The last story is tragic. Why did some teacher say "she was attention seeking"? Why would an officer assume a young child would 'fall asleep under a bush"? Why weren't neighborhood houses searched? Bad enough to have your child vanish and then on top of that get brushed off.
I thought the exact same thing - what a f**ked up thing for a cop to say ..... it was like: ‘Oh, don’t worry about it, she is probably just asleep under a tree!’

no, it's that the governor literally has no control over that. not everything is a conspiracy. never attribute to malice what can be attributed to stupidity. edit: also you can't reveal all the information in any open/unsolved case.
@princesstamika the governor was not the only problem. There was definitely a cover up. And if it was no cover up,the police didn't want anything to do with the case because of the backlash or repercussions. It could well have been a cult. And I think they sent a message to the family by setting the car on fire, taking the dog. The house that was on the land that the party was at even burned down. And if the governor really wanted to, the request the family made could have been granted. Definitely someone knows something and someone is covering it up.
I’ve known of diabetic alcoholics who repeatedly ended up hospitalized in diabetic comas. The family is in denial about his alcohol use. They can say he didn’t use alcohol, but they’re not in his presence 24/7. I’ve also known people to put up that ‘do not disturb’ sign simply because they have some valuables in the room. That’s not that odd of a behavior.
@Happy Day I'm one of those people who puts the do not disturb sign on the door. I don't go on cruises but hang it on the outside of hotel room doors simply because I'm on a break or holiday and do not want cleaners disturbing my peace, forcing me out of the room when I want to stay in it until I'm ready to leave it for the day, not when they want. When I need new towels or bedding, then is the time I'll remove the do not disturb. Personal choice. I think the man went overboard unnoticed. Also would be interesting to know if all that money he won and kept secret has ever been touched. Another thought was maybe he left ship for 9 mins, made a call to be collected and before ship departed he snuck off it unnoticed. Wouldn't be difficult considering nobody noticed him vanish from what they assume is him aboard a ship a sail. People can just disembark a ship and go unnoticed. Same with any other transport. CCTV doesn't always capture everything, and isn't always working.
Just because one drinks doesn't mean they can't also stop at two drinks or so. I drink alcohol but haven't been *drunk* since I'd say 2014. Over the legal driving limit, sure. But that's different.
There is no law or procedure stating someone isn’t considered missing until after 24 hours. This is just a myth from tv and movies. If you truly believe someone is missing you report it immediately. There is no such waiting period to begin a missing person case.
@@GrimTactics you're too optimistic, police almost always tells people that their relatives just had hard day or stayed at friends, if it's a teen, then they run away, etc. And it seems it happens in all countries, some policemen are just lazy (plus they got paid for closed cases, so throwing away your paper about missing person can be a way to go for them somehow).
Or he had some woman, or the two women who the witness saw, who was served in glasses with them after slipping some drug to him and supported him out to deck where they tumped him overboard.
Not really. My parents ran a mini market and I fall asleep on a stack of rice-filled gunny bags in the storeroom. No one noticed and they ended up locking me inside. It was only when my parents went home and realized I was missing that they came back to pick me up. It was a hell of an experience for everyone.
Okay, Amy, but you were there at the store with them. Generally when kids konk out they're at home, sometimes under the bed or in a closet. They go home when they get tired. They don't curl up in the bushes a block down the street.
Why can't records on Randy Leach's disappearance be made public? It makes no sense. Are the cops afraid armchair detectives will solve the mystery and make them look incompetent?!

he's playing at the casino all the time during his cruise, if he's gambler, chances are he lost all the money and then some. There are some elements lacking to know if it was indeed a suicide, how much money did he blow on this trip and what was his financial situation. The way it is narrated here feel like someone tired with his life and wanting to go all out, and then either disappearing or committing suicide. But I don't think the story is detailed enough to make a definitive opinion.

