Making theories is fun, the whole point of it is to see what you can figure out given whatever info you have in hand, then compare it later to when you have even more info to make new theories. No need to tell how other people like to approach things. You play Genshin your way, and enjoy the content that others have produced with their approach.
I really like Neuvillette's gameplay, and it really fits his character personality. It feels as if father came and saved 7 years old me and my friends and didn't brake a sweat ❤ River I am really looking forward to see your playthrough!
just to make one thing clear Archons are not immortal so their theories have a basis and Neuvillette has an idle animation where he stops the rain around him like in the trailer btw since it's information that you won't have access to since you didn't play in 4.0 before Neuvillette was released in 4.1 it didn't rain in Fontaine but now it rains from time to time and especially it rains when you go to certain places in Fontaine there's like 100% chance of raining if you go to a certain location

And some character personality details are mentioned. Hoyoverse is getting so good with the trailers. Not only the version trailers but the teasers und demos too. There is so much visual storytelling, really good cuts, symbolism and the music is just wow. Hoyoverse clearly has a favorite at the moment. So much good Neuvillette content. I think he is the first Catalyst user I like playing. Except Heizou and maybe soon Wriothesley because I really like characters who just punch stuff :D
Neuvillette is one of the best characters and I’m building him up to be my main hydro dps . Lately, these teasers and character demos have put us through a river of emotions and we should be getting Wriothesly’s demo soon as he’s coming out this Tuesday

Good video! It's cool that you came back and rewatched the trailer to come to a new perspective. Neuvillette is a character that gives off a certain vibe, then once you meet him you become surprised by his personality. (At least I was.) There's a lot going on with him as a character, and some of it you aren't going to get until you play the game, but it's always fun seeing your thoughts. Neuvillette is pretty much my new favorite Genshin character... He really intrigues me. And I expected to love him, just not this much. He's very well written, his voice actor is fantastic, his design is gorgeous, he's strong, and actually a lot of fun to play. I'm super glad I got him. Dude! I swear, even though you still haven’t yet play Genshin. Every time I watch your genshin analysis videos it rekindles my love for this game. I legitimately think Hoyoverse should sponsor you lol, your videos are always so thought provoking. No cleaver word play here, but I can cry you a “river?” Btw to be quick Following Genshins character releases every Archon becomes available on every 2nd patch of their respective regions, Raiden for 2.2, and Nahida for 3.2 etc… Point is not spoilers and to no one’s surprise Furina will be coming up soon, and I would like to put in my two cents here. Excluding the story obviously and talking as a graphic designer/“artist” Furina’s character designs is one of the most interesting character design Geshin’s ever come up with and everytime I see her I can’t help but focus on her eyes, granted as of right now Furina’s whole identity still remains a mystery to us the player. That being said however as a designer I know that every single pixel of a character design is 100% intentional. Knowing this, I can’t help but entertain my personal theory of Furina being not one entity but two in one body. Not a split personality per se, but maybe another different voice in her head constantly talking to her? Or maybe yes, a split personality? Who knows. But Furina’s heterochromia is 1000% not just for show. I know that Candace from Sumeru does also have heterochromia but it seems that hoyoverse gave Furina more heterochromia then Candace, seeing as not only does Furina have different colored eyes, but also mirrored inverted versions of her eyes. This detail not only pops out but screams to me and my designer brain.
Also, she wears a white glove on one hand and a black glove on the other. Right now I'm going with the idea that Focalors isn't all there in Furina right now, whether deliberately or through misadventure, and her body was designed (we're pretty sure that a Gnosis provides access to the knowledge and capacity to design and build a living body from the ground up, and it seems every archon has used that in different ways over the centuries) to be a vessel for the complete "her". Not that there's a clear difference, as the summer event proved Hydro is very suitable for messing around with the basic concept of identity and numbers.

