It’s great to see the Orbea been chucked around like that. I’ve got a Rise M10 and it’s a great bike. Been to the bike park a few times, but never jumped it anything like this. Interesting to see that the wheels had been changed. One think that’s currently bothering me on my Rise is the wheels. They sometimes give the impression you’ve got a flat tyre as they squirm around. Did you change them because you didn’t think the stock ones were up to the task? What is the spec on the ones you are running?
I put the 27.5 rear Wheel out of my Trek in my M10 since i destroyed the rim of the original Wheel in the Bikepark. I think that happened when i rode down a ~80cm "root-drop" to flat and landed on a rock. I can tell you this rim really was f*cked, i dont think they are that robust.

so you have never ridden one then? you have to pedal- the motor only assist you. The versions with throttles are generally not allowed in the EU or are treated as motorbikes
😂 tell you what, you come up here to Scotland, I will rent out an e-bike for you and take you one one of my favourite rides, see how tired out you are by the end….
I think E- bikes are gonna kill themselves. They will get better and more powerful until a ministry of transport or department of transportation classifies them as a motorcycle. Or at least up to a certain power level.
all the e-bikes you see here or on EMBN are actually pedelecs- depending on the country (but similar in most EU countries) they are regulated to 250w output and may only assist your manual input (no throttle). Only the torque and responsiveness differs. Those rules got updated from the existing laws for gas-engine assisted bicycles. The only think killing e-bikes at the moment is the prize- they have come close to actual motorbikes...

We agree! Well put! 👊
Why is there Ebike content on GMBN?
GMBN is for all bikes! 🙌
I'm lazy enough and should never be allowed an e-bike. Maybe in 30 years when my knees are shot I'll consider one until then I'll keep pedaling
i love the way these bods alienate anyone over the age of 15 by the way they act...🤣😂🤣
No pedaling required. One less element to worry about. One less element to tire you out.
so you have never ridden one then? you have to pedal- the motor only assist you. The versions with throttles are generally not allowed in the EU or are treated as motorbikes
😂 tell you what, you come up here to Scotland, I will rent out an e-bike for you and take you one one of my favourite rides, see how tired out you are by the end….
Ooh
👍
Do you guys reply? (Pls do)
No we don't! 😉
All these clowns hating on ebikes have either never tried one or can't afford one and they're letting their jealousy show.
My Evil custom dream build cost more than some e bikes, Ive had a go on an ebike, I will never own one!
👌👍💥
🔥
Cycling Mtb or road is supposed to be about using your own power to get about. E bikes good for the old, infirm , obese I guess.
lol, haters gonna hate. go eat some dirt
Why ebikes on gmbn? There is another channel for e motor bikes
Boring 😴
Hey Erin! GMBN is for all bikes! E-bikes are allowed from time to time! 😅
The only think killing e-bikes at the moment is the prize- they have come close to actual motorbikes...
just get on a motorcycle and get over it..
🙁
@@gmbn I don't like how this is going... for me is like putting a motor on a surfboard.. MTB is losing it's natural thing.. Maybe it's just me, but that's how I feel about e-bikes.
But they are completely different things?….
If I had an E-bike something would be terribly wrong. Please leave those monstrosities on EMBN.
hey cheapskate, go eat some dirt :P
Oh. Another video on e bikes. Is this embn or gmbn channel 🙄
i love the videos but i like men better
I call them chEater bikes. Let’s face it what fun is it if you’re getting assistance up a hill. That’s part of the experience.
People still using that old chestnut 😂
Riding uphill is all part of the experience, but e-bikes are great for blasting up hills! 😉
imagine not hating your life for at least half of every trip...
What fun is it getting assistance up the hill? Have you not seen the grin on peoples faces as they power uphill?
Just wait until your 60+ and you will realise how much difference they make to the experience.
Good video, but I'd rather p1ss on an electric fence than get an ebike. If I want a powered bike, there's 150bhp in the garage. I may be a bit old n fat, but I'd rather earn my stripes then buy em.
Yawn.... said everyone who has never even been on one.... what walking boots do you use for your "Real" biking? Scarpa or Berghaus?? 😂
@@Bazza1968 haha, good point :)
they used stunt doubles. lame
Jus goes to show the extra weight means virtually NOTHING! For Gods sake a Motocross bike weighs 250 lbs they dont seem to have ANY issue getting air. I say get the Ebike with the fastest motor that way u can rip thru trails, hit jumps like dirt bikes and get back up the hill as fast as possible.