In one of my Perry Mason books someone supposedly disappears off a cruise ship. It turned out that the missing person had actually switched places with another person, who was aboard the ship in a wheelchair and heavy bandaging. When I heard the first case, of the man who supposedly vanished off the cruise ship, this was the first thing I thought. Another thought is that the man made the call in Ketchikan and there was a plan in place for him to be replaced aboard ship by someone else. Just a couple of thoughts.
That last story is horrifying. As the single parent of a little girl, who had been kidnapped by her estranged mother, and after I got her back, thanks to the police, I found myself left with a constant extreme fear of something happening to her (thanks PTSD) so, I became a helicopter parent. I mean, I wouldn't let her go outside or anywhere without mine or some other trusted adult's supervision. So, that last story just hit home.
You are so right. These are very interesting stories...but they are about real people. Prayers for the families who've lost loved ones, without closure.
These videos are like a drug that goes straight to the blood stream.. or maybe to the hole that’s only filled with daily true crime. No one makes em like this!
Oftentimes feet become detached from bodies that are in water. And they are often suicides or drownings. I only know this because I am from Bellingham , Washington State and for several Decades we had feet floating up on the shores of the beaches between Vancouver BC and our area. There was speculation it was a serial killer or some kind of organized crime situation. It has never been solved conclusively, but experts are leaning towards what I said above (they did extensive studies even utilizing corpses to see how long it would take for a foot to detach from a leg depending on whether the foot was in a shoe or not, etc etc) . Suicide or drownings - accidental or otherwise. Weird thing is that Bellingham is an area where millions of people live on the shore of the Puget Sound which tends to send flotsam and jetsam around in a circle rather than directly out to sea (between Vancouver B.C and Seattle) -there are suicides in small towns too. But they are usually a lot less anonymous and I would think be spotted sooner -
@@vikkorheel9966 Skipping ads is besides the point. (That first sentence is not meant to be rude. Sorry if it comes across as such.) I mean it's annoying enough when creators put more than 3 ads in a 15 min video. But it seems like Criminally Listed has been putting an ad every 90 seconds or so on his videos the past 9 months. Its ridiculous! It's just greedy beyond greedy. He has a healthy enough channel and steady, respectable income. All the ads are making a lot of his viewers pretty upset.
@@vikkorheel9966 yeah, it even bugs *me.* and I pay for UA-cam Premium, so I don't even see any sign of the ads. But I have seen how many ads he puts in videos when I use a different device or when im not logged into my YT account. But its really just the greed behind it that really bugs me. Its like he REALLY doesn't give a crap about individual viewers. And yet there are other YT creators who will go out of their way to avoid ads and keep them limited as much as possible, forgoing extra money, just because they want their viewers to be happy. Just makes me think less of CL as a person, and lose a lot of respect for him. (Not that he, or anyone else really cares, as he has no idea who i am and I have no impact on his life whatsoever. But still.) I haven't watched many of his videos the past 6 months because of it, either. I imagine I'm not the only one, and he's likely lost a lot of viewers the past lil while over it. Even some of the loyal, long time ones. Kinda like me. Ive been watching his videos, almost every one the day they came out, for the past 2 years? Not sure how long. But its been a hot minute at least. Anyway, what do you use to skip ads? Do you use ad blocker? Or just do the fast forward the entire video then replay it without ads? I hear that that doesn't work on all device or for all people.
So many people disappear off cruises with no idea what could have happened. They need to have the cruise ships have videos on all the decks, hallways, restaurants, everything except private cabins. Also, they should have video of anyone coming and going off the ship. It just makes sense when people disembark and may not return, possible foul play, or possibly falling off the boat. It would help rule out many possibilities to help locate someone.
@@Rainy..Day. Yes, it seem more of a gift for benefit of the parents maybe? But mabe he wanted it himself if he planned to move to a house of his own with huge lawns.
I think it was because he was really excited about his lawn mowing business and a riding lawnmower would have been a pretty big purchase for some farmers back in that time. Having grown up on a farm with poor family and now having my own landscaping business that is my speculation. It was probably a very meaningful present for everyone involved. Makes the story even more sad 😔
llriv that's interesting right?? What do you think? I dunno, I think it was all for show. I think he poured out those bottles and forgot to leave glasses out.
Case 1, did they not have a way of knowing if he made it off the boat when it docked in Vancouver? did they check flight logs to Arizona or other places out of Vancouver? It just doesn’t make sense if they don’t even know if he got off the boat or not. Someone must’ve seen him in the few days between being last seen and the boat docking or he must’ve gone overboard. I guess they didn’t care enough to find out?
Well there is a camera on EVERY corner in America (allegedly) and people still go missing. Even if someone did see him...you walk by 1000s of people everyday and don't pay attention. I honestly think he dipped because he wanted. Hotel practice is the same across the world. After 3 days we by law have go clean your room even if you dont want it. So they left him go a week.
I think they’re must’ve been a woman or man in there with him hence the alcohol which he was allergic to let alone him rarely drinking. Who knows what could’ve happened but unfortunately it seems he some how ended up overboard. You think there must’ve been some sighting of him on the ship after Saturday if he was on-board especially considering how many people initially recalled seeing him around the ship. Just seems like a shame this wasn’t investigated further, more people interviewed etc.
Cruise ship disappearances often indicate huge negligence from cruise authorities. Most of the time they just don't give a damn if someone simply disappears off the deck, let alone fully cooperate with the investigation! I have seen similar cases like this one that had me pondering if I should ever embark on a cruise trip cause trust me if I ever disappear; be it simply fall off the board or get abducted, that would it be it for me. I would just vanish without any trace and no one would find out what happened to me.
Cruises are overrated, anyway. They're highly damageful to the environment, as well. The US department of Justice prosecuted cruise line companies so many times, in regard to polluants rejection, fuel efficiency and waste disposal.

