That's nice to have great little spots to go close to home. ZZ.

Nice views thanks for sharing
Yankee Liv'n thanks for watching!
those are some awesome rock formations, scary place to hike in icy conditions!..beautiful place.....anytime you come across a waterfall, no matter what the size...it is always "good medicine!"...really digging the rock formations!
Plenty more where that came from, Mike :D
Hey Shawn! Great video! Always nice to have weather like this in January! Spring is right around the corner!
I can't wait for Spring, too!
Those are awesome views.
21stcenturyexpeditionist thanks!
Great video Shawn
Thanks!
Can your average car make it down the road to the trailhead? Is overnight parking available for dispersed camping? Great video!!
As long as it isn't really wet (rainy), I can see your car making it. I've seen very small low cars out there. Just drive safely because the road is narrow and not maintained. It is actually considered abandoned so there are a lot of potholes and such. And yes, you can disperse camp! They have spots people commonly camp at or you can find your own spot =) Hope that helps and thanks for watching! :D
Hello Shawn, is this (Jackson falls) located on the outside of Eddyville Illinois? The reason I ask is because I grew up in the house that is located at the beginning of the gravel road that takes you back there to Jackson falls. I didn't recognize much of the terrain /rock formations... The creek that the waterfall empties into didn't even look the same. So I was wondering if you were at the same place as I'm thinking, just up higher on the bluff ridge.
This is the Jackson Falls that you can access from Ozark Road near Eddyville/Ozark, yes. Did you grow up in the house where the old man puts up signs for visitors passing by?
If it's the same place I'm talking about, there is only one house close by the entrance of the gravel road that takes you back to the cave /waterfall area. And that was my house. For some reason my step dad wanted the house to be sky blue.. So, is there a sky blue house at the beginning of the gravel road, that sits off to the right hand side of the road? There's also an old church/cemetery across from the house.. It's called the boulden church.
I'm in a wheelchair now or is film myself going to the Jackson falls I grew up in.
That sounds like it might be a different place unless that is a different way into Jackson Falls.
