments, like the "To make a long story short", I alreayd know that would be jarring, at the same time, that is so funny, cause the more he said it, you are thinking, "little too late for that", or "If that is the short version, hate to hear the long one"
It's why ACDC has has to keep performing Thunderstruck live even after having played it live about thirty thousand times now. It's why famous actors hate their iconic characters. It's because that's all people want to see and hear from them.
in my country there is one ziplining park, which I can't really call ziplining just because it is more like an obstacle course 4-20 meters in the air and it takes about 2-3 hours to clear it. not to mention the higher you go the harder it is so it is really stressful when you're dangling 15meters in the air trying to rest your arms so you could go back to a course. luckily there are checkpoints on which you can just climb down the tree and finish course early.
I went zip lining & really enjoyed it, but I went with my high school Spanish class in Costa Rica. The lines were long & super high up, so we were going FAST down those lines. Couldn't even see the ground
Given this is about a singular episode that is a favorite of many, what's everyone's favorite episode(s)? For me it's either the lord of the rings parody or the second superhero arc.

It's one of my favorite episodes. Exactly because I've been on a group ziplining tour and I hated every second of it. Though I was also on a private tour with some friends and it was alright.
Hahaha, I did not knew this was a parody of a particular show, I did understood that the formula representation this kind of shows use of exaggerating experiences to try and grab attention from watchers skipping channels, not really good entertainment. Good video reaction, nux.
This is one of my favorite episodes and i havent watched the show it was referencing, but i still knew about the tropes they were referencing so i still found it funny
South Park is like one of those bands that don't really have a bad song. The so and so songs still has some experimental edge that you can respect even though it wasn't quite a homerun. Edit: that is exactly what I feel about this episode. The true crime or disaster reconstruction of events tv angle is kinda funny. Its...alright. Also ive been on tours myself. They do be like that.
