  • Neil and Blake have got hold of a Canyon Torque:ON and a new Orbea Rise to see how they handle some of the biggest jumps in our neck of the woods! We headed to the Dirt Farm near Abergavenny in Wales to put them through their paces on the fast trails and over the various jumps.

      I want trails built for what an e-bike is capable of at the limit. Can't wait to see the future of e-biking. There is almost no terrain limitation anymore, it's all fun if the trail design is good. Places no longer need to rely on having hills suited for descending to be a destination. This sport is going to evolve in an amazing direction.

I’d rather enjoy a full day than dick measure on the way up. It was exactly the same conversation 20 years ago when full suspension came out, ‘all you need is a hard tail’ blah blah. It’s just another form of progression for those that want it surely?

I say get the Ebike with the fastest motor that way u can rip thru trails, hit jumps like dirt bikes and get back up the hill as fast as possible.

I can honestly say that riding analogue vs my mates who are on e bikes, it really is night and day. The e bikes win but what bike should a big fat 176cm tall 126kg bloke be buying? What should the big heavy riders be looking for?

I would recommend a Dengfu e10(bafang m600, m510 motors) , and dengfu e22(bafang m620 motor, chews more battery but stronger more reliable motor, mostly on climbs with full torque / using the optional throttle) almost identical frames other than motor mounts! I personally ride e10 and it is AMAZING. Great prices too for a way more capable bike than 90% of the market.

    After about 3 years the last Keurig stopped working ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf initially was able to unblock, however eventually we couldn't fix. That one was a replacement unit sent by the manufacturer after we had problems with our very first Keurig. This works fine (lol, at least for now) however I didn't realize the water reservoir was so much smaller than our prior unit. With 2 people having one or two cups of coffee each morning, it seems like I'm refilling it daily. Otherwise just happy to have the convenience of pod coffee vs. making a morning pot.

    Been considering an eBike since I got my big rig enduro but the pricing for the spec has always held me back. That said, seriously considering the Canyon Torque: ON this year as the full Fox factory setup with X01/RSC for under £6K is mighty tempting

    Transition is coming out with a new e-bike called the Relay sometime in the Spring. It will have 160/170 suspension travel and is light weight for an e-bike. It almost looks like a Sentinel with a motor. They have some videos of their folks putting some prototypes to the test on their website.

    The only downside ive really found with my eeb is there is a lot of really ridiculously steep trails in my area and once you drop in there is no stopping with the extra weight. Also im more comfortable trying a sketchy drop on a normal bike then come back with the eeb.

    I think E- bikes are gonna kill themselves. They will get better and more powerful until a ministry of transport or department of transportation classifies them as a motorcycle. Or at least up to a certain power level.

    • @olik136
      @olik136 2 роки тому

      all the e-bikes you see here or on EMBN are actually pedelecs- depending on the country (but similar in most EU countries) they are regulated to 250w output and may only assist your manual input (no throttle). Only the torque and responsiveness differs. Those rules got updated from the existing laws for gas-engine assisted bicycles. The only think killing e-bikes at the moment is the prize- they have come close to actual motorbikes...

    It’s great to see the Orbea been chucked around like that. I’ve got a Rise M10 and it’s a great bike. Been to the bike park a few times, but never jumped it anything like this. Interesting to see that the wheels had been changed. One think that’s currently bothering me on my Rise is the wheels. They sometimes give the impression you’ve got a flat tyre as they squirm around. Did you change them because you didn’t think the stock ones were up to the task? What is the spec on the ones you are running?

    • @zlNerdmovies
      @zlNerdmovies 2 роки тому

      I put the 27.5 rear Wheel out of my Trek in my M10 since i destroyed the rim of the original Wheel in the Bikepark. I think that happened when i rode down a ~80cm "root-drop" to flat and landed on a rock. I can tell you this rim really was f*cked, i dont think they are that robust.
