😅 Yeah thankfully, most of them only post videos once a week, and they are only 15 minutes long. Also, we do not watch public television, at all. 🙋♀️Vera
Pro tip for perfect high fives, look at the other person's elbow while swinging your arm forward. Works every time. Great video as always, favourite part of my Sunday mornings 😁
If there are any UA-camrs that I'd like to invite to dinner, they would be Christian and Vera. What a wonderful, cheerful pair they are. Unfortunately, Mr. Putin has made Russia a no-go zone and they would need to drive across Russia to get to my home in Japan. Just a few hours drive...nothing much really. However, just as Vera got so excited about getting her cross country skis out, Japan too got excited and we had a 4.5 magnitude quake. Fortunately, it was 150km deep, so not so much shake on the surface to cause alarm let alone any damage. We LR drivers get so excited. Can you imagine Toyota drivers having such an effect? 🤣
Wow, I wasn't aware about this Stuttgart thing😳. Thank you for bringing it up. Yesterday I had the opportunity to work on an old little lathe from 1936. That reminded me to Christians wonderful workshop.👍
I think it's great you did a video about some of the smaller jobs (on the LRs). Most people won't pull and rebuild an engine like you did, but many may be able to tackle some of the nuisance repairs like parking sensors. Nice job!!
Ahh, how nice to wake up to a new video! I don't know if you take English language comments, but I have wanted to discuss where you use "very well" for a while, but I wasn't quite sure how to explain it, until today I realised that it is exactly the same as in German. If in German you would say "sehr gut", then say "very good". If in German you would say "sehr wohl" (not in the "doch" sense, but in the "wie geht es dir" sense), then in English say "very well" (which can also mean something like "fine", with a little sarcasm or stubbornness). Complicated to explain, hopefully you know what I mean.
We have lived in the US for almost 10 years and are quite familiar with the English language. However, we speak American English, not British English. We do know what very well means and I think we use accordingly. Also, we do not think in German, then translate, and then speak. We think in English and speak intuitively. 😀👍🙋♀️Vera
That was really good and full of your usual humour 🤣 Lovely walk in the snow ❄️ at the end 👍🏻 Well done again Vera & Christian for a Sunday afternoon of entertainment 😆🏴
Yes be careful with the English “reaching in for a hand job “ perhaps “Vera in lending a helping hand “ might fit better, ( amd it’s still there if u want it 😂 ) great channel and couple . Defo would have them over for dinner . If they would have me 😂
Hey! Brilliant, you guys certainly get a lot done in a weekend 😉. The spare plug behind the rear bumper is for the 7 or 13 pin auxiliary plug harness, which is what I plugged mine into. Strangely though, when I put it back together the plug worked fine, but the rear sensors have stopped working, and to be honest, I can't be arsed to take it all apart again 😂. I never really relied on them much anyway. It must have been nice for you when Vera "lent" you a hand 😉😂. See you next week
Superb entertainment as always. Well done Vera for excellent management (that To Do list) and well done Christian for getting so much of the list completed. Also, another well done to Christian for even more double entendres in a second language - hugely impressive. Car Care Nut (AMD) is my other favourite car repair channel - and though I love LRs, AMD's channel has been one of the reasons that I'm looking for a Toyota... (I need reliability, and due to disability am not able to do much car repair/maintenance myself any longer). Keep up the good work, already looking forward to next week's episode! PS I was trying to work out in my head how much the parking sensors fix would have cost at the dealership, including parts I wouldn't be surprised if the bill would be north of £500... well done for sorting this out in one afternoon.
Thanks. I think a oem sensor is around 100 and they would change all four unless you know yourself which one is bad. Bumper on/off is sure 2 hours regular. So I guess 500 max cut short indeed. We paid 2x28 Euro. Thanks 🙏 Christian
Love the speeded up bits , they are so funny . That American Car guy needs to drink less coffee and get Laid for sure lol 😂 I'm so jealous of the heated steering wheel on your new "Bad Ass Black ", "Mall Crawler " Christian .

😅👍For our video next week, I spent 4 ours in the freezing cold, standing still. And you will enjoy it in 18 minutes. And wouldn't you believe, there are actually people who think it only took that long. Desktop mechanics. 😂🙋♀️Vera
@@WaldosWorld Same here. We actually wanted to buy one this year, instead of the new Mall Crawler, and went deep into the research. Christian even considered flying to Slovenia to look at one, but they are either too expensive, or too rusty. The ones that are affordable have a engine that will fail. We don't need antoher one of those. 😅🙋♀Vera

English maybe your second language but you’re pretty good at it. Ok there were a couple of innuendos (deliberate or accidental) that were amusing and added to the fun of your channel. As a Toyota Landcruiser owner there are actually a couple of jobs that need more than one hand. The engine water thermostat was a bit testing, it involved removing the alternator, and struggling with a very long extension bar and a wobbly universal socket, oh and a lot of swearing! But that was the most tricky job I’ve done, not much else has broken and that’s with 370,000 miles on the clock! It’s always fun watching your videos, keep them coming.
We have the ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone) in London which will be expanding out to a much greater area in August this year. Unfortunately that means we will have to sell on our LR4. As we aren't fans of the LR5 shape and can't afford to buy a new Defender, this looks like the end of the road for our Land Rover journey that started with our LR3 around 8 years ago.
It is all part of the agenda to get rid of cars etc and stop people from travelling from their own 15 minute zone from their house that they can cycle and back in that time that they are going to bring in as well. Our governments and councils etc are puppets of the Mafias behind this agenda and the people need to stand up and put a stop to it all - you will find out who these Mafias are and their agenda by watching the video The Democracy Illusion on my channel and how the governments etc do NOT work for the people.
Just when I think you are turning English you go and do something like tear apart the entire rear end to fix some parking sensors. The bumper and whatever noise the thing makes that you back into is the parking sensor!
Growing up in New Zealand, used Japanese imports were very cheap so that's what I (mostly) owned. After moving to Sydney, I discover that Japanese cars are expensive! So I have since then owned Alfa Romeo, Jaguar and now LR - used of course. I miss my old Toyota Celica, but European cars are much more interesting.
You very fortunate Discovery 3&4 owners , to have this knowledge through this excellent talk / show , but a waste of time to Toyota owners 😊😊😊😂😂😂😂 Great stuff Vera and Christian
You are sure welcome with the Mercedes in Stuttgart! Great episode guys! Loved the mountain "Hiking" at the end. I can barely walk on flat ground normally( balance issues) but at moment am on crutches after a fall three plus weeks ago I crocked my knee then twisted it again a week ago and had to go to hospital. Now I'm waiting for MRI prior to a decision about an artificial knee replacement. The biggest problem with the Land Rover parking sensor system is that If one of them stops working, the whole system stops working. I'm not sure Christian if your Disco3 has got front parking sensors, (I suspect not otherwise Land Rover would not be able to charge a premium for the extra stuff on a Range Rover ) my 2006 Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged has front and rear parking sensors, one has failed in the rear and the complete system has stopped working. They could have at least split the systems into front and back, but hey! That's Land Rover for you lol
The Mall Crawler has front parking sensors. I think Fabian's Disco 3 also has them. Must be a HSE thingy. Hope everything is alright and you get better soon. 👍🙋♀️Vera
