How can you crowd young IAS aspirants like that in basement (meant for storing non-explosive goods). Is that premise safe for human habitation even for an hour or too. It shows no rules followed, where human greed rules, creating floor space for any damn purpose. People hiring that space are partly responsible & rather the co-victims, being caught unawares by the turn of events. More than anything else, it isthe lak of basic sense among the citizens. They need to be "senisitised" where commercialisation took over. They must say that this can't be done. They must foresee that such a thing "can" happen (Murphy's law) rather than leaving it as "government's job", with indifference. For this Delhi administration shall be held responsible for (from the Lieutenant Governor, down).

Never touch any object at any place without knowing power supply methods. 1) some free on poles, hanging on floor or in water 2) undergroung cabling from HT to LT transformers in most of metro cities with thick population. 3) water always flood basements without motors to flush water. Even in Chennai, I observe 3 generator backups could not save basement form flooding. 4) mind where is transformer located, which is main culprit. RIP💔