The act of digressing; deviation from a regular or appointed course; especially, a departure from the main subject under consideration; an excursion of speech or writing. Wait wait wait… So Randy Leach’s parents asked for the records from the investigation into the disappearance of their son to be released to them so they can make progress on their own. The judge said “no“. Then, they implored the governor to assign a special investigator to research it who could give fresh eyes to the case. The governor said “no“. Soooo they can’t get the records to try to make progress and they won’t assign anyone new to the case to be able to look at the records and make progress either. What the fk??
Maybe they are worried that revealing the information would lead to a jurisdiction battle ? For example, if someone had been transported across state lines they would have to call in the FBI I believe. (That would be a violation in that case) It isn't always , or even often police incompetence when the officials don't release information. It could be because there is sensitive information they need to keep confidential in order to eventually close the case (such as details that only a killer would know that would be necessary to corroborate a confession or the like), they may have a tiger by the tail. Often times law enforcement will have a primary suspect but are just waiting for the little bit of evidence to be able to haul them in, and know that they will be found guilty in a trial. Local law enforcement will sometimes watch a suspect or suspects for years or even decades waiting for them to make a slip so they can get them. It may be necessary to keep even family out of the loop at times in order for greater justice to be served. It could be that the details of his case are connected with another investigation. There could be a lot a reasons to justify withholding information. And there could also be reasons not to. I just hope Justice is served while his parents are still alive.
because the searchers think they got already paid even enough if they can't find the corpse or the evidence or not so it would take hard work for a while to find it so they decided to close the case as classic 90s way
I'd be interested to know if the creek always had water that low. Or, like most creeks/rivers the water level could increase and decrease with the seasons or with weather events.
I know family members like to believe they know everything about love ones, but unless you live or spend alot of time on a daily basis with them, they just don't know them as well as they would like investigators to think. This can really hurt investigations if the investigators take them at their word.
Having gone on a few cruises, it has occurred to me how easy it would be for someone to disappear. You can go on deck any time, and I don't think it would be that hard to either commit suicide or be murdered and thrown overboard without anyone seeing.

Perhaps the jealous lover of that blonde made Gary fall overboard from the ship? Gary might have been killed on his cabin, hence the do not disturb sign being held to the point it upset the stewart. The murderer would have done that to cover up the body's temporary location. By then, he disposed it off as the ship went offshore. 🤔

The story of molestation and murder of Sara was probably partially true. Notice the cops weren’t alarmed that a 6 year old child had disappeared? They thought she fell in bushes and was asleep? I mean.... taxpayers pay YOU to stand around and bullish!t? Get your lazy ass outside and look for her you pigs! That was how they used to treat kids... like they were property. In fact they’d probably treat stolen property with more respect and dignity than they showed that little girl, and they are partially to blame for Sara being (likely) murdered. The parents are stupid too. Letting a 6 year old just play outside and admit they hadn’t seen her ‘for a while.’ Not acceptable. That’s negligent.
I’ve listened to Randy’s story story on the podcast the vanished. I seen his episode on crime watch daily. The whole police force failed his case miserably.