Maybe one day... :') As for Furina, I've been thinking about that too recently and was maybe going to get more into that when we see more of her in the trailers. I love the amount of details and story is put into these character designs.
neuvilette is honestly one of the most fun characters to play. i was worried about the standing still thing too when i first saw this, but honestly, it's great. it's really fun. p.s: rip me getting him on the first day he came out and still struggling to get good artifacts for him despite playing every day p.s 2: river ❤

Playing again on a second account I get why some people stop. The game has such a slow start especially at low AR. Some grinding takes forever. I fell in love with the game not in Monstadt but Liyue. Inazuma was rough for me but Sumeru and fontaine are just on point and really good.
@@zillo1600 Same with Liyue! I had a moment when I was tired of the game and it became very monotonous for me. I've been playing since patch 1.1 and until 1.6 there was no breath of fresh air, with the exception of the Dragonspine (but it's small). Comparing the beginning of the game and what is in it now, this is truly like heaven and earth. I couldn't even imagine how rich this game would be. I'm glad they improved it in everything they could.
@@axx0nn yeah it was really a blessing having mondstedt and Liyue since release. Only Monstadt and I didn't know I would have continued. And some stuff at the release was a bit rough. Having to spend resin for event rewards or unable to use characters that were on expeditions. They can improve so much more but I am glad about the things we did. It was a very different game at the beginning.

Personally I feel that once Nuvelette understandes his existance (or his reincarnations) he might change his personality, maybe he wont be as calm and collected as we see him now. That kind and sweet voice that spoke to him, might have been because he did something wrong and had to make a choice perior to the event of his reincarnation...just me doing random analysis, not as acute as you do it. And also there is still a "river" of other videos that you can still react to...such as...the manga and Honki Impact3 and also few other gacha game that are out there, btw a new gacha game thats gonna be released in 2024 globally is this one "breakers: unlock the world", have a look at it if you like, I found it very intresting and its on my list to play games lol. It dont have much videos but there is a gameplay of it.

Many of the information you analyzed and presented to us. To be honest, there is both true information. and very wrong information But as you have never played this game once and analyzed it through the Trailer and PV on UA-cam.I admit that you are very talented. You don't have to be disappointed. In the Trailer and PV, they don't have all the information and there is some information that is intended to trick our understanding and thinking from other angles. However, you will understand and know more when playing this game with your theories and doubts.
You get used to being wrong: I saw problems with my own theory as soon as I realized nobody in Fontaine seems aware of more than one basic problem threatening the nation. (I originally counted four, none of which Focalors could directly oppose without opening the field up to the other three. And I'm still not sure where two of those went beyond "not visibly written in".) That doesn't mean the basic idea that Focalors is running a long game is invalidated, but if so it'll be more of a mess resulting from things going very wrong early on than the exquisite choreographed magic show I'd been hoping for.
what a burden to bear such negative emotions from peoples that arguing, mock each others etc., but he still hold it for the responsible that furina-like voice given to him....even until clearing the 4.1 archon quest i still dont know what furina doing, is she just make a poker face? act like childish eventhough she's the archon ? maybe only the "river" of times will answer this...and yeah cant wait for you to play this game, thx so much roschi :)
I gotta say, I use Ayato and Neuvillette and I honestly enjoy them a lot. Both are very stoic and have minimal movements in their kits, but the impact of their skills and the amount of dmg output they have makes it so worth it. I also find it very elegant and cool af, but that's more of my opinion, visually speaking. There's just something about precise and calculated movements that is so satisfying to watch! PS: I can't wait for you to start playing the game and finally getting to know the whole truth! And maybe get Neuvillette during his reruns hehe, make sure you stay close to bodies of water while using him, say, a lake or a river... he'll appreciate it! lol
/popcorn Really can't wait until you get to play through the story. Was wondering if you will be recording your playthrough (even if you don't show all of it) for analysis purposes. I believe you said for Archon quesrs, but as the game has matured a lot, A LOT, of lore is actually locked behind the various world quests and not so much the Archon quests. For Neuvillette's stoicism in combat, I myself am not the biggest fan. He's basically just the standing man emoji, but it does fit his character, so... I can't really fault it I guess?

I would personally love to chat with Neuvillette while on a river boat cruise or something. He's just so insightful, yet naive in some ways. I'm loving Neuvillette so much. I won't be spoiling much. I'll first talk about his combat mechanics. He is a charged attack main dps. The water hydro pump you see him doing towards the end is his charged attack, and it deals massive damage to all in the line. So your gameplay is aimed at maximizing his ability to fire off several charged attacks in quick succession with the help of his skill and burst. While unleashing his hydro pump, he's floating above the ground and you can float around while hydro pumping. It's great, lots of fun. It goes without saying that Neuvillette is one of the main characters in Fontaine. There's a prophecy with the rain in Fontaine in regards to Neuvillette. You'll see in act 1 of Fontaine when you get there. In act 4, Neuvillette mentioned a bit about the origins of the gnoses, and I have a feeling that info will come into play in act 5. I'm super curious how whatever is happening in Fontaine will resolve. There was an event story in version 1.1 that brought out something incredibly shocking. The sky is fake. This info luckily is brought out again in one of the main archon quests at some point (won't tell you when). And I can't help but link it with the crack in the sky at the end of the demo. But I'm more of the opinion that something is about to gush forth from the cracking, rather than something about the sky is fake. Who knows, we'll find out in about just a bit over 3 weeks. The second round sure shows how much you think about the theory and the Rivers of thoughts you get through. Well, for your question if there were archons before the current ons, Sence this is not a spoiler I can answer it. Yes, with the exception of the Geo archon all the other archons are not the original, the process of how the new archon came to be is still unknown, HOWEVER the voice in the trailer was Furina because Egeria (the previous Hydro archon) voice is differernt

