- Spring 2023 we have put 9 box store garden soils to the test.
We have planted 9 eighteen gallon containers with two plants each of a Early Jersey Wakefeild cabbage.
Over the period of 60 days we kept sunlight,water,temperature and pest treatment’s as equal as possible across all 9 containers to see what garden soil would perform the best.
After we harvest this cabbage we have planned to immediately plant squash in these same containers to continue stress testing the soil over the summer.

The next soil test we do i plan on adding some big names like fox farms.
I really want to see if the high end soils are worth the money.
I plan on that test being done this fall and i will likely do cabbage again because it is a heavy feeder and great visual for the camera.
