For most neutral colour reproduction, a movie scene is the ideal picture to test on as you are looking to match the producer camera settings. The OLED set to movie will be the closest you can get to D65 white balance . So for the QLED to look natural on all content and as close as to the OLED full potential repeat the test with Movie mode on. Natural mode is not bad at all but it normally exhibit too much red or Blue and that would be far off from Movie near accurate colours without being calibrated professionally. I hope this helps

Hi. Thank you for your great technical reviews. I bought a Samsung Q70A
55 inch yesterday. There is a problem with colors on this TV. For
example Sponge Bob cartoon, the Sponge Bob has a very dark yellow color.
You think there is a little bit green mixed with yellow or for example,
I watched Nat Geo ( not from satellite, by LAN) and the faces were kind
of pink instead of natural skin tone. I tried to reduce the color or
contrast or testing other picture settings but the problem is still
there. What should I do? It's a bummer!

Very true. I tried to use the same philosophy on my old Hitachi LED as well as my Samsung gaming monitor and the results were as you described. However, applying The Tech Giant's settings on my Q6DR (Q60R) resulted in no loss of detail in the backs at all, simply improved their inkiness. I copied your settings for my Q60R (contrast at 48) and think it looks amazing! Thanks for the tip! YOU GOT A NEW SUB! 🤟😎
TIP for OLED like Game Mode: If you play in HDR and are having troubles achieving an inky black, especially with Cyberpunk 2077, do the following - Turn off Intelligent mode, lower the brightness and contrast (-2, 48), Contrast Enhancer to Low, and make sure in the Game Mode Settings that Black Enhancer is *off*. On PC you can't adjust colour, tint, and of course Contrast Enhancer has been replaced by Gamma. That's ok, just make sure you select BT and not 2.2 Standard and keep it at 0. Keep Colour Tone to Standard but this is a personal preference as I find, especially with PC, the colour is already accurate (because Windows/Mac automatically treats the QLED as a PC monitor uses it's built in calibrated/native colour profile). Oh, and for Windows users, in the AMD/NVIDIA control panel make sure the output is set to 4:4:4 PC standard and that 10-Bit is enabled, otherwise you will get nasty colour banding and dithering.

I have the 2 technologies it is true that for 2 years Samsung has improved a lot!
I have difficulty making the difference between black levels, contrasts and angle of vision.
I still have a preference for Samsung which brings more brightness!
in the video games on my CX sometimes I have trouble seeing the enemies and the whole game .
on some Netflix series it's the same--> it's too dark at times,
so I increase the oled panel and brightness but I gray the blacks and we lose too many details.
where with my Q950r I have no worries.
The C8 was brighter in 2018 but the fast motion compensation was bad (visible artifacts)
      it was mediocre.
and it's still bad on that on C9 and CX,
there are still imperfections that can be seen
I change TV several times a year, I also tested the Panasonic Gz2000 recognized as "the brightest oled model in the world" ...
hum hum... I'm not convinced 🤔
I think that the oled has given everything it could where the LCD has never stopped progressing...
even if it hasn't always been very good.
      Now I could be wrong,
but I sincerely believe that the oled is no longer able to bring anything new,
in all brands, except for additions such as Hdmi 2.1, no change since 2017/2018 .
I can't wait to see what happens next at 2021😁.

a very good job; and i concur; instead of movie mode; the picture looks more rich in the natural mode; so i agree with you on the settings; i have a 2018 Q8; and it was killing me how when watching the apple tv box and using the NBA app why my screen looked so white out; until i followed your guidelines...and now the games and arena and background looks more rich....and as you say; you might have to make a few tweeks for different apps and hdmi settings; but nothing beats a washed out picture....

I got a Samsung 65 Q80T 2 days ago, first tried the rtings settings looke crap, then tried the avsforum settings looked green tinged lol. Then tried these settings and they are great 👍
The only problem I have is because it's natural mode when a HDR source is used it doesn't change the settings ie max the brightness and contrast just stays at these settings. And if I try and change the settings it changes them across the board so for SDR also. The HDR symbol shows on the natural mode logo in options but I don't think it is changing anything as none of the settings change, the brightness which switches to max (50) when you use movie mode from whatever it is in movie mode in SDR doesn't work like that in natural mode.
Anyone know a workaround as I like these settings but want the brightness and contrast to max when hdr material is played like it does in movie mode but reverts back to SDR settings when that is played.
I did try these exact settings in movie mode but looks washed out.
    Please help!!

Tried the settings on my Q85R and can attest to the great picture. Had a LG B7 in the past but passed onto the parents due to image retention issues (square box in the centre, most likely from Xbox dashboard). I go QLED for this reason and I am soured on OLED. But OLED had great inky blacks and with this setup, QLED has the advantage of more popping of colour and brightness. Tried Fifa 21, Last of Us 2 and Forza 7 and they look tremendous. For me I found that Standard was the best starting point but natural is great also

The Tech Giant I’m sure if you apply the same settings to it ( like in this video) then it’ll be the same as oled. I was considering an oled for the brilliant picture quality but I was really worried about screen burn and the fact the manufacturer won’t do anything about it if it did. This tv has a 10 year anti ‘screen burn’ warranty. I know qled doesn’t get screen burn 👍. I know that flat panel TVs don’t have amazing sound so I’ve connected from the one box optical out to a dac, then I’ve ran a phono cable to my right phono input to my b&w subwoofer. Fantastic bass now while watching regular tv 👏👍. Obviously the subwoofer is connected to my av receiver ( left input) too 😉. Can’t wait to see your video on this tv ‘the frame’. You can keep it on all day as a picture if you want. Just press quickly the power button. The two gripes I have with it so far are,,,,, it’s sometimes quite laggy through the input choices, I’ll try to scroll to say UA-cam, it’ll not scroll then all of a sudden it scrolls, the other is at the top right of screen, I’ll quite often get pop up menus like connect to smart device or Ethernet issues 🤷‍♂️. Otherwise it’s a fantastic picture 👍
