Hey, bro..... thanks a bunch for this. I'm sitting here at 5 am Saturday morning drinking my coffee watching your video with my cat (wife is out of town this week). I appreciate your insight on this. Helps me out a ton. Cheers, brother.
I've been DJing with these speakers for a couple months now, over wired connection of course using a 20ft balanced xlr to connect them it sounds great and they get loud enough that i've been asked to turn down the music, the bass is super good on them so good that i often only turn the bass boost on one of them, the lights are a nice addition too though they get out of sync occasionally (nobody tends to notice though), the bluetooth is not great considering that the mic inputs dont go to the other speaker but i did do a wedding ceremony with them connected over the TWS on each side of the room and it worked well enough if i were to do it again i would definitely get a sound board to run the mic through to the other one (it was a metal building so you could barely tell it only came from one speaker) overall they are a great low cost of entry speaker, these would also be great to for a home movie theater and would probably sound better than most sound bar and sub kits you can get for the same price
Good to know that they are holding up well. I have yet to push them like that. I definitely think using a central mixer for sources, mics, external Bluetooth receiver etc. Is the way to go for best results.
@@WalkTheSkies The Behringer DDM 4000 that I'm showing in the video is my pick for a DJ situation. It's all digital, has a ton of effects and has balanced XLR outputs. They don't make them anymore and they can range anywhere from $200-$500 (Used or New Old Stock). I've picked up 4 of them throughout the years when I find them at a good price. I literally leave one on all day everyday...for 10+ years so they hold up well.
Yeah i had this issue on one of my ion total pa ultimates and it kept turning off and hitting super hard on the back of the amp because you have to have the volume on your phone turned up all the way for these speakers and adjust with the knob on the back
The tripods could cost 100$ Included and great for outdoor situations BBQs. Etc The battery situat😮ion is not that big a deal considering thats the first thing to go and is expensive I got 2 and they are alot easier to set up than crown amps ,mixing board and outboard gear!! The only fallback for me is the wired microphone!! For a pa system wireless is a must!! All in alll the bass boost is awesome and i give them a thumbs up! Now i just need a inverter for the truck that can orovide the wattage needed!!
Nice i have a ion total pa max which i had for about 7 years now with no problems until now. I was thinking about buying this speaker. I saw it at my local sams club for 160$ but i wasnt sure if the audio would be good or not. Because i never heard about this brand so i bought a ion total pa ultimate for 180$. The sound quality is absolutely insane for the price.
I just tried the XLR output speaker A to XLR input speaker B. It continued sound from speaker A to speaker B in FM, BT, and 1/8 aux modes. I didn't try USB flash drive but would definitely work like other modes I'm sure. The mic worked in all modes, BUT mic sound only comes through A, it doesn't continue with music to B.
Yep just holding down the light mode for 2 seconds shuts them off. There has been alot of negative feedback about them timing out and shutting down after about 20 min. I've found the best work around is just to twist the volume one notch. They come back to life with all settings saved. (Rather than resetting the power switch and starting over)
@@Izmond I have found that different USB drives order tracks differently. Most seem to work with numeric titles,...so try re-naming the files starting with 01 or 001 if you have 10's or hundreds of tracks.
Can you treat these speakers as if they're just powered speakers and connect a mixer with effects to get to a desired results? Run the mixer L and R channels to two of these or L and R to mono channel in just one speaker?
My X6 says USB on the box and manual but when I switch modes USB is the only one not popping up. I have tried with my IPod plugged in USB port and also with nothing in that port??
Also interesting, I bought 2 off the same shelf, same time, same model number. One of them DOES NOT have USB mode, the port is charging port only. The manual and box are identical except it leaves out USB in the description on box and manual. Also, on the one without USB input, the "repeat" button/function is a "clock" button instead.
@@evanbordetsky8417 I'm not a guitar player but I would guess it has to do with the pickup microphone in your guitar not jiving with the preamp in the mic input. I would suggest running through another preamp of your choice and then running to the speaker so that the speaker's only job is amplification of a "known good" signal
Had a question I bought two of the speakers to DJ with and then I just bought another pair. Is it possible to link all four speakers together to dj with or can I only do two?
Only a passive connection. Such as an RCA connection out of said amplifier. NEVER use speaker line outs ot of your amplifier....this is an ACTIVE speaker which has its own onboard amp.
@@flhousemusicI only want to amplify the sound. Can it be done and if so how? Sorry for the ignorance. I’m am less than a novice when it comes to this stuff.
The aux in is great. But keep in mind it is only going to be as good as the source going into it. Also if you load your mp3s on to a flashdrive and use the USB, the speaker becomes your mp3 player.... Less wires, more portable, and may sound better.
I don't think you can pull files from an iPod but I purchase each of my songs from iTunes so they are on my hard drive and can transfer to other hard drives.
Excellent bass. There's a bass boost button that's great. If you get towards maximizeing out the volume you will turn bass boost off and use the eq which is treble/bass -6/+6
RMS is not given in the manual. Max SPL is around 110db. It's not a reliable theory, but I always assume RMS power to be about half the rated max power.
I actually have a question, So if I Compare Monster x6 with a JBL, Harbinger, or QSC, Do they sound much Loud then the Monster with DB of SPL and RMS Power??
Anyone purchasing with the intent to use USB be careful. There are 2 versions of this speaker with identical model numbers. Make sure the box specifically says USB on the feature listing, some dont
Have you tried connecting a laptop via bluetooth and playing audio from the laptop? I've done that with Soundcore and Anker speakers, but I need something like this X6 or a RR360 if the laptop connecting is a go!
dude why do you care about stereo these are not for watching movies. listen this is not concert equipment these are $200 party speakers and serve that purpose well.

This is a great review!
Do you hate Bluetooth for any reason other than your holding on to your old ways and won’t let go?
I don't hate it all. I just find that it has alot of limitations in more professional situations (particularly with these speakers)
@@flhousemusic I agree, waiting for the day Bluetooth supports lossless audio
so you can't plug in an XLR cord into the output and plug it into the other speaker to get sound out of both if you have a mic plugged in?
I haven't tried that yet. I'm not sure if it's just "pass through" audio or combines the sinal from the internal mixer
