I don't understand people who abandon animals. Especially in the heat. Thank God for the lady who drove them to your rescue and thank God for you and your rescue. In the past I've rescued rats and hamsters who were kept in cages way too tiny. All animals deserve love and a clean and healthy environment in which to thrive.

Oh what a pretty boy after his bath. I can’t believe how people can just discard pets. They are living beings! I rescued a boy that was going to be surrendered. I have allergies to pets so I had a plan B if it didn’t work out. MoMo could live with my daughter if my allergies couldn’t take it. Happy to say my fur child is fine with my allergies. Now I wonder who rescued who!

That’s beautiful, thank you for caring for such a precious soul. My only advice would be to look to adopt him a friend if he’s on his own as guineapigs must live with atleast one other guineapig otherwise they get depression and die young. In some countries it’s illegal to own only one guineapig because they are such sociable animals that would usually live in a herd in the wild.

Why do people get animals if they cannot be bothered to take care of them?! It really gets me extremely mad seeing such vulnerable animals, who rely on us to keep them safe and well, in such a terrible way due to neglect. Saskia, I’ve said it many times before and i’ll say it many times again-you’re an angel for what you do with these poor piggies. Thank god the world has people like you in it!! Take care to you and all the staff, and never forget how amazing you all are!!! ❤️

"Until we learn how to take care of our animals, there will always be war." Such a powerful statement. While there sadly is a lot of people that do treat their animals better than their own family, how people look upon and treat animals (especially the defenseless ones) does say a lot about themselves and how they look upon and treat the world around them. While I do think we may still have war, I agree that a change of heart and mind like this is needed globally to move into that direction.

I am just so stunned that anyone would keep putting water in a bottle that green. It makes you wonder how often it went empty. And since they aren’t eating greens, they most likely have lived off something else… hopefully at least hay and pellets. I feel so bad if I don’t get a chance to hold my two boys everyday. I just can’t imagine the neglect these boys have suffered. Thankfully they are with you, have baths and are living in a clean cage now. (And yet I know that you can’t take in nine piggies every two days! You need more help!)

After watching a bunch of your videos I decided to give my lil old man a throughout checkup. I saw what bad condition some of the surrenders were in and I got to wondering what shape my 7 year old was in…..much to my surprise (mostly because of his age and never having been checked before) he was in great shape. No impaction in his sac. Front nails were ok (I had done them not that long ago) but the back ones were due. His ears definitely needed a cleaning but weren’t ‘dirty’. Thank you so much for your posts! Now I know how to keep my lil old man in great shape.

That’s so sad how people can just get animals and then dump them! If you can’t commit to a pet for 8-10 years or more then don’t get one! A pet isn’t just a thing to buy in the spur of the moment or on impulse they are a living, breathing, feeling being, I just cannot understand people that do this!! I will never understand the cruelty and disregard for these creatures, or any creatures for that matter. They are just so vulnerable and need us. It’s a heatwave over in the UK right now and I’m on full pig duties to keep them cool as I’m working from home due to Covid and feel like a full time carer changing their water and ice packs and fresh veggies but I would do it all day every day to keep them safe and well. This just makes me so mad that people actually just drop off animals In boxes in the heat. Don’t buy an animal if you can’t take care of it properly😡😔!!! Thank god for people like you guys that help them!
