The Harvester salad is so nice, particularly with the blue cheese dressing. Both meals looked good, it is often very difficult to get all the timings right when cooking a mixed grill. The Harvester one almost looked a bit like an extended breakfast, (although I guess you wouldn’t get a quarter of chicken on a breakfast) but I too thought it unusual to include black pudding, perhaps it’s a cheap plate filler. The meat at Chef and Brewer was definitely more generous in size and looked delicious. I think I would enjoy either one
Harvester can be really good and your mixed grill looked great. The Chef & Brewer also looked very nice. Personal choice, i would choose Harvester because it is better value for money.
Hello, EIE Thank you for the vlog, first class as always. Both meals looked great and presented well. For me, it has to be Harvester. The quarter chicken and the salad bar made it. See you next time 😊😊
Oh I'm drooling now! Need a mixed grill asap 🙂You've got a hard job there......lucky man. Loving your content Mr Everyday. Keep up the good work because your videos are so fipping addictive!
I would have gone for the more expensive one ( ultimate mixed grill) at the harvester because its so much more meat for a couple of extra quid. Thing is the spoons one you reviewed a few videos back was 13 quid and that is about my top price for a Normal meal. Once or twice a year i do push the boat out and that if the ultimate mixed grill is a bigger version of what you had i've go for that and order some tap water to go with it!
Harvester for me because I love chicken with the skin on, did you forget the pot of peas? 😂 The Chef and Brewer gammon though looked spectacular. Congratulations on the 9,000🎉
Price wise there's nothing in it but the Harvester offering appeals to my discerning palate , although I have to be honest and say the C&B steak more suited to my personal preference. I'd happily eat at either but but if I had the vote we'd all be going to Harvester's.
Mate years ago at Harvesters they used to sell like an ice cream Sunday, with chocolate cake at the bottom of the glass, not sure if they still do it, but it was banging! ☺🤙🏼
See where I’m living in Australia I’ve never heard of onion rings with a mixed grill. Even when I lived in the U.K. onion rings were not a big thing. They were something from the USA.
Twenty three quid for one meal, with no booze? Either way, not for a family of four or five wanting a nice outing on a Sunday afternoon. Still, thanks for the truth about what's going on nowadays, mate.
The thing is I’m convinced these places think people will continue to pay. But they won’t - there is always a ceiling. These restaurants will cut their own throat and I have no doubt we’ll see a huge reduction in time as wages are simply not going up as fast.
Hi ya mate, a question? What is a mixed grill 😮 Deep in history it was just that, food ( well meats really) cooked on the grill ❤😊.I've never grilled Eggs, peas,or even chips,😮but let's carry on.Harvester, start with the bonus salad bar.Great idea, and it looked very tasty & fresh😊 My opinion, first impressions were.peas, chips, mushroom& sausage all looked very dry😢. The 1/4 chicken looked lush❤really nice colouring 😊Egg 🥚 passed the dippy test. But Black Pudding, no😢. Cost, fair❤ Chef& Brewer next, bit disappointed about plate size. I prefer to have my food spread out,not piled up 😢But,bonus no peas just a " green leaf garnish " Crispy chips & a really fresh looking egg 🥚 😊 Standard catering banger, and well cooked 1/2 tomato 🍅 Belting bit'o'gammon❤😊 & the Rump although over cooked seemed edible. And a cookie to round it off❤ Cost, well a £1.42 difference is not going to break the piggy bank😂 So for me,this time The Chef & Brewer WINS Allan&Family
The C&B looked better and had a nicer ambience. The prices are getting ridiculous however, it doesn't seem that long ago I was paying around this much for set lunches in Michelin star places.
Personally? Chef & Brewer edges it.. Only just though, it did look really nice. You should do a 3 Way Shoot Out / Triple Threat Match Video between Hungry Horse, Greene King and Chef & Brewer to establish if you really do get Better Quality Meals the more you pay, and because they are all owned by Greene King as well 🙂
Harvester gets a bad rep a lot of the time. For the money it's very good quality, better than TGI fridays in fact due to the price and the salad bar. I always end up over eating there though!
Thank you for your reply, Probably the best British food channel in the world, thus far . That’s my humble opinion, and I’m sticking to it , Well done. ✌🏻🧑🏻🦱✌🏻
£23 are a bit much when Wetherspoons with drink is £13.15. with 6 onions rings or think £15 for Brewers fayre. So these two places are a bit much. spending that much. But you have to look at weight of meat. and cost for you to buy the meat at the supermarket. a 1/4 chicken with bones may look better but May not have more meat on it as the more expensive to buy breast. they both look nice but you are paying high for it.
I really prefer Rotisserie chicken to a normal grilled chicken breast but I have to admit, the second place gave you a huge slice of gammon. I'd probably call it a draw.
the white house meal, looked superior and not much more money. £20 for a mixed grill in harvester, the problem with big menus is the food is going to be frozen. my daughter goes to harvester with her boyfriends family, and she says the food tasts like it comes from iceland
Anyone else find this guy a cure for insomnia?, his channel is called everyday I’m eating, aren’t we all, seems like a decent guy but what’s with the robotic, lifeless commentary
Which one did you prefer?