Fontaine is anything but straight forward its all about Deceprion and lies even calling Furina "bratty" is a bit much even if on suface is accurate we do know she has a deeper side since she is the one that wants Nevuillete to soscialize with the people. The pretty voice you heard is Furinas just when she is serious. Honestly nobody know wtf is going on we can only assume fatui know and Furina to some extent know but non of them of course would reaveal it
Oh I'm aware. Check out some of my other videos about it if you're interested in any of that! I think I've mentioned how it's all about deception and illusions more times than I can count. XD I'm VERY interested in Fontaine for this very reason.
Ah yes. Neuvillette and rain. Rain and Neuvillette. Mh-hmmmmm. People who know, know. 🥲 The connection between Neuvillette and water flows like a river, so to speak. About his kit, yes. When you use his normal attacks, he doesn't move much. But you don't use his NA most of the time, instead you use his charged attack (the Kamehameha) and during that he can move around very freely. It looks kind of funny, actually. 😂 But yes. Great video. I applaud. 👏👏 Neuvi is really villain coded in this one, huh. But maybe that's just because he is such a commanding presence, like you said. And when you're working in the legal system, you're confronted with negativity every single day. What's also funny is that in his voice line about trials, Neuvillette admits that he is no fan of them, different from many other Fontainians who see them as entertainment. He is only doing this job to fulfill his duties which is kind of sad, since he has been 'fulfilling his duties' for several hundred years. Love the character. Also love your reaction. It's funny how in the initial reaction you are clearly biased with your thoughts of Neuvillette destroying all of Fontaine, but I can see where this impression comes from. Most of us thought he'd be a villain after the Overture Teaser, after all. 😊
Yeah I was stuck on the thought of him being 100% bad for so long based off of some subtle imagery which could have easily been misinterpreted. Wrong or right, if felt good to expand my mind and give the demo a second shot. I think both views are valid for someone who knows very little about Fontaine or game for that matter. Personally I feel that once Nuvelette understandes his existance (or his reincarnations) he might change his personality, maybe he wont be as calm and collected as we see him now. That kind and sweet voice that spoke to him, might have been because he did something wrong and had to make a choice perior to the event of his reincarnation...just me doing random analysis, not as acute as you do it.
And also there is still a "river" of other videos that you can still react to...such as...the manga and Honki Impact3 and also few other gacha game that are out there, btw a new gacha game thats gonna be released in 2024 globally is this one "breakers: unlock the world", have a look at it if you like, I found it very intresting and its on my list to play games lol. It dont have much videos but there is a gameplay of it.

Many of the information you analyzed and presented to us. To be honest, there is both true information. and very wrong information But as you have never played this game once and analyzed it through the Trailer and PV on UA-cam.I admit that you are very talented. You don't have to be disappointed. In the Trailer and PV, they don't have all the information and there is some information that is intended to trick our understanding and thinking from other angles. However, you will understand and know more when playing this game with your theories and doubts.
Right or wrong, I'm not disappointed in the slightest. It'll be great to discover it all for myself. I look forward to it. :)

You get used to being wrong: I saw problems with my own theory as soon as I realized nobody in Fontaine seems aware of more than one basic problem threatening the nation. (I originally counted four, none of which Focalors could directly oppose without opening the field up to the other three. And I'm still not sure where two of those went beyond "not visibly written in".) That doesn't mean the basic idea that Focalors is running a long game is invalidated, but if so it'll be more of a mess resulting from things going very wrong early on than the exquisite choreographed magic show I'd been hoping for.

what a burden to bear such negative emotions from peoples that arguing, mock each others etc., but he still hold it for the responsible that furina-like voice given to him....even until clearing the 4.1 archon quest i still dont know what furina doing, is she just make a poker face? act like childish eventhough she's the archon ? maybe only the "river" of times will answer this...and yeah cant wait for you to play this game, thx so much roschi :)

