I definitely recommend running a magnet through the life source/tank water mixture before putting it in the tank. It is full of magnetic material. Probably not an issue to the system, but there is a surprising amount in there, and it definitely has the potential to cling and collect on the magnetic parts of pumps, impellers etc, and I can only imagine it will cause wear over time
Hey CJ the tank looks great. Your attention to detail and automation are on point. It’s very helpful and I like the way you tackle all of the issues at hand. Keep it up, I really love the rock scape. Job well done. Thank you for your time and sharing with us. Peace my brother :)
Yeah man I've came across your videos but was like meh. The more I watch your channel the more I'm digging it. Your so chill and not dragging the video on n on like others do. So I clicked the sub button as I really do find your channel quite entertaining and most of all like I said how chill you are! You remind me of Than from tidal gardens. He's so relaxing to listen to and your up their with him so keep up the great work my friend!
Your tank always looks decent.Would like to see what the coraline algae brings to it. I personally have seen several products over the years but, mine would just appear and take over without any pushes. I'm doing a larger build right now, and maybe I'll give this a try. Great vid.
Tanks looking really good CJ , well done & keep up the great work. I’ve not used the AF product but I do have life fiji mud which I use , had a few months off but dosed again last week with a water change as I use too & I must say my frimbriphylia defo looks brighter & large the next day , coincident maybe , maybe no 🤷🏻♂️ but I’ll continue to keep dosing it once a fortnight/ month .
Hey CJ, I use it and have observed positive reactions from the corals. The only negative I observed was when I followed the directions on the bag and left my skimmer on. The skimmer did not like the mud and had to clean it. I have observed a slight increase in phosphate and unsure why. But seeing how clear the tank gets days after and how the corals act, I will continue to use it. I do only use about 1/4 of the recommended dose. Keep up the great content!
I noticed nutrient spike but couldn’t confirm was mud because I didn’t test before adding it so I didn’t mention it in the video. I’ll check before and after next dose to confirm and I agree 1/4th dose all you need just enough to cloud the tank. My skimmer pulled majority of it out over a few days I had to clean the neck real good but wasn’t much more to it. Thanks for the feedback 😎✌🏾
My man CJ. I love the build especially the aquascape You inspired me to upgrade my tank to this exact tank from a nano guy. Just a few questions. Where did you place the tank? I want to put it in my living room but afraid that the weight might cause damage to my floor. Do you think this tank is too heavy for standard homes in America? Last question is what is the dimensions of the tank when the side doors are opened? I dont have a big space for it so I wanna make i can open every doors for maintenance. Thanks brother. Subscribed
I’m on 2nd floor apartment and have weight concerns for sure that’s why I didn’t go 100EXT like I originally planned. Tank is 36” wide doors open around 12-14” rough guess. I’d think it would be fine on a house floor but if in doubt find out which way your beams run under the house. Good luck 🫡💯
I did use it for year now. It increased activity of fish. Corals specially lps showed more puffiness. And copepods population increased as well chaeto grow like crazy. Great product but if you over dose you can get cyano and bacterial bloom.
Hi friend, your tank is spectacular, I congratulate you. One question, how are you doing with the AF LIFE SOURCE? I use all the products of this brand but I don't know how this product is, some say it is very good, others say it contains heavy metals. One last thing could you show the configuration of your lights, I'm a little confused on that topic. thanks for your help and congratulations
Probably so but it’s been tested and not toxic for reef tanks according to Aqua-forest it’s magnetic volcanic ash and is collected from places corals currently thrive. I can’t do much more but document my tank the truth always comes out eventually 🫡

Tank is looking great and I can’t wait to see the spots of coralline algae start to appear and grow over the next few months!
Liking the aquascape in that tank!
Tank is looking stunning, been following this build since ep1 , everything looks so good now 😍
Your tank looks awesome!

Do you have a link for that sand stir broom you use? Love the video it’s fire as always 🔥🙌🔥

Hi C.J.
Any long term review on the Af lifesource.
Thanks
No I stopped using it for chunks of time hard to gauge its effectiveness
Have you thought about running just 2 of the gyers? it might look a little more clean.
Peak is too close to the surface for a duel gyre setup… also easier to get standing wave with the mp40 tuning abilities

Feel free to check out these videos on my lighting
Coraline in a bag. Interesting
Not exactly - two diff things in this video added same time 🫡
Are you still dosing af life source? Do you think it made a difference?
Occasionally.. I used it to help fight Dino’s recently as well. Hard to say the impact yet still need more uses
Did your algae/ bacteria issues come from this mud?
I wouldn’t believe so
If you use a magnetic stirrer for the mud, any metal will stick to the magnet.
Probably so but it’s been tested and not toxic for reef tanks according to Aqua-forest it’s magnetic volcanic ash and is collected from places corals currently thrive. I can’t do much more but document my tank the truth always comes out eventually 🫡
Did the magnetic stuff in the mud harm the pumps ?
👍
And what is the "mud" for exactly?
I’d suggest doing homework on it yourself beyond what I said in the video
The mud is from the Fiji reef. It's mud from the ocean of Fiji. BRS has a video about it.
Can corals grow on top of the coraline algae?
Yes it won’t stop them
Pretty messy for sure