The harvester looked way better on looks
Loving gammon as I do, I agree with you. Chef n Brewer win. Lovely stuff.
The Harvester meal wins for me. The rotisserie chicken and the salad bar gets a big plus!
Both looked great. Now I'm really hungry

I was surprised by the huge piece of gammon you get at Chef&Brewer
@@everydayimeating3407 me too, but that’s a Billy bonus ! Cannot beat gammon and egg
Harvester can be really good and your mixed grill looked great. The Chef & Brewer also looked very nice. Personal choice, i would choose Harvester because it is better value for money.
The salad bar is a great addition to the Harvester one, and it goes well with the meats
Hello, EIE

The quarter chicken was really delicious at Harvester.
Oh I'm drooling now! Need a mixed grill asap 🙂You've got a hard job there......lucky man. Loving your content Mr Everyday. Keep up the good work because your videos are so fipping addictive!
Thanks! Will do!

£20+ is a lot to pay for one meal, I must admit
I agree it's a difficult call to make - although C&B presentation was better.
Chef and brewer just but no by much thanks for another great video mate 🎉🎉
It just took it for me too
Both great meals…. But the prices are always in my subconscious with theses places and thus, my car tends to end up parked outside Wetherspoons 😂👍🇬🇧
My car seems to be drawn in the same direction when time to eat out!
I’d go with the Harvester with the salad bar, you need lessons on making tea though both looked like tap water 😅
Harvester for me because I love chicken with the skin on, did you forget the pot of peas? 😂 The Chef and Brewer gammon though looked spectacular. Congratulations on the 9,000🎉

Sounds amazing, I need to try it sometime
Sundae
Harvester for me. 10/10. xx
Good choice 😀
Have you tried the mixed grill in an O'Neills pub? You can get a classic or a mega
Harvester one looked much better, liked the quarter chicken rather than bog standard piece
I prefer the quarter chicken to a chicken breast too
harvester takes it for me
I would have preferred the Harvester, but both looked very good. It's a crime not to have onion rings with a mixed grill 😂
You can get them separately at Chef & Brewer but they are extra 🙁
See where I’m living in Australia I’ve never heard of onion rings with a mixed grill. Even when I lived in the U.K. onion rings were not a big thing. They were something from the USA.
Outrageous prices.
It is very expensive, I agree
Harvester all day, long, a free salad bar. Plus there’s three coffee top ups at my local harvester.
The salad bar is great
Twenty three quid for one meal, with no booze? Either way, not for a family of four or five wanting a nice outing on a Sunday afternoon. Still, thanks for the truth about what's going on nowadays, mate.
Yes Looking back at the Spoons one that was 1/2 the price!
Its getting expensive to eat out these days
@@everydayimeating3407 Yes and it seems to me its the middle ground that is getting more pricey!
The thing is I’m convinced these places think people will continue to pay. But they won’t - there is always a ceiling. These restaurants will cut their own throat and I have no doubt we’ll see a huge reduction in time as wages are simply not going up as fast.