I gotta say, I use Ayato and Neuvillette and I honestly enjoy them a lot. Both are very stoic and have minimal movements in their kits, but the impact of their skills and the amount of dmg output they have makes it so worth it. I also find it very elegant and cool af, but that's more of my opinion, visually speaking. There's just something about precise and calculated movements that is so satisfying to watch!
PS: I can't wait for you to start playing the game and finally getting to know the whole truth! And maybe get Neuvillette during his reruns hehe, make sure you stay close to bodies of water while using him, say, a lake or a river... he'll appreciate it! lol

Really can't wait until you get to play through the story. Was wondering if you will be recording your playthrough (even if you don't show all of it) for analysis purposes. I believe you said for Archon quesrs, but as the game has matured a lot, A LOT, of lore is actually locked behind the various world quests and not so much the Archon quests.
For Neuvillette's stoicism in combat, I myself am not the biggest fan. He's basically just the standing man emoji, but it does fit his character, so... I can't really fault it I guess?

I would personally love to chat with Neuvillette while on a river boat cruise or something. He's just so insightful, yet naive in some ways.
I'm loving Neuvillette so much. I won't be spoiling much. I'll first talk about his combat mechanics. He is a charged attack main dps. The water hydro pump you see him doing towards the end is his charged attack, and it deals massive damage to all in the line. So your gameplay is aimed at maximizing his ability to fire off several charged attacks in quick succession with the help of his skill and burst. While unleashing his hydro pump, he's floating above the ground and you can float around while hydro pumping. It's great, lots of fun.
It goes without saying that Neuvillette is one of the main characters in Fontaine. There's a prophecy with the rain in Fontaine in regards to Neuvillette. You'll see in act 1 of Fontaine when you get there. In act 4, Neuvillette mentioned a bit about the origins of the gnoses, and I have a feeling that info will come into play in act 5. I'm super curious how whatever is happening in Fontaine will resolve.
There was an event story in version 1.1 that brought out something incredibly shocking. The sky is fake. This info luckily is brought out again in one of the main archon quests at some point (won't tell you when). And I can't help but link it with the crack in the sky at the end of the demo. But I'm more of the opinion that something is about to gush forth from the cracking, rather than something about the sky is fake. Who knows, we'll find out in about just a bit over 3 weeks. Well, for your question if there were archons before the current ons, Sence this is not a spoiler I can answer it. Yes, with the exception of the Geo archon all the other archons are not the original, the process of how the new archon came to be is still unknown, HOWEVER the voice in the trailer was Furina because Egeria (the previous Hydro archon) voice is differernt

Fontaine is anything but straight forward its all about Deceprion and lies even calling Furina "bratty" is a bit much even if on suface is accurate we do know she has a deeper side since she is the one that wants Nevuillete to soscialize with the people. The pretty voice you heard is Furinas just when she is serious. Honestly nobody know wtf is going on we can only assume fatui know and Furina to some extent know but non of them of course would reaveal it

Ah yes. Neuvillette and rain. Rain and Neuvillette. Mh-hmmmmm. People who know, know. 🥲 The connection between Neuvillette and water flows like a river, so to speak.
About his kit, yes. When you use his normal attacks, he doesn't move much. But you don't use his NA most of the time, instead you use his charged attack (the Kamehameha) and during that he can move around very freely. It looks kind of funny, actually. 😂
But yes. Great video. I applaud. 👏👏 Neuvi is really villain coded in this one, huh. But maybe that's just because he is such a commanding presence, like you said. And when you're working in the legal system, you're confronted with negativity every single day. What's also funny is that in his voice line about trials, Neuvillette admits that he is no fan of them, different from many other Fontainians who see them as entertainment. He is only doing this job to fulfill his duties which is kind of sad, since he has been 'fulfilling his duties' for several hundred years.
Love the character. Also love your reaction. It's funny how in the initial reaction you are clearly biased with your thoughts of Neuvillette destroying all of Fontaine, but I can see where this impression comes from. Most of us thought he'd be a villain after the Overture Teaser, after all. 😊
Yeah I was stuck on the thought of him being 100% bad for so long based off of some subtle imagery which could have easily been misinterpreted.
Wrong or right, if felt good to expand my mind and give the demo a second shot. I think both views are valid for someone who knows very little about Fontaine or game for that matter. Making this video was a lot of fun.
