Sounds great. Yes adding "space" and articulations between notes creates a sense of maturity and also is actually more musical than just "shredding" away. Good to see you playing :) Take care!! I'll say for a Gretsch your tone is pure Fire !!!
Thanks man! Yeah, trying to improve my articulations to add more expression to my playing, that certainly is going to improve the "feeling" haha that way I can say tone is in the fingers without hesitating! Cheers man!
Thanks a lot! I really tried to achieve a very proggy tone on fractal for that gretsch, think it does the job quite well, this is somewhat the same tone I used for the Al Que es Digno video. Cheers!
Amazed by your musicianship. Wow. amazing tones and skills. I actually found you looking for videos of this Gretsch guitar. Could you tell us, if the neck of g5655tg is very fat? Like i know gretsch have some really fat, slow necks and im afraid of it. But not sure about this model exactly.. it says "thin U" , so how "thin" is it afterall? I just read about your hearing problems, So sorry man, i hope it gets better soon, you are so talented
Thanks man! I appreciate you mentioning about getting better from by hearing thing! Yeah, so this Gretsch does have a very thinneck, I have like, medium sized hands and this neck feels great, a strat really has a very big neck for me in comparison to this guitar, what I like about this gretsch's neck is that is comfortable to play and you can do string skipping quiet easily, great scale length as well. Super comfortable, as you can see you can even play this type of prog music without having to struggle at all, that makes it super versatile guitar.
Absolutely, it really took me quite a few iteration to reach this patch tone, for reference this is the same patch used in the Al Que Es Digno Solo Video, for this video I took down delay and reverb mix to reach that proggy almost dry sound. It's coming sooner or later at davidviem.com store!
Really really awesome! I need to carve out time to do this course. Did you find it enjoyable and worthwhile overall? 🎸🤘
Absolutely!
