I have a 2022 Toyota Sienna which I bought brand new in 2023. It only came with one key fob. I am trying to order another one and am having difficulty. Also it is very expensive. My vehicle is also equipped with a VMI ramp as I am disabled. How will I get the new fob to work with the ramp

So we have a 2022 Toyota Sienna and suddenly both fobs won't work. No warning as to whether the battery was low...just doesn't work. Is it the battery or not. One of the fobs was in a cupboard and never used for 15 months...would both batteries fail at the same time even if one of them was barely used?

yes we just did that out of abundance of caution and believe it or not they started working@@eaurius7638

Fairly unusual for both keys to fail at the same time although the time interval is about right, the battery lasts about a year with normal use.
If a battery change didn’t work, and you could get to the dealer, I’d have them check the FOBs and the car’s programming.

I usually just wait until the vehicle gives the fob battery warning - the lifespan of the batteries will vary depending on your fob

@@mikev4089 thanks, i was actually by the draler for a maintenance, and he wouldn't replace the battery only for $10, i told him I'll buy one in Walmart for $2 so he atarted arguing that the car wouldn't be then 100% Toyota anymore... Because when Toyota buys the Panasonic battery i guess they Toyotarise it before 😅 anyway its jot worthy and healthy to make a issue of a $2 battery, although they should have provided it