Fake claims of satanic cults were everywhere in the mid 80s. I think the car went into the water, maybe not exactly where some assume it did. The Kansas River is not far and if no one thought to check the water for a decade, it seems very likely that’s what happened. Remember the case of the 3 teens in the Firebird from Oklahoma? 30 years before someone checked the nearest body of water. Rumors of drugs, cults, gang murders were rampant among arm chair detectives and it didn’t help the matter, just like in this case. The driver simply made a wrong turn.
CarolAnn0308 I believe he is in the water somewhere also. To many similar cases where a person and vehicle vanishes and it always ends up in the water and especially because he was at a party and probably under the influence. The weird things that happened afterwards are bizarre though like the dog vanishing the fires and the guy who said he was in the cave with a body and a cult . Truly bizarre. If I had to bet my money though he is in a body of water fairly close to home. If I was family I would be paying divers to search certain areas where a car could easily enter a lake river or pond. I would start at the party and map out every possible route and even wrong turns and pin point major bodies of water that need searching and I guarantee the car would be found. It’s the only reasonable explanation because cars don’t just disappear like that it has to be in water
@DG Almon I'm not paying for 12 dollars just to remove ads, this channel has added massive advertisement in last 6 months, 15 ads in 30 minutes is ridiculous. So in a 36 minute video, I count eight spots where there are ads. Then we have to listen to the narrator rep Magellan tv, an overpriced wallet etc for the first two plus minutes? Yeah, you can skip an ad after so many seconds but the ads are always so horribly timed and if in the middle of something like work, it's annoying as hell to have to stop literally every 3-4 minutes to hit the skip button. Everyone deserves money for effort but this is overkill. Anyone else know of other channels not so commercial filled?
So let me get this straight…you’re getting quality content that you enjoy for FREE and you’re moaning that you have to click a button once every few minutes?? If you add up all the time you actually spent watching ads, 2 minutes at the start (which you can skip forward and not listen if you do choose) and 8 lots of ads with 5 seconds playtime before you can skip…comes to a whopping 35 seconds of ad time that you HAVE to watch and can’t skip…and you’re moaning about that?? Where else can you get free, legal content with that little ad time? Maybe the dude should just work for free huh? Ridiculous 🙄

@In Korea I was a alcoholic and no one knew so....stfu

one way to get around that ridiculous 24 hours , would have been to report her car stolen.

There is no law or procedure stating someone isn’t considered missing until after 24 hours. This is just a myth from tv and movies. If you truly believe someone is missing you report it immediately. There is no such waiting period to begin a missing person case.

Not really. My parents ran a mini market and I fall asleep on a stack of rice-filled gunny bags in the storeroom. No one noticed and they ended up locking me inside.
If that is true when what the hell happened to the guy who replaced him
That last story is horrifying.

Okay, now I really wanna know who's foot they found! Geez!
Right. This world is scary asf
Probably a unrelated suicide.

Cruise ships don't care enough.

@@AnneQuiet Interesting theory...I was leaning more towards suicide but you make some good points here. These unsolved cases drive me up the wall.
I think he got in with some people who disappeared him
And did they check every passenger's photos taken while on board?
This first case is wild--never heard of it.
First case reminded be of Amy Lynn Bradley case. That’s why I don’t do cruises. Creep me out.
Cruises are overrated, anyway. They're highly damageful to the environment, as well. The US department of Justice prosecuted cruise line companies so many times, in regard to polluants rejection, fuel efficiency and waste disposal.

n. The act of digressing; deviation from a regular or appointed course; especially, a departure from the main subject under consideration; an excursion of speech or writing. Here, the digression going from the fear of cruises, to their relatively worthless and wasteful character.
Ziusudra Yeah, my point was, you digress.
I just hope Justice is served while his parents are still alive.
why wouldn't they have searched that creek THEN?? Huh?? And if the water was so low, clearly he didn't go off the road at that time!
because the searchers think they got already paid even enough if they can't find the corpse or the evidence or not so it would take hard work for a while to find it so they decided to close the case as classic 90s way
I'd be interested to know if the creek always had water that low. Or, like most creeks/rivers the water level could increase and decrease with the seasons or with weather events.
They should use search dogs. Since Randy's own dog probably found his body😞
I know family members like to believe they know everything about love ones, but unless you live or spend alot of time on a daily basis with them, they just don't know them as well as they would like investigators to think. This can really hurt investigations if the investigators take them at their word.

