No worries mate, I can see why you was not getting alone with it. This video should help you a lot but just keep in mind I am still having issues with it my self. So start small and see what you can learn first and make sure you don't waste to much time. My big issues I had was trying to come back to work on it again and then finding I couldn't edit any of my old work, (after I had closed and open beamng again.) you will see what I mean in the video

Yea it took me about 6/8 hours some thing like that to get my head around it but I think you will find it still needs work. It can and hopefully will be a powerful tool. What hurt my head is that they set up to work different to any of there other tools, like the decal or forest. you have to learn a new way of using beamng basically. bit odd but not to hard to get use to. warning though don't go crazy as first, you may end up wasting your time. start small and get used to it first. the main issue I had was when I close beamng then open it back up the work I had done wasn't able to be edited in the same way. good luck and have fun
Thank you, ~I did try that but then it over layed the road with the one from before!! doesn't seem right. I will try again the way you said and see if I can work away around the face it layers the roads. thank you again for the advice
@@manicgamingguy6161 yes when you load the session from road architect it actually creates a new one with all the stuff you have saved, so you would need to delete the old road in the scene tree by deleting its folder. the only change that is not reversible is the terrain. so make sure you get your terrain the right shape before saving the level.

I make them :) I have videos that show how in my beamng map tutorial playlist. or if you can work it out. hope any map push F11 ( world editor) top left tabs find one that says new level click it, save the level with your new map name and there you go. you will have to add stuff like decals and a flat terrain but I also have videos for that :)

Not that I know of, I would have to have a deep dive and see. I think the tool needs a lot of work still, feels like it has been given to us half done. I think it was my idea too, I said we need a tool like the prop tool from cites skylines. But the prop tool is easy to use and not broken lol.
Hi, great video! By any chance do you know why my road decals gets messed up after game crashes? Everything is saved and looks great, but when map is loaded after game crash, road decals are all over the place..
it is broken is my guess. I think the tool needs a lot of work, one being it crashes a lot haha. but if you saved the roads with the tool, you should be able to remove the roads that are there and reload them again.
Hey I used your method of making a new map with the template map and changing the name to make a few of my maps. But after the .33 update they wont load. They show up on the main menu but once you try to spawn in it just loads and never opens. Just wondering if you had that issue with any of your maps
Hi if you look in my playlist for beamng map editor you will find a short video on it. about 5mins long. it is the easiest way I know to start your own map. I did it not long ago and still works. the file will only show in levels folder, you will need to copy it and paste it into mod folder
@@RobDRich I knew the update was coming and didn't want to risk having stuff missing so I put my maps into a safe folder, updated the game and then put my maps back into the mods folder
I haven't done that yet my self and to be honest I didn't know it was a thing. I will look into though. I am guessing you mean so that say if you are in Japan you get them style plates then say if uk you get them sort of plates.

I have a very eay video already I have about 3 for starting maps. But basixly in world editor go to tabs and make new level maybe called save new level.

you need to save the road architect session from the tool and then load it back if you want to continue editing after you restart the game

how do you make one way roads. i could only find on setting in intersection to make Y one way road, but there wos no option for X

I was trying to make one but it easier said then done!! the template map is the best to start with at the moment but comes with a lot of setting up

You should of been OK but maybe you need to move some files from the old files.. If you get me. It's a folder called levels in the. 32

you can edit the sidewalk, if you scrol down the menu