Gotta admit the last Harvester I had was a bit on the dry side. Looks like they have really upped their game.
Its a good mixed grill they do 😋
The Chef & Brewer one wins it for me as the meat looks much better. 👍
I agree!
The C&B looked better and had a nicer ambience. The prices are getting ridiculous however, it doesn't seem that long ago I was paying around this much for set lunches in Michelin star places.
I was convinced you were going to call it a draw. It was a close thing in my view.
AGREE CHRIS
It was really close, a draw would have been fair too
"Gamon" is another word for ham
Personally? Chef & Brewer edges it.. Only just though, it did look really nice.

The salad bar is a great option to have
The harvester meal look nice with the salad I woud have a big portion of salad I love salad
Its a good thing to offer with a meal, it went well with the mixed grill too
Lol, the "charing" effect is placed on the meat with a hot rod skewer...to give the look of chargrill/barbecue effect.
Chef and Brewer for me too.
🧂🧢🥩
✌🏻🧑🏻🦱✌🏻
The size of the gammon that done it.
Its the biggest piece of gammon i've ever had
Thank you for your reply,
Probably the best British food channel in the world, thus far .

Well done.

Do harvest gived left ov r breakfast
Where is the traditional pork chop? Never had a mixed grill with black pudding or without a pork chop. How say you in chat just wondering
£23 are a bit much when Wetherspoons with drink is £13.15. with 6 onions rings or think £15 for Brewers fayre.

they both look nice but you are paying high for it.
Its is a lot more than Wetherspoons. I wouldn't get them that often, even the Wetherspoons one is every so often
Even though it's salad - it still counts 😆
It does lol
Your leavy greens are pea shots btw
I'd expect more from the chef and brewer at that price and the last mixed grill I had at a harvester was sub par, so neither for me
Chef and brewer
I preferred the harvester to be honest I thowt it didn't look as burnt on the grill as the other one
They're both great, its difficult to choose
Harvester for me - the chicken looked an absolute winner plus no onion rings on the Chef & Brewer!
I know, I love onion rings too
Harvester all the way! And you didn’t even mention the best bit.....the grilled fat on the steak, yum! Cheaper, better looking food.
I really prefer Rotisserie chicken to a normal grilled chicken breast but I have to admit, the second place gave you a huge slice of gammon. I'd probably call it a draw.
The rotisserie chicken was really good, one of the best rotisseries chickens I've had
2nd one x
Me too 😀
Harvester for me. I love the salad bar and the steak from Chef and Brewer was so overdone I couldn't have eaten it like that
the white house meal, looked superior and not much more money. £20 for a mixed grill in harvester, the problem with big menus is the food is going to be frozen. my daughter goes to harvester with her boyfriends family, and she says the food tasts like it comes from iceland
You need to try a mix grill from the hungry horse - might be your first zero out of ten! 😂
Sorry too expensive, gone for curry and chips at the local.
How much is a curry and chips at your local?
@@everydayimeating3407 I take it and don't pay
I have no idea but I think chef n brewer was better 👍🏼
Its a tough call on this one
They did themselves a disservice by just giving two onion rings , it looked mean and o ion ri ngs cost pennies to make a batch of .
2nd one looks like mixed grill
The quality of both meals looked about the same but Harvester is better value.
Is it just me or is the meals getting smaller?
Maybe 🤷♂️
You like everything too much
harvester (tomorrow)
chef and brewer more meat

You drink practically white tea...all milk, no tea bag flavour!
Can I get a pin
But your steak was well over cooked.
Harvester by a country mile !!
Its a great mixed grill there, the chicken was amazing 😋