Another great video by CL. I LOVE these kinds of unsolved mysteries. Speaking of which the Robert Stack one is always better than the new ones on Netflix.
CL is a underrated channel thanks
Robert Stack was awesome. His voice really emphasized the mysterious aspect of the stories.
The leech case is insane
He's in the water somewhere.
Great episode CL!! Thanks!
Man I miss the old "criminally listed" back when there wasn't 15 ads in 30 minute video. I get 3 or 4 but now it's just a cash grab.
Skip to the end of the video then hit replay and the ads disappear
@DG Almon I'm not paying for 12 dollars just to remove ads, this channel has added massive advertisement in last 6 months, 15 ads in 30 minutes is ridiculous. I already pay for Netflix and HBOMax and shouldn't have to pay for UA-cam, I don't mind ads just need to be scaled back a little, it's overkill right now.
ShadoeFax1986 youtube is going downhill
The Sarah Avon case happened where I grew.up. it terrified.me. thank you for covering it. I wish we knew.what happened.
CL really putting in overtime for us in quarantine, the hero we need but we don’t deserve
You get an eye witness right there who can tell you the location and depth to work at, and instead of acting on it, you get all ego driven and tell him to go away? Wtf? What a bunch of incompetent utter twonks 😕😨
Case 1: The steward was pissed at Gary for not letting him in/telling the steward to get out of his room so he threw him overboard. 🤔...but it's just a theory.
The video just posted today stated that UA-cam sent Criminally Listed notification that their channel is now completely demonetized. Criminally Listed is asking that we please go to their Criminally Listed Twitter page and like, comment and retweet their pinned post to help support them. If they are unable to be monetized again, then they will be unable to continue making UA-cam videos.
I love the plug for magellan and then less than 90 seconds later another ad.
I absolutely love the work you put and cover I absolutely love this channel
You just made my very shitty day better.
Thank you!!
❤❤❤
Thank You 😊
Thank you king
Spinner and aa thousand ads I can't wuth this channel. I try n listen before sleep the constant ads prevent that
🤔🤔🤔🤔The last story I'm baffled no one saw sarah avon on the day she vanished on 7/21/1981 or her abductor or abductors her parents reported her missing at 9:00p.m. I suspect foul play was involved and she's been missing now for 39 years unfortunately sarah remains missing if she's alive today she would be 45 years of age the authorities dug underneath an old garage in south Joliet in 2004 but nothing was found her disappearance remains unsolved to this day absolutely heartbreaking and a sad story 😭🤔😢🤔😭😢😭🤔😭😢😢
Agreed
@@MW222-s8u 😢🤔😢it sooo heartbreaking for sarah avon's parents they have no idea what happened to their daughter I suspect she was abducted i truly hope there's a break in chilling cold case so her family can have justice they rightfully deserve and be at peace👍👍👍
Awesome publicity & in depth analysis.....superb work!!! Very intriguing case's

"Party over heeeere!!!"
LOL
@CriminallyListed I was seeing some of your older videos and would love it if you could cover some True Crime cases from India. We have many cases that could be covered in depth by you. For example,
1. Aarushi Talwar-Hemraj double murder case - This one is considered solved but the investigation was botched from the start
2. Sheena Bora murder case: Again solved but this one has multiple layers of conspiracy
3. Neeraj Murder Case: Maria Susairaj and her fiancé kill a person and dispose of the body in the most brutal way possible
There are many more cases within India these are some of the most publicised ones
I enjoy watching your videos very much! Thank you and love from India 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Poor Randy. I'm so sorry for that guy. I grew up in the country. It's sad af. I'm sorry for his family too.
A 6 year old goes missing and cops didn’t think it was a big deal. Idiots Hope that cop got suspended
